Do you know of anyone na naka move-in na sa ilang house sa Intalio Estates?

Hello! Naa man gud koy friend na nag buy og Magnum unit a few years ago tapos wala pa na turnover. I heard daghan pud daw experienced the same--lagpas na sa equity period but still far from finished ang house. Based on the videos na ilang gipost, wala pa pud koy nakita na finished unit, apart from the model home/display house. It seems concerning. I hope you can share if naa moy kaila na naka move-in na para atleast we can hear about their experience or have some reassurance regarding the actual progress and turnover of the units.

thank you in advance!

Sharing a list of Christian movies that aren't too corny

Great for family movie nights or a simple watch which non-Christian friends might also enjoy (they won't find it too preachy haha)

Fireproof (2008)
The Encounter (2010)
Heaven is for Real (2014)
God's not Dead (2014)
Hacksaw Ridge (2016)
Miracles from Heaven (2016) --- i think this is the best, cried a bucket here 💯

SKL I love the new food halls in NAIA!!

I'm talking about the one in Terminal 3. It's so spacious and has a lot of food varieties tapos may large TV in every corner para clear lahat ng flight updates. The Tambayan food hall is also nice! (Last time i flew was probably last yr pa lol so im shookt and impressed). I wish i could attach the pics here. Hopefully yung grab pick up area na naman ma improve next! 😊

I discourage travelling to Japan in August!

I've been here a week, mostly in Tokyo. It's sooo hot! Parang hotter than the Ph? I went to see mount Fuji kanina and I was kind of disappointed (maybe i was overhyped) it's so hot that it just looked like a plain mountain that felt like a rip-off version of Mt. Mayon. Prior to this, we waited around 2 days for the sky to clear up because the mist/fog filled the entire sky of Hakone so everything was white, Mt. Fuji was completely covered with clouds and could not be seen at alI. I suggest seeing it around the colder season, where it's coated with snow which i think really shows its iconicness.

Anyways, I think the heat in general really takes alot away from the experience. It's very hard to appreciate the natural side of the country/go sightseeing. It's so hot that you'd probably only want to go out around 5pm na hahaha. And around this month, most of nature is just green haha. It's summer! So it's just heat. No cherry blossoms, no autumn leaves, nada. Unfortunately, this was our only available time to come.

Welp, you can still go around doing food trips and shopping. But for the best experience, i think you should avoid July-August.

Thoughts on VA work?

Is it really sustainable? Ive heard of many success stories earning 6-digits a month. If ever they decide to transition into local onsite corporate work, will the VA experience be attractive to recruiters? Or will it be thrown into a pile of "last resort"?

Hoping to get insights from hiring managers and those who have experienced the transition. Thank you very much.

4 Cheese Tortilla Garlic Flatbread [Homemade]

Cream Cheese, Mozzarela, Brie, and Parmesan. I didn't have any cheddar, this was made from leftovers hehe The tortillas were also made from scratch! I can't remember the recipe though haha

I also made a mini sausage-onion pizza ☺️

What we really miss from older movies (80s to early 2000s)

(OPINION)

It's not really the nostalgia. Most movies back then were generally better despite the lower pixel quality.
The storylines and production were more thought-out. That's why they also took longer to produce (usually atleast lyr i think?). They really took the time to think about character design and generally shared with us new perspectives to see the world in.

Nowadays, it's more about finishing the movie the fastest, without any regard to the story so they hyperfocus on the aesthetics.

Sofia Vergara and many other actors have said it's difficult to replicate the spark of old TV shows and movies because everyone wants things faster now. I think they're absolutely right. Which is why indie films get more appreciation now because it actually comes from creative passion (eg. Obsession).

When will hollywood realize that thoughtfully made movies/ shows will actually generate more income in the long run than their regular quickly produced stuff made just to hit sales targets?

Just a thought.

Covid-19 is here, remain vigilant

I have a sibling who works in one of the prominent hospitals here. He said naa na pud daw ubay2 na recently confirmed covid cases in CDO. Gentle reminder lang to:

  1. Always carry alcohol
  2. Bathe before going to bed
  3. Avoid crowded places. If needed, wear a face mask (properly)
  4. If you're starting to develop flu, don't take it lightly & consult a medical professional when possible

What was the first anime that made you cry?

Mine was assassination classroom 😭

What other tragic anime can you suggest? (apart from AoT, Kimi no Nawa, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Graveyard of Fireflies, Your lie in April, other mainstream)

What was the breaking point? what made you resign?

(Sharing this here because Reddit recommended hahaha)

Did you regret it? It would be great if you could add to the this thread with the format below.

Industry: FMCG
Role: Account Management
Regret: (Yes/No) No or maybe not yet? bwahaha

High income but even bigger responsibilities that take up 80-90% of our time and mental energy that we adjust our lives to whatever's left of the little personal time we have. Let's be honest, there's no such thing as "work-life" balance in high paying jobs hahaha there's just work, and our lives revolve around it. I guess it works if most of your family and friends are in the industry or have very similar work? That wasn't the case with me. I dreaded having to see my family only once or twice a month. Sometimes, monday work obligations were so big that I also skipped sunday mass. Then there were times i had to pull 48hr all-nighters and I just felt my body cells perpetually dying haha

Everybody turns a blind eye on how much it consumes a person because it's the "norm". I really enjoyed the work, how it maximized by talents, polished my skills, and stretched me hahaha but the quality time I got to spend with my family was not enough for me (even if i used my accumulated leave credits for 1-2wk vacation).

So I made an industry shift into Real Estate as a Salesperson. The work is not nearly as stimulating as big corp. and I still don't earn as much as I used to but I wake up with a smile from a juicy 8hr sleep everyday and I'm so happy I get more time with my family now~which is priceless for me.

It's been 2yrs and I love my present lifestyle but every now and then, I can't help but reminisce the highlights of big corp. life.

Did you regret it? It seems a lot of people here come from high income work yet many are either job hopping or actively searching. Why is that? It would be great if you could add to the this thread with the format below.

I feel like ang main reason for the Sara Duterte hate kay iyang bisaya na style haha

I mean BBM also steals alot, heck many politicians now steal in the billions bracket but they're not getting as much flak as her 🤷‍♀️ kung mandaot sila, tanan unta para patas ba haha

> DPWH issues in passing, kung ma dumduman
> PhilHealth in passing gihapon, kung ma dumduman. Like the 14B thing na gikawat sa philhealth and they made false liquidations like P5,000 worth nga walis kuno?
> In the past 4yrs, we have added 4 TRILLION pesos to our debts. And as far as i know, only the President can make loans like that. Sooo where did this 4 Trillion pesos go exactly? These kinds of loans make our country the collateral (we're literally slowly selling away our country, whats the point of our June 12 independence day? Lol)

But the Sara Duterte hate is so passionate everywhere, esp. among the tagalogs haha
