I had only been to church for Christmas services, or services with school.

But today I’m so happy to share that I went to my first ‘regular’ Sunday Service at my local village Church of England church, which was a Holy Communion service.

Although I could not participate as not confirmed, I could still receive a blessing from the vicar.

I was very nervous but needn’t have been, as the whole congregation was incredibly friendly. I was one of the youngest in attendance there, being only 20.

At times, I found the service slightly difficult to follow, but quickly picked it up, including the hymns.

I can’t wait to go again next week. I found complete peace in church, as I always have done, and for some reason whenever I sit down in a church, I feel emotional. I don’t know whether anyone else experiences this.

The ones I can remember:

• Cletus - snake tattoo on his left upper arm, seen all the time as he wears vest tops often
• Snake - snake tattoo on his right forearm, seen all the time as his shirts are short-sleeved
• Otto - tattoo on his left arm, seen in The Simpsons Movie

When I was a kid and wasn’t allowed to play GTA, I played Hit and Run instead.

Since then I’ve played all the games since III. Obviously III and Vice City came out just before Hit and Run, with San Andreas coming out just after.

But I was just wondering if anyone knows what the similarities are between GTA and Hit and Run, and which one is most similar?

I think it’s Comic Book Guy but can’t quite remember.

We were together for around 6 months.

The breakup came out of nowhere, he said he’d been feeling like it for a week, saying he didn’t want commitment even though he was the one who pursued me, and then he said it was cos he had lost feelings for me.

Less than a week later he’s found someone else.

Why does this happen? Did I never mean anything to him at all?

I 20F have long wanted to get involved in CofE, but have only recently got the courage to start attending.

I would be attending alone, and I want to go every Sunday. I would also, at some point, like to get involved in helping volunteering at the church, but obviously this wouldn’t be until the future.

How do I choose a church? I would like to go to a village church, an older church, rather than newer churches or those in the towns, as I have only ever been to village churches.

I have been to church a fair few times - but only really for Christmas/Easter etc.

Is there anything I should wear? Where should I sit? And anything else I should know please?

I (21F) got broken up with by 22M boyfriend a week ago and now all of my friends have gone out without me. Feeling lonely - any support?

Just feeling incredibly lonely right now.

I go to work, come back from work and that’s it. Days when I’m not at work is just a constant struggle as I don’t get to see anyone.

Boyfriend broke up with me out of the blue a week ago and now I’ve found out all my friends have gone out without me.

I just feel so lonely and need some support. How do I progress please?

We had been together nearly 6 months.

He told me he loved me, wanted to marry me, wanted to book another vacation, book a concert. He insisted I met his parents really early on too. ‘You’re perfect, you‘re the most beautiful girl in the world’ etc etc.

We got back from vacation just over two weeks ago. When we got back, we couldn’t see one another for a week (which is normal for us due to work) and apparently that’s when he realised. So he’s known for a week.

He was still messaging me as normal even 20 mins before he broke up with me, asking me about my day, and saying ‘wish you were here’.

He did go out with his friends that weekend and I wonder if his head got turned by another girl as that’s when he stopped sending and replying to some TikToks. But then in the same vein, I don’t think he could do that.

He broke up with me over message, saying he doesn’t want the commitment. He said he didn’t realise I’d be so upset. He told me a break wouldn’t have worked when I said we could’ve had one. I wasn’t given any real answers, so I asked to call him the day after.

He said that he’s lost feelings for me this past week and didn’t know how to tell me as he didn't want to upset me. Thinking about it, he stopped calling me ‘beautiful’ at around the same time that he stopped sending and replying to TikToks.

In the texts and in the call there was no real emotion - it was like I never mattered to him.

I look the exact same as when we met over 6 months ago. My personality is the exact same. We’ve always had fun together.

It was totally totally out of the blue.

Some of my friends have since come forward and said they thought he was love-bombing me to begin with, but it seemed to settle down after the first couple of months. A couple of them did said this to me when they noticed, but I stupidly dismissed them. And they were just happy to see me happy.

The more I read about avoidants on TikTok the more I think he could be one. What do you all think, and what type of avoidant could he be?

And will he come back? I don’t want him to but I wonder if he will.
