I know that I don't have any effects like the current one I tried to implement them but I couldn't get it right.

This is more an evolution of the current bug as that was my starting point.

Which is better? Nationals "Curly W" Home Whites (2011-2023) or Old Senators "Cream Pinstripe" Home (1963-1968)?

Yes I know that the later Senators teams wore a different uniform but the most iconic set they wore was the cream homes as they technically didn't have a white uniform when they wore the creams.

In A Seeming Repeat of Their Failed 1998 Stanley Cup Run, The Washington Capitals Get Swept in the Finals By The LA Kings in a 4 Game Series | Reconstructed America

Washington Capitals Captain Alex Ovechkin's reaction to Capitals 4-1 loss to the LA Kings

June 6, 2012

Washington DC (Washington Post) - In a 4-1 loss to the LA Kings, the Washington Capitals become the first team since their unsuccessful attempt in 1998 to be swept in the Stanley Cup Finals. In an ironic coincidence for the Washington Capitals, each game's final score mirrored each game's final score in the Capitals' previous attempt at a Cup in the 1998 Stanley Cup Finals against the Detroit Red Wings. When asked after the game about the series, Washington Capitals' Captain Russian-born Alexander Ovechkin said that "we could have done better, and that it was hard fought."

Many commentators have noted that while this loss to the Kings was heartbreaking for many in the Washington region, that the Capitals are still a very young team and have a bright future ahead. Additionally many observers have noted that it seems that DC has now shifted from being a traditionally football town with the vast popularity of the Washington Redskins, but with the high octane play of the Capitals and their "Young Guns" core of Ovechkin, Backstrom, Green, and Semin to also become a hockey town too. The question for many sports observers is, can Washington truly become a multi-sport city or is this excitement around the Capitals only because of the recent success of the Capitals and their captain Alex Ovechkin, or is this truly a new era in Washington sports with the city becoming a true multi-sport city like its traditional rivals New York and Philadelphia?

Final Score for the each game in the 2012 Stanley Cup Finals:

Game 1: Staples Center Los Angeles, California; LA Kings 2 - 1 Washington Capitals

Game 2: Staples Center Los Angeles, California; LA Kings 5 - 4 Washington Capitals

Game 3: Verizon Center Chinatown, Washington DC; LA Kings 2 - 1 Washington Capitals

Game 4: Verizon Center Chinatown, Washington DC; LA Kings 4 - 1 Washington Capitals

To watch the 2013 Washington Capitals regular season tune to Home Team Sports on Cable and WDCA "dc20" over the air on channel 20. And new for 2012, tune into Home Team Sports for coverage of the Washington Nationals.

I want to recreate the look of an old American animation cel/frame intended for NTSC broadcast but need help with color setting.

The look I am going for is roughly ~1973 - ~1995 (yes I know that is a broad time period but I am trying to reproduce the look of an animation cel not art style)

I can't figure out if the color mode for the document should be RGB or CMYK based on images of animation cels online.

I also didn't know what color profile I should use, should I use Rec.601 NTSC Gamma 2.4 or SDTV NTSC 16-235.

Joke about DC Sports

Defense what is that? I’m a Washington Sports fan every time a DC team has been good in my lifetime [born in 2007] they are known for a high flying offense and everything else comes secondary. The only times I can remember the Washington Redskins sorry Football Team sorry Commanders (I’ll get it right eventually) being good was RG3’s and Daniels’ rookie years, they could score on anyone, hell if you had an end-zone they will score. That offense during Daniels’ rookie year was able not only make it to the NFC Championship against the divisional rivals the Eagles and put up more points against the eventual champions than the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, but also put up more yards with a punter whose also Commanders QB4 than the total of yards by every Cowboys QB combined in the NFC Championship Game since 1996.

Edit for context: the seasons I mentioned I might or might not remember I was just mentioning teams which where good

Mods can we add a joke post flair?

Mods can we please add a post for jokes about the Capitals as I have some jokes I would like to share and I bet others do too. Also are we so uptight about our own team that we can’t make self deprecating jokes about it for our amusement? I have had a few jokes I have wanted to share, a few specific about the capitals and others about DC sports in general.

Colbert Finale: "We'll Meet Again"

Some of the people in the bit were a throwback to an old political era like Toby Keith and Cory Booker sharing a stage with Henry Kissinger and Nate Silver (that one surprised me).

How can I watch the final episode of the Colbert Report? (I already tried Rule 2)

I know that rule 2 states: "Posts on how to watch the show will be removed. Please reference the WIKI page." which I did and I couldn't find anything on how to watch the Colbert Report just the Late Show. I am asking cause I would like to watch the final episode of the Colbert Report as I missed watching it when it first aired cause I was too young

Home Team Sports (HTS) Throwback Contest Bug Entry ["Retro Bug Initiative" Entry Example]

Last Slide is the original HTS Scorebug from Panthers @ Capitals on 12/5/97 (ie first ever NHL game at MCI Center [Now Capital One Arena]) for reference

Home Team Sports became Comcast Sportsnet then NBC Sports Washington and finally Monumental Sports Network

u/rabbipika

** You do not need this many images for your entry but more is encouraged [1-3 minimum: 1-2 for concept, and 1 if a reference was used]. Nor do you need to state the exact date of the day the Scorebug was used, the year of the season it was used is plenty and if you don't know the season: ~[part of decade such as late- 90s in this case is acceptable]. **

Scorebug Creation Contest "Retro Bug Initiative"

I think a competition where members of the subreddit make retro-based scorebugs would be a fun idea with how much of a positive reaction the recent 80s night White Sox broadcast got. The idea for the theme is can you make a scorebug that feels almost straight out of the 1980s-90s sports broadcast.

Rules:
- No AI Scorebugs (any Scorebug created by AI will be not only immediately disqualified and will be reported to u/1maybe2tree for removal)

- Can be any sport including Motorsports

- One Entry Per User

- Recreations are ok, if you also modernize them to include all elements that would be included in a modern scorebug like shots on goal in hockey. Please include the reference you used as the last slide

- If you that inspiration from a regional sports network please include name of the rsn at the time you are using as a reference (for example; HTS 1997), the history of that network (ie if it has changed names, if it still exist what is its current name [for example; HTS -> CSN -> NBCSN WSH -> Monumental] )

- Use period accurate logos for any network logos you use ( for example if the network has changed names use the old name and logo ) except if you can't find any logos from that time for the network and have specified in the description

Please tag me in the description of your entry at the bottom to be entered. Date for entries submissions closing will be announced in another post and added to the end of this post.

Example for an Entry: https://www.reddit.com/r/Scorebug/comments/1u420v7/home_team_sports_hts_throwback_contest_bug_entry/

Can We add a no ai made scorebug rule?

I'm sick of seeing concepts which are just ai when actually human made concepts have actual thought put into them and actual time and effort put into them?

edit: even one or two AI concepts are two many
