Me in the main sub when people start hating on 2042 for no reason

A new player was asking what Battlefield he should buy and he said what his likes and dislikes in video games are and it just sounded like he would enjoy 2042, so that’s the one I recommended and I talked about how customizable it is in Portal and you have a few different eras to play in and I got downvoted for it

Does anyone else include Hawkeye in their Defenders watch order now?

Back when it first aired I didn’t see it that way. It was just another New York MCU show that happened to feature the return of Wilson Fisk. In hindsight having now watched the first two seasons of Born Again, I’m going to include this as part of The Defenders saga. It introduces a new New York based superhero in Kate Bishop, kicks off with “The Incident” which was a talking point in the beginning of Daredevil season 1, introduces The Swordsman, and reintroduces Vincent D’onofrio’s Kingpin.

Who else is a fan of these two series (GLOW 2017-2019 & Heels 2021-2023) on here?

They’re different in a lot of ways. GLOW is about a women’s wrestling company in the 1980’s in California and Nevada with the occasional men’s wrestler appearing, and Heels is about a wrestling company in modern day Georgia with a full men’s roster and very little women’s wrestling. They’re decades apart and separated by thousands of miles, but I really enjoy them both and would like to imagine some crossover between them.

Is anyone else having to blast their volume on Punisher: One Last Kill?

I use my tv at about 20-30 volume with the surround sound set about 4 units quieter on just about any other show or movie. For this movie I have it pushing 40 and even then some scenes are just about impossible to hear. Just me and my tv?

I’m not squeamish with blood or violence. I play horror games with gore, I watch action movies and it usually doesn’t bother me. The scene of Fisk attacking the protestors turned my stomach. Part of that has to do with the politics of the show and seeing an authority figure murder the public, but also just seeing an individual with super strength use his full strength against regular people rather than superheroes who can fight back and take the blows. Several of those people died, the guy in this image is going to be paralyzed, and others might end up disfigured and scarred and it took almost nothing for Wilson to do these things. He didn’t ground and pound anyone. I’m not sure he ever hit the same person twice, but that one hit from him was enough.

This isn’t a complaint or anything, just a reaction.

I made a Twitch account a while ago so I could get Twitch Drops for video games every couple of months when they happen in the games I play. I made the account and I entered my phone number correctly but I typed my email as “@gmail.con” which worked at the time. I would watch those videos, get my drops then leave. Later on I started watching a couple about my age who had just started streaming. I was their first subscriber and had the founders badge on that account and would chat with them. One day I got a pop up that they required email verification to chat. No problem, let me go do that.

That’s when I realized I had mistyped when making my email, and Twitch didn’t offer me any other way (that I’m aware of) to change my email or work around the issue. I signed out of the account and made a new one with my second email. I resubbed to that channel, but the channel had grown and I no longer had a founders badge. Oh well, that’s not a big deal, but it was cool to have. Life went on.

Today I got on and a different channel I follow was doing Twitch drops in one of my video games I play. It popped up saying that in order to chat on that channel, it required that I verify my phone number. Sure, I’ll do that. I entered my phone number (the only one I have) and requested a verification code be texted to me. Twitch told me that my phone number was already linked to another account (the .con) and in order to link it to this new one, I would have to go to the .con account and enable some setting, which I can’t remember the name of. Anyways, you know what you have to do to enable that setting? That’s right, you have to verify your email, which I CAN’T DO BECAUSE I MISTYPED MY EMAIL AS .CON.

This isn’t the worst thing to happen, but it’s so frustrating that my finger being 1/8 of an inch to the left by mistake when I set up my account I’m unable to use my Twitch accounts (even future accounts I made with a correctly spelled email) to participate in communities I’ve been involved in and watched grow.

This isn’t a serious idea or suggestion, just a thought I had. Imagine if they announced that they would begin filming Season 4 of the original Daredevil series. It would take place some time between the events of the two shows as they are now and we could see Foggy again and the trio all together happily. We could also see some Born Again characters like Kirsten, Cherry, Detective Kim, etc. Maybe they could bring back Matt’s mom too. It would never happen, but I love to imagine what exists in that time period. If someone wrote a strong fanfic season covering this with a story, villain, etc. I’d read that, and if Marvel did make this I wouldn’t complain at all

I’m not used to dealing with all of these launchers. I got the game on Steam, installed it on my computer as well as the EA launcher. Whether I launch it from EA or Steam, it opens my browser (Brave) and takes me to Battlelog. I was able to play the campaign last night but when I try server browser or quick play I get stuck in this loop where Battlelog opens EA launcher and EA launcher opens Battlelog.

How am I supposed to start this game, and is this normal for PC gaming? I appreciate the help guys
