Is Circe wearing long boots or shoes with leggings?

Circe's design in Creature Commandos is quite cool, but her footwear is strange visually. I can't tell if she's wearing long boots or a shoe with leggings on top? And if those silver pieces are even part of the boot/shoe?

[Loved design] Circe in Creature Commandos

I love Circe's design in Creature Commandos. I like that it's got a very armored look to represent her Amazonian roots while also looking elegant and regal.

On top of that, after she gets burned and mauled by Weasel and Doctor Phosphorus, I love how they incorporate her wounds into her design, with the handprint-scar imprinted into her face and bite marks on her shoulders/body.

In most animations characters heal instantly/lose their wounds in subsequent scenes, but with Circe they kept all the damage prominent showing that she has permanent scars as part of her design now.

Disney theme parks/cruises are dropping cool hints at Wanda's return

Disney is known for putting on shows and character meet-and-greets for current Marvel super heroes. But recently, they've been giving a much bigger spotlight to Wanda at two of their most popular attractions, with interesting hints to her return:

Disneyland's Avengers Campus

At Avengers Campus they regularly send out current-day MCU heroes for meet-and-greets. Recently, Scarlet Witch has been seen consistently taking pictures with guests, and notably she no longer has blackened finger-tips. When asked, she states to guests that she is no longer under the Darkhold's control and she is now trying to do her best to be the hero the Avengers have always wanted her to be.

Disney Cruise Show

The Disney Cruise has put on a new show for guests that includes many Avengers uniting to stop a tesseract empowered Red Skull. Near the end of the show, Scarlet Witch arrives to help the Avengers (in her Multiverse of Madness uniform, minus the blackened finger-tips). After they win, she references the events of the MCU and losing her family, while Sam Wilson reassures her that the Avengers are part of her family too.

The full show is here for those interested: Disney Cruise show

It's interesting to see this massive push by Disney to put the spotlight on Wanda in many of their attractions, and especially how they are dropping hints at Wanda's freedom from the Darkhold and return to the Avengers.

Just some cool events that hint at her return in the future!

If Hulk and Sylvie meet in Doomsday, how do you want their interaction to go?

Now that we have Savage Hulk back, and Sylvie is reportedly going to be back as well, it would be interesting to see Hulk interacting with another 'Loki'. If they run into each other, how would you want their interaction to go?

*P.s. Left pic is a Hulk render from Brand New Day, right pic is an apparent leak of Sylvie's new look in Doomsday.

Cool detail- AJ wears Lilly's boots after he kills her

One of Telltale's graphic designers released a bunch of character sheets for Season 4 a while ago, and when looking through them again I realized that his design of AJ at the end of the game is completely identical to the design at the start of the game aside from one detail- he's wearing Lilly's boots at the end.

It's an easy thing to overlook, but it's actually a really cool small detail. Do you think it holds any significance at all (i.e. making AJ seem more ruthless/immoral, given that he shot Lilly multiple times and apparently wore her boots after too)?

u/Tcustomcorner — 6 days ago

Morality of AJ killing Lilly after she surrendered and was begging/crying for her life?

In the Walking Dead Telltale games, Lilly (an ex-military personnel) leads a group that tries to kidnap a group of children to use for labor, including AJ.

At the end of the game, the kids escape, and AJ along with another kid named Clementine stab a knife into Lilly's leg, incapacitating her. She then looks up at AJ (who has a gun) and begins crying and begging for her life, saying "I give up, I will give up" and "Please.. I don't want to die".

AJ proceeds to shoot her in the face, and then empty the entire clip into her body.

How moral/immoral is AJ in this scenario? Did he technically commit a war crime?

Did Multiverse of Madness do a good job making you hate the villain?

A good villain is typically someone the audience is able to hate and root against, so that when the hero wins it feels satisfying or cathartic.

With that said, do you think Multiverse of Madness did a good job in making you hate the villain (Scarlet Witch)?

If Wonder Woman was actually IN-CHARACTER in Injustice, how do you think the story would have changed?

The writer of Injustice (Tom Taylor) has said before that when he wrote this series, he INTENTIONALLY wrote Wonder Woman as a completely different person because he couldn't imagine any universe where the real Diana would love and support Injustice Superman.

With that said, if Wonder Woman was actually IN-CHARACTER in this series, how do you think this story would have changed? How do you think her arc would go?

This is what I think:

-Wonder Woman would be one of the first heroes trying to talk Superman down. After killing the Joker she'd give Superman some space and compassion and try to keep the other heroes supported/hopeful even in Superman's absence. She'd act as the diplomat between Batman and Superman, trying to keep them together while they slowly begin falling apart into their own 'factions' (i.e. Regime and Resistance).

-But the moment Superman started doing things like overthrowing governments and pulling Atlantis out of the water, Wonder Woman would stand against him fiercely. She'd be one of the first and one of the biggest dominos to fall in this conflict.

-This would lead her to fight Superman head on, and as we all know Diana never gives up. She'd fight him with everything she has while Superman pulls the whole 'I don't want to fight you, Diana' card. Eventually he'd be forced to go all-out, and he'd probably end up killing her when he has the advantage (e.g. if she gets distracted or give him a moment of mercy). Then he'd pull the whole stupid sympathy act that he always did in this series, saying things like "No... I.. I didn't mean to... I'm sorry."

-This is the event that would be the final nail in the coffin, irreparably splitting up any chance of peace between Batman and Superman. Wonder Woman's death would literally represent the death of diplomacy in this story. The Trinity would be broken, and the entire super hero community would shatter as a result, with some joining Superman's Regime and many other joining Batman's resistance.

[Satisfying trope] Villain goes after the child... and the child makes them sorely regret it

Often times when a villain targets a child, the child is a victim who needs to be saved by a hero. But in certain cases, the child has enough of the villain's abuse, and instead of waiting for a savior, they gain the bravery to hurt the villain themselves.

  1. Wanda Maximoff (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness): Wanda Maximoff A.K.A. the Scarlet Witch chases a young child named America Chavez through the multiverse, in the aims to steal her power. After seeing multiple people die during Wanda's pursuit, America Chavez chooses to stand up to the witch herself. After she gains the bravery to use her powers against Wanda, she begins punching and kicking Wanda so hard that she shatters multiverse portals on Wanda's face/body, eventually almost sending her to hell. While Chavez ends up losing the fight, Wanda looks visually disheveled/hurt after Chavez's attack.

  2. Donald Pierce (Logan): Donald Pierce chases down a young girl named Laura Kinney A.K.A. X-23 after she escapes a research center where she and many other children were being brutally tested on. By the end of the film, the children all escape, and end up confronting Pierce. He begins pleading for mercy as they all proceed to use their various powers on him (wrapping him in vines, telekinetically throwing him violently into the ground, electrocuting him, etc) and giving him a slow agonizing death.

[Loved trope] Characters wear their enemy's clothes/armor after they defeat them

After defeating their enemy, the characters take an item of their enemy's clothes/armor to wear for themselves

  1. Ragdoll (Secret Six): After the Secret Six defeat Wonder Woman, Ragdoll (a triple-jointed man on the team) steals her boots and begins wearing them. He had been complaining about needing a new pair of boots, and in this moment he is finally happy stating that Wonder Woman's boots fit him well.

  2. Magneto (X-Men: First Class): After Magneto kills Sebastian Shaw, he takes his telepath-proof helmet and wears it as his own. The last thing he says before putting it on is "I'm sorry Charles, but I don't trust you". This was a significant symbolic gesture that officially marked the divide between Professor X and Magneto, and Erik continues wearing the helmet throughout his tyranny as 'Magneto'.

I've intentionally chosen a lifetime of celibacy and loneliness. Do i sound like a bad person?

I [29M] have been single my whole life, never even held a hand romantically. My father was prone to having explosive anger issues when I was young, especially toward my mother, and when confronted he'd gaslight us telling us all that we were wrong and we were attacking him.

Anyway, I grew up loving my family including him, but hating the idea of relationships. I saw my father's outbursts as pathetic. I began seeing the outbursts/actions of other men as pathetic. I thought that their lack of self-control and the way they chased women for sexual pleasure was, as I said... pathetic. And I viewed (and still view) myself as above all of that. As superior. So I've always been strictly celibate, looking down on any potential of a relationship with pure disgust and hatred. I try not to rain on anybody else's parade. If other people want to be in healthy relationships, so be it. I hope they have fun. But I will not accept that for myself.

And while it's easy to think I am just a victim of my upbringing... I'm not entirely. If I'm being honest, my disgust towards romance comes from various negative places (feelings of superiority, hatred of rejection, and a need to maintain my idea of being above all of it). I know that I could simply choose to look at the negative examples I've seen, and try to be better. Try to treat a woman better than those men. But I don't want to. Sure, I'll advocate for other men to make that step, but not me. I'd rather stay alone and celibate, with my head held high. It's not that I feel like I'd treat a potential partner poorly (after all that goes entirely against everything I stand for). If anything, I'd want to treat her the absolute best I could. But that just makes rejecting that opportunity feel even better. The fact that I could choose to live a better life with someone else, but I refuse to. I live every day full of anger to the point where sometimes it feels like I'm on fire, but I refuse to give in.

Going back to my parents, they feel sad about my decisions. My father has genuinely tried hard to improve his attitude, and despite occasional outbursts here and there, and I can see that. My mother feels like the dynamic they had ruined my outlook on love and that my choices are their fault. Both of them have immense love for me. Even when I was a kid that was never in question. Both of them simply want me to be happy and to not be alone. They know I do better when I'm with others, rather than by myself. But I've told them that I have no plans to change.

I choose this path that I know hurts me, and I choose it intentionally.

Do I sound like a bad person or an asshole?

Who would you rather the Commandos beat up in Season 2- Circe (again) or Rick Flagg Sr?

Creature Commandos does a great job with creating bloody fights that push the limits of what typical super hero media would show. In Season 1, we got the awesome takedown of Circe at the hands of Weasel and Doctor Phosphorus.

With that said, if the Commandos get another brutal action sequence again in season 2, who would you rather them beat up? Circe (again) or Rick Flagg Sr?

Should I accept these screen-worn Scarlet Witch boots for my son?

My son (7 year old boy) is a huge fan of the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. As a Chinese heavier-bodied boy, he absolutely adores the character of Wong in that film, and it's clear to see that he looks up to and sees himself in that heroic character. From my experience, it's rare to see a heavier Asian man leading a film like this, so as a father it means the world to see my son jumping up and down at our TV yelling "get that evil witch!" whenever Wong comes on and fights Wanda (a.k.a. Scarlet Witch, the film's villain). That representation matters.

That being said, we have a close friend who works in the costuming department of many Hollywood films, and he recently reached out and said he can give us the screen-used Scarlet Witch boots worn by Elizabeth Olsen in Multiverse of Madness. He knows my son loves the film, and apparently those boots got separated from the rest of the costume during transport and now they no longer need them.

However, while I appreciate the gesture immensely, as I said before my son is a big fan of the Wong character and always roots against Wanda as he knows she's the villain. So I don't know if having her boots is something he'd think is cool or if he'd even want them. I don't want to outright ask him because if I do accept them, I want to surprise him with it and hopefully make him happy.

So just wanted to ask for all of your opinions, do you think I should accept these boots to give to my son? Or do you think this is something he would dislike?

Do *Spoiler*'s boots fit with their costume?

So, according to set pictures we now know that >!Elodie Young will return as Elektra in a more comic-accurate suit!<.

But according to the photos, do her boots look a bit... off to you? Maybe if they were red and more simplistic they'd look better? Or do you think they look good just the way they are?

[Rare trope] Female villains who get shown no mercy

Often times, female villains are treated a lot more gently in comparison to male villains. They rarely get the "beaten to a pulp by the hero" treatment, and more often get let off the hook by either getting redeemed, talked down, or taken down with minimal force.

However in some rare cases, the heroes have no regard for the fact that the villain is a woman, and absolutely brutalize them with no mercy.

  1. Circe (Creature Commandos): The Creature Commandos, specifically Weasel and Doctor Phosphorus, absolutely DESTROY Circe when she tries to kill a foreign princess. As Circe prepares to kill the princess, Weasel tackles her, knocks her through a window while biting her, falls multiple feet and lands on her, and then proceeds to absolutely rip her flesh apart, biting and scratching her from her head to her toes. He grabs her hair, smashes her face into the pavement, and then when she tries to crawl away on her hands and knees, Doctor Phosphorus proceeds to press his burning hand into her face WHILE Weasel CONTINUES to actively slash away at her back, causing her to scream in absolute agony while her face sizzles and bleeds in Phosphorus' hand.

  2. Lady Deathstrike (Hulk vs Wolverine): Hulk goes on a rampage in a Weapon X facility, fighting many of Wolverine's villains. When Lady Deathstrike (a cybernetic assassin) tries to attack him, he calls her "ugly girl" and proceeds to clap his hands in her direction, sending her flying backward violently and knocking her unconscious. He then picks her up by her arms, allowing her to regain consciousness before he begins screaming in her face. She screams back at him, and in response he brutally RIPS both her cybernetic arms out of her body, shredding her internal wiring and causing her to scream in absolute agony while she falls to the floor unconscious again.

  3. Annie Leonhart (Attack on Titan): When Annie is exposed as a traitor, she transforms into the giant Female Titan and attempts to escape. However, Eren Yeager chases after her, transforming into the giant Attack Titan and fighting her head-on. She defeats him in a short fight, but as he lies bloodied, he gathers the resolve to destroy her and gets back up, charging at her with so much rage that his titan ignites into flames as it runs. He tackles her and then proceeds to violently grab her face, squeezing it so hard that her eyeballs pop out and her facial bones crush and shatter inward while she screams in absolute agony. She eventually kicks him off, and begins stumbling toward the town's wall to try and climb over and escape. As she starts climbing the wall, Eren jumps up and grabs her, biting and tearing off one of her legs as he falls down with it. She continues climbing desperately with one leg, until Mikasa, Eren's comrade, swoops in and cuts all of Annie's fingers off. Mikasa stands on Annie's crushed face, telling her to "fall" as Annie plummets back to the floor. Eren then jumps back on top of Annie, punching her so hard that her arm and head fly off. He then rips open her neck to expose Annie's true body, and Annie crystalizes herself to end the fight and protect her body.

Doesn't it piss you off that so many companies REFUSE to make Classic Wonder Woman?

So Mafex finally released images of a new Classic-esque Wonder Woman from the Superman For Tomorrow story, and it just got me thinking.

Wonder Woman is a phenomenal, top-tier popular character who almost every super hero fan wants in their collection... yet almost EVERY company who makes DC figures is reluctant to make a Classic Wonder Woman figure.

A classic standard Batman or Superman figure? They'll give us 10 variations of those, no problem! But a Classic Wonder Woman figure? Almost NEVER. We basically have to pull TEETH from these companies to finally get a Classic Wonder Woman from them. They are practically burning money by not making her, and it makes no sense.

Take McFarlane Toys for example. They had the license for FOUR YEARS before they finally released a Classic Wonder Woman, after relentless complaining and pestering from the fans. The moment they made her... she sold out! People want her, yet these companies still refuse. Mafex took YEARS to make this release. LPZZ is planning to make a Classic Batman and Superman, but no Wonder Woman. The trend goes on and on.

It's straight up ridiculous.
