He climbed up too far and had no plan, except to climb higher. I had to pull out the 6 foot step ladder and climb up into the tree to get him down.

None of the roots in the pic seem to be attached to the things. I’ve wondered if they might be some kind of calcified fungus, or a coconut, or something man-made. I haven’t really handled them much, but the surface does feel made rather than organic.

There was probably about 900 - 1000 vertical feet. But that choke point isn’t going to last much longer.

First time skiing Airplane Gulley. Skied it 3 times… it’s steeper than it looks.
