What's the best part of living in Taipa or Coloane?

I like to visit these places on street view. It's still 2008 and the casinos were still being built, like time has stopped. Something very cosy about those two places.

Connie Booth admits that John Cleese wrote the dialogue of Faulty towers

John Cleese's 'devastating' split from Fawlty Towers co-star wife | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV | Express.co.uk

Connie Booth: "In the year and a half it took to write Fawlty Towers, John and I never imagined the impact the show would have," she stated. "On its 50th anniversary, I’d like to take the opportunity to get something straight. John wrote the dialogue."

The 85-year-old continued: "Before that dialogue was written, he and I developed the plots. Each episode took about a month to contrive. Out of the ridiculous complications of farce, his brilliant lines emerged.

"When the issue of billing arose, I thought ‘Written by John Cleese, storyline by us both’ would’ve been fine for me. John said they didn’t do that in TV comedy and insisted on co-authorship."

She went on to say that "yielding to John's generous offer turned out to be a kind of poisoned chalice. For half a century, I’ve been receiving praise for lines which John wrote.

"When people quote back words from the script, instead of flattered, I felt counterfeit. I’ve had to say, 'No, John wrote that.'"

In a way, Mike is Larry David and Bames is George Costanza

Mike never played the role of the angry video game nerd because it wasn't even considered, and because he is, as we all know, the real life avgn (he enjoys getting worked up about a game).

Larry did the same thing with George Costanza. It was never even considered that he would play the role of George even if many of the stories in the show were his real life stories.

Both shows it would have never worked.

Larry was too busy writing and producing it, and he didn't want to do it.

Mike being the protagonist of the avgn series wouldn't have worked because the whole series was based on Bames' charisma especially early on. His rage was real and you felt as if you watched an old pal play a retro game (which is something most people would have experienced)

It's the same reason the real Kramer would have never worked but Michael Richards is the undeniable Kramer we all know and love.

As the years went by Jason Alexander sort of resented being always thought of as George Costanza, a byproduct of being so great at one role everyone thinks of that character you played as your permanent real life character.

Bames now resents the character of avgn that made him famous because he is stuck doing it even though he's not a gamer.

Even though he wanted to quit he was forced to keep doing it by his own self.

At least in curb your enthusiasm there was an episode where Jason says he was sick of being always thought of as the schmuck George Costanza and the character of Larry David gets offended by that because that's what it was based on, Larry's own life. I wonder if in 20 years after the avgn series is long gone maybe Bames (Sir Rasta Bimmy) will be able to sort of step back and say what's on his mind about the whole character and series when it will not be financially relevant anymore and he can speak his mind.

I guess at the end of the day, the winner will always be the creator of the series. Even though Mike can not really be named as the creator, whereas Larry can, Mikey Matinee really carried the series and what would have undeniably been at most three episodes long became a series that inspired many YouTubers and entertained millions of people until it eventually fizzed out and became flat and boring like a cup of Soylent left out for a week.

"if you see this, then you need to modify MiSTER.ini"

I tried to run update_all so that it would install the 3DO core, but got this screen instead:

"if you see this, then you need to modify MiSTER.ini

Either disable framebuffer: fb_terminal=0

or enable scaler on VGA: vga_scaler=1"

I am using scart. I don't want to fuck something up so, what should I do?

The drum solo in Englishman in New York sounds so odd

Don't get me wrong, I have always enjoyed that song. But that particular part of the song is so odd. It's like he completely changes the song, like it's a different track lol.
