[Indie Sunday] We just hit 100 daily players on GRAZE: Edge Rush - a 1-tap game where you score by almost dying. Come help break my 48,345 high score before Monday reset

100 daily players.

A month ago GRAZE: Edge Rush had 1 player - my son falling asleep on my chest. Today it has 100.

Thank you.

For anyone new - I'm Keith, solo dad dev from PA. GRAZE is super simple:

Playing safe does nothing, this isn’t flappy bird. The CLOSER you graze the danger, the higher your multiplier (x1 to x16). One tap to float, instant restart, new course and a fresh global leaderboard every day.

No forced ads. No pay-to-win. Just you vs. the edge.

Why I'm posting on Indie Sunday:

We hit 100 DAU yesterday for the first time. 25 ratings, 4.8 stars. I'm blown away and I want you in the next 100.

Weekend Fray - Join us:

- Free on iOS: Search "GRAZE Edge Rush" in the App Store or https://apps.apple.com/us/app/graze-edge-rush/id6785326186
- Daily leaderboard resets every night at 8pm EST - everyone starts equal
- All-time high is 48,345 and I can't beat it anymore - 3 people beat me yesterday alone
- Weekend challenge: Beat 48,345 before Monday and you’ll be eternalized on the all-time leaderboard

If you try it, drop your high score below. What score are you stuck on?

100 to 200 - let's go.

- Keith

Made a one-thumb arcade game where getting closer to death is literally the point (GRAZE: Edge Rush)

Most “one tap” games reward you for playing safe. This one does the opposite.

GRAZE: Edge Rush is built around a single idea: the closer you fly to an obstacle without touching it, the more you score. Touch it and it’s over. So the entire game is a constant negotiation with how much risk you’re willing to eat for points.

Controls are dead simple, one thumb, hold to rise, release to fall, thread your dot through gates. But the scoring system is what makes it click. Chain close grazes together and your Heat multiplier climbs, the whole screen shifting from cold cyan to molten red as the risk (and payout) peaks. Play it safe and the multiplier just bleeds away.

A few things that make it worth a shot:

-Daily seeded run, everyone gets the exact same course each day, so the leaderboard is actually a fair fight, not RNG

-Endless mode if you just want to chase a personal best

-Real Game Center leaderboards with anti-cheat, not a fake local one

No forced ads, no timers, no energy bars, no IAP. Free to download and rapid fire play thereafter.

It’s got flappy bird DNA but the “graze for points” mechanic changes the whole rhythm of how you play, you’re not just avoiding death, you’re hunting it.

Would love to see some scores posted here if people give it a run.

[Free] I won #1 on PixelPicked this week - free game, no forced ads, same Flappy Bird feel but you have to graze death to score

Flappy Bird: Avoid everything.

My game GRAZE: Edge Rush: Avoiding gives you 0 points. You have to graze within 8px of death to score. Chain grazes to build a multiplier. Avoid and you lose it.

Solo dev, built so I could play in one hand during the long nights with my newborn in the other arm. No forced ads, no IAP tricks, just a daily board and leaderboard that everyone is competing on. Just won #1 Launch Game this week on PixelPicked which still feels fake: https://pixelpicked.com

This clip is x16 bubble field - 3,932 → 8,609 in 9 seconds. My best today is 22,000, all time best is 37,661.

Free download if you want to try to beat it - link in comments so I don't get flagged for self-promo.

GRAZE: Edge Rush - Keith Braccia - One thumb arcade game where you score by almost dying, now on iOS

Hey everyone, happy Indie Sunday. I built this one solo and this thread felt like the right place to finally share it.

The whole game runs on a single risky idea. You score by skimming as close to the obstacles as you can without touching them. Play it safe and you barely move the needle. Ride the edge and your Heat multiplier climbs fast, and the whole screen starts to glow with it. One thumb, instant restart, no waiting around after you die.

There are two ways to play. Endless is the classic chase for your high score. Daily gives everyone on earth the exact same course each day and resets at midnight, so the leaderboard is a fresh fight every morning. I just added a Daily Wins counter too, so every day you finish number 1 gets tallied and stays with you. It turns out people get weirdly competitive about that.

Stuff I cared about while making it:
- One thumb controls, pick up and play in a second
- No ads and no in app purchases at all
- Game Center leaderboards and a permanent record of your daily wins

It is 0.99 on the App Store, one time, and that is the whole deal. No ads, nothing to buy after, ever. I went that route on purpose because I wanted the game to respect your time.

Gameplay clip is here: https://youtube.com/shorts/3QWRRURp8O4?is=ui1_4OrH6DS6lOvN

App Store link is in the comments. If you run today's daily I would genuinely love to hear what score you got, and if you beat mine even better. I lost on the daily leaderboard for the first time yesterday. Was a bitter sweet moment for sure.

Made a one-tap reflex game where getting closer to death is the whole point — no ads, no IAP, just $0.99 (iOS)

Solo dev here. I've been chasing that "one more try" feeling from old games like Flappy Bird, but wanted a twist: instead of just avoiding obstacles, you're rewarded for cutting it as close as possible without dying. The closer you skim the edge, the higher your multiplier climbs — screen goes from cold blue to molten red as the risk (and payout) peaks.

Fun fact: I built most of this and did a ton of playtesting on the toilet. Should've just called it Dump Game lol.

There's a daily seeded course everyone plays identically, so you're competing on a real leaderboard against the same run as everyone else, plus an endless mode if you just want to chase your own best.

Available on the App Store for iPhone — no ads, no IAP, no timers, paid once ($0.99) and that's it. Built around the Taptic Engine so every near-miss actually has a bit of a physical jolt to it.

Here's a clip — would love any feedback, especially if something feels unfair or too punishing. Happy to answer questions about how it's built too, since I did the whole thing solo.

Also — I'm currently sitting at the top of today's leaderboard. Somebody please come beat me before midnight, I need the competition.

I’ve released my first iOS game called GRAZE: Edge Rush entirely on my own — design, code, art, all of it — and it just went live. Wanted to share it with people who actually play this genre and get some honest feedback.

One-tap arcade game where you score not just by not dying, but getting really close — the closer you graze the edge, the more points you earn.

Game Title: GRAZE: Edge Rush

Playable Link: GRAZE: Edge Rush

I’ve been building a little iOS game called GRAZE: Edge Rush entirely on my own — design, code, art, all of it — and it just went live. Wanted to share it with people who actually play this genre and get some honest feedback.

The whole idea is built around one mechanic: you score by getting as close to danger as possible without touching it. Hold to rise, release to fall, and thread a glowing dot through gates — but the points don’t come from playing safe, they come from the graze. Skim a lethal edge and you earn; string near-misses together and a Heat multiplier climbs, turning the whole screen from cold cyan to molten red as the risk (and payout) peaks.

It’s a game about nerve.

There’s a daily course that’s the same for everyone and resets each day (so you’re competing on identical runs), plus an endless mode, Game Center leaderboards, and it’s tuned to the Taptic Engine so every graze actually feels like something.

Honest disclosure: it’s a one-time $0.99, with no ads, no in-app purchases, and no timers. I really didn’t want to build one of those games. Just one tap and instant retry.

The real reason I made it: I’ve got a 10-month-old son, and I wanted to build something of my own that could grow into a little something for his future. This is my first real swing at it.

I’d genuinely love your feedback — what feels good, what feels off, what would make you keep playing.
