Best ice cream place with milkshakes near me

I’m in Kettering right now and looking for a place that sells milkshakes! Really good ones! Preferably not too far from here! Trying to cool down in this heat.

What smart watch should I get?

I want to buy a smart watch for my partner. I’m looking for one that:

Has a round body/face
Not too bulky
Good for tracking fitness - runs mainly
Tracks health features well like heart rate and sleep
Works on Android
Battery life is decent
Good quality (won’t break easily if worn at a job that’s pretty physical)
Can receive text notifications

Any gym recommendations that aren’t flooded with people and expensive?

Looking for a gym to join that doesn’t have a ton of people all the time or where I can keep to myself and not feel too overwhelmed/overstimulated. Also looking for one that isn’t too expensive and maybe includes a guest pass for those few times my husband can join (he works a lot).

It can either be a chain or a local gym. Would love personal experiences!

Combination-oily skincare routine help

I need help creating a skincare routine that works for me! I’m looking for a simple one (cleanser, toned, serum, moisturizer). The routine I use now makes my skin sticky and doesn’t seem to absorb even after a while of letting it try and soak in.

I have combination-oily skin, texture from acne scars, and redness. Here’s my current routine:

  1. Oil cleanser (at night only) - prequel oil cleanser

  2. Cleanser - prequel + SA non-drying salicylic acid cleanser (sometimes I feel like this makes my face oily and doesn’t come off fully when I try and remove it. Would be willing to change this since it might be for more oily skin than mine)

  3. Exfoliator (only use it twice a week at night) - Thayer’s AHA exfoliating pads

  4. Toner/hydrating mist - Cocokind calming magnesium mist (I use this morning and night every day)

  5. Serum - Byoma phyto mucin glow serum (I use this morning and night everyday)

  6. Moisturizer - prequel half and half peptides + ceramides fluid moisturizer

Looking for sandals

Looking for sandals with a little more support than your basic barefoot shoe. I would like them to have a wide toe box, zero drop, and be comfortable for walking while still being cute. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Looking for the best credit union

I currently use Chase as my primary banking account but want to switch to a credit union with no monthly fees as I do not meet chase’s requirement for that (direct deposit = a certain amount). It doesn’t have to be a certain area since I live in Ohio and are planning on moving within the next year or so. Would love if they have a sign on bonus, HYSA (not required, but nice), and are partnered with banks nationally so I can withdraw at most ATMs, if need be.

Best local bank/credit union in the area

Looking for a new bank or credit union because I’m tired of gettin charged monthly fees with Chase! Where should I go? I’m leaning towards Day Air CU, but I’ve also heard that Wright Patt is good. Are there any others I should look into?

Edit: What about Capital One Banking? Or another online bank? I see they have no fees and have a bonus for opening a checking account.

Amount of naps

Trigger warning: baby that sleeps well (lol)

My 5 month old tends to nap a lot for his age (from what I’ve seen). If this doesn’t create overnight issues, and he still gets 10-12 hours of sleep with one dream feed when I go to bed, should I worry about it? His naps on a good day tend to total around 4-6 hours with each nap being around 1.5-2 hours.

Sore back

I exclusively breastfeed my 4.5 month old. I have been recently having pretty severe lower back pain that I think could be due to how I sit while nursing him. I usually sit in bed against the headboard with him laying on a boppy and my legs criss-crossed underneath it. I’ll often catch myself hunched over him while I’m feeding, so that could be the problem. It has been hurting to get up, sit down, and move more than a few steps at a time. Has anyone dealt with this? What did you do? Any recommendations? I know I definitely need to stretch daily, so any recs for people or videos for that would be great!

Dayton pride questions, tips, advice

I’m going to Dayton pride this weekend with some people and wondered if we should be planning to get there early before the parade. Also, where is a good place to park that’s free or inexpensive? Are there any must go places that usually do things for pride? Which vendors must we make a point to go to? I’m new to all of this, so any advice or tips are much appreciated!

Consistent wake time and bedtime

Is it okay if my (4.5 month old) baby has inconsistent wake times and bedtimes? He sleeps really well, so I haven’t been trying to change anything. At bedtime, I tend to go by his sleep cues. The time he goes to bed usually depends on how his naps went during the day, so it varies. It typically is anywhere from 7:30-8:30. His bedtime usually determines the time he wakes up in the morning, which ranges from 7-9 at the latest. His naps are also great. He gets about 1.5-2 hrs per nap, 3 naps a day.

TLDR: If he’s sleeping well and getting 10+ hours of sleep per night and 3 really good naps, do I need to worry about a consistent wake time and bedtime?

Trying to use canva to trim parts of the video and then put those sections together as one new video for an Instagram reel. I’ve been googling, and I can’t figure out how to do it!

Looking for some sandals

Does anyone have any sandals that they like that will last for a while and be comfy enough to not hurt after wearing them for a couple hours? Some that are good for flat feet too.
