I'd like to put up a fan meant to kill mosquitoes but I don't want it to disturb the monarchs who enjoy my milkweed.
I planted my milkweed in a divet in the yard where the previous owners had an above ground pool. To power the pool they had an underground power line installed in the yard. The line still works but my partner and I currently have it off. One outlet is about 4 feet to the south, the other is about 6 feet to the south east. I'm not sure how long of a cord the fan would have. Those are our only two outdoor outlets.
Would I be able to put up a large fan without disturbing the butterflies who eat the milkweed and the dragonflies who flutter around looking adorable?

Papers were received by the government May 26th. At the time I was confident but now I'm not. I provided a naturalization certificate from the 1880s saying my relatives immigrated from Canada. Given that my relative was born in the 1850s, I had trouble finding a baptismal record.

The tragic death of Daveigh Chase has me wondering about Britney's life would have been without the conservatorship. Despite having starred in several infamous films (Lilo & Stitch, The Ring, Spirited Away), Daveigh died after having spent years living in a tent on Skid Row. Her father said they hadn't spoken in over 15 years, her mother in a decade. Her manager says that she had millions in residuals which she didn't cash.
I have to wonder if Daveigh's life if what Britney didn't have the conservatorship and Britney's is what Daveigh would have had with one. Both came to Hollywood young, exploded into fame and had parents who were incredibly hands off to the point of not protecting their daughters from Hollywood. Daveigh had at least one encounter with P. Diddy during which she was invited to an after party. Both women struggled mental illness and substance abuse. One big difference between them is that Daveigh's films being animated or having her under heavy costuming gave her more privacy than Britney. I'm sure people wearing clothing or accessories with Stitch on them, trying to avoid looking at her as she laid passed out in a park.
I can't help but wonder if Britney would have died in a tent on Skid Row if she didn't have the conservatorship. Her father was able to prove that didn't touch her money and pulled her out of major debt. If she blows teh money she made selling her catalogue, she may still yet. I have my suspicions about what kind of barriers were put between Daveigh and her residuals. Maybe if anyone in Daveigh's life cared, she'd still be here.
I applied for nursing school in NY in December 2025 before bill C3 passed. I spent a few months getting verified copies of legal documents proving I am a direct descendant of a man born in Canada. I'm due to start nursing school in August. I'd love to move to Canada, help keep citizens healthy and pay taxes. How easily would my license transfer? Should I hold off on school until I can move to Canada?

I left Facebook before "grown ups" joined it. I used my parents to look up some things for a local business and fell into a rabbit hole snooping. So many of my former teachers (especially Jr High) are MAGA. That isn't the saddest part. One is in prison, he was caught raping a student. One took his own life, supposedly a relative came forward with proof of sexual abuse. Too many married former students.
Two that I really liked are retired and from everything I've seen are living their best lives.

I used to use AI for help writing emails that had no confidential information and were just corporate BS. Zosia talking about mango ice cream sounded very AI to me. The way she listed the other flavors and ended by restating her favorite was mango is what got me.
The real Zosia might have loved mango ice cream, but the hive was still answering.
I appreciate that show runners knew having a character be sympathetic to the ICE agents would break them in the eyes of the audience and knew that the best way to get "balance" would be to create a temporary character.
However, if they wanted to be brave either Princess, Perlah or Trinity could have told the other two in Tagalog "my family came legally, everyone should". I'm told it's not an uncommon viewpoint among Filipinos.
That said, fans would never root for that character again and a ratings rank would be risked. Thoughts?
Do you find that your fellow administrators and colleagues hold themselves to the same standards as they require of the students? All of the talk of schools using AI has me scared and frustrated for the future. When I volunteered at a local museum I saw a note ready to be mailed to a teacher reminding her that something she had borrowed was due back three weeks prior. When I expressed disappointment because the woman and her husband were both known for being strict, I was told it happened frequently.
I'm gobsmacked at how many of my former (now retired) teachers who lectured about morality and responsibility have Facebook pages full of praise and support for Trump, as well as images espousing masking as a matter of personal choice and freedom. One is a high ranking member of a church under scrutiny over sexual assault of parishioners.
Do you think your colleagues follow the rules and expectations they have for students?
We don't use the guest room for anything else. Should I wait until I'm about to have guests before washing the bedding? I would want them to sleep on something freshly washed so I would wash it the day before they were due to visit. It feels wasteful to wash it after they leave then wash it again before they arrive.
That wasn't Helly. Helly would have told him to escape. There was no way they could "bring down Luman" as innies. He especially had a chance at reintegration and could have told the world what was happening. She would have told him to the world their story.
