used to fish years ago - want to go back to float fishing - please advise on the system/setup piece that im missing here

hi all,

used to fish years ago (10-15+) and was/are a big fan of float fishing. thing is - completely forgot how to set up float fishing system and i am a bit embarrassed - looked into youtube guides and no one can clearly tell me whole system setup step by step neither names of pieces that i got to order.. english isnt my first language so this is getting even more confusing..

i got bottom fishing rod (some no name yet decent) and shimano spinning

i will try to convert these to float fishing rods;

disclaimer - i want this to work, dont want anything hardcore/fancy neither something very frugal and random DYI - please advise on system that would actually work and can be enjoyable for me and my dad

from my understanding - i will need to buy:

- nice and brand new line (old one been sitting in garage for years);

- hooks;

- weighs that i could add to the line;

- float;

now the part that i dont understand/forgot - what i am missing from the system? if i recall correctly - i would need extra line/some sort of harder line that is used to connect weighs/hooks and float, so fish wont just bite it easily

again, im embarrassed to ask this but could any kind person remind/explain what am i missing here?

one thing i recall was buying some tiny rubber "balls" or "stoppers" that would stop floater in the line and i could adjust the depth by moving them on lines up or down. maybe that is the only thing im missing + the actual stronger line that adjusts to then end of bait?

thank you,

£75k, what to do with my savings? Please advise – house deposit is current target – so low risk please

hello all,

32M – main goal – mortgage deposit – to save as much as possible

planning on saving to £100k chunk whilst I can before borrowing monies from the bank, so I cant put much into stocks and shares ISA etc..

my current monies are in Trading 212 Cash ISA which is 3.6% - yeah not the new user so don’t get additional 1%

where would you recommend I should store monies? I prefer ISAs as they are tax free but maybe not that many of them are available in terms of flexibility as savings accounts?

It is important for me to:

- have monthly interest

- I could withdraw monies without much penalties (because I try to add all my savings to maximise interest rate on monthly basis, so withdrawing for puchases or emergenices and getting this penalised isnt what im after, unless I should put aside some money and not touch this type of ISA for a whole year, but not sure if thats even better ROI)

how could I maximise this even better? should I keep money in Trading 212 cash ISA? it should generate around £200 +- a month based off monthly interest rates. I add around £1.5 - 2k a month to it from wages

or shall I buy premium bonds? Just want to keep risk and loss to minimal and gains to maximum without investing/risking as aiming to get as much deposit for my first house as possible

thank you for all help,

regards,

what would stop this from getting deformed over years and successfully recover? any advice? my current situation

hi everyone - 32M

noticed that over past few years that my toes, especially right one start to deform - i do not want to have massive deformation like my parents/grandparents do and was wondering if anyone could advice anything that could stop this from going on further?

- wear wider shoes?

- socks with separate toes sections?

- shoes with separate toes sections, like viva barefoot shoes?

- i've been wearing silicone toe separators with a sleeve on a big toe and it is the only one that lasts at least 3-4weeks and actually stabilises my toe and doesnt give that much discomfort whilst wearing shoes

i know it isnt SEVERE bunion - im trying to prevent it as my big toe joint starts to hurt sometimes as well

attaching some images of my current situation. thank you

using graphene OS and still getting “personalised” ads. How they did hear or read what I typed, what I said? instagram/reddit. My situation:

hello,

im still getting personalised ads, I noticed that on instagram and reddit

I don’t have apps, but web app extensions via vanadium

I also use whatsapp, but my microphone and camera are disabled. Permissions are only allowed when sending voice messages/video calls

few days ago I had phone in my pocket and spoke to my friend that I want to learn spanish. I got home and shortly after I said it, I got instagram and reddit ads on “spanish classes”

can someone explain to me what im doing wrong? Sorry if im being silly here.

I know that apps exchange data and probably sell information to each other to personalise ads and track me but I cant comprehend how they got that when reddit and instagram web apps don’t even have permissions – they are set up via vanadium - it got no mic or camera on permissions

I didn’t use whatsapp at that time, unless my mic was turned on and I left whatsapp run in the background? In that case it listened and sent that data to insta since they are both meta? But permission is only on while it is “in use”, is app working in the background counts as in use?

even if i typed that in whatsapp chat, how could that transfered to insta/reddit profiles? unless my whatsapp/insta/reddit accounts been linked long time ago before moving to graphene OS

but still, even if it is linked, how they managed to gather and extract that data what i said over the voice in person if it had no permissions?

Am I thinking right? Or there are other options?

Would be good to know

thank you

what type of creams I should use for my skincare routine including anti aging as main focus?

hello, 32 M here.

Im ashamed to say that I really didn’t use any creams in the past. I started to have few wrinkles in my forehead around 25 as I frown a lot and didn’t put attention to it! and especially around corner of my eyes and wondering if I can do something to make it disappear / age slower / look better in these areas of face

my current routine:

morning:

wash my face in the morning just with water with face cleanser;

apply Liz Earl extra rich moisturiser / Elizabeth Arden moisturiser

evening:

wash my face with water only;

apply night cream from Elizabeth Arden;

Could you kindly advise on decent brands/creams, with healthy and good ingredients for my skincare routine? And anti-aging as a main goal in particular? Anything to add/remove in terms of steps/overall process?

I think im quite balanced here but I could add some anti aging / wrinkle reducing retinol solution once a week? My skin is quite sensitive at times but used to be very problematic and oily and still have scars from acne on cheeks area, so maybe I should be careful about it

thank you
