baseball tournament

Big east baseball tournament starts today in Mason Ohio. St john's vs Creighton . Uconn vs Xavier all on espn+. Regular season was a three way tie at the top. St john's got the one seed. should be fun to watch. also the basketball portal closed last week . conn grabbed Hines from seton hall. St john's got Freeman from Syracuse. Georgetown lost a bunch of guys but added Lowe from Kentucky. Seton hall basically got a whole new team including Wilcher from Texas. Creighton took Erhunmwunse from providence, conference betrayal right there. anyway baseball today.

Matt Hardy is "The Damager" now and i don't know what to expect

just saw the promo from sacramento where matt hardy came out with a new look and called himself "The Damager" . no more broken gimmick, no more delete chants, something darker apparently. He had a contract in his hand and said he's building an army then he walked to the back without saying much else. feels like they're setting up a new faction or maybe just a fresh singles run. Slammiversary is in Boston, Moose vs Nemeth for the world title is the main event right now but the card also has ultimate x for the x division title and maybe a monster's ball match. wonder if "The Damager" fits into any of that or maybe he's just gonna wreck people in a hardcore match.

Beachvolleyball

man I tried to make a save this weekend and completely ate it. Dove way too early, face first into the sand then ball went right past me. my partner just stood there shaking his head the other team asked if i was okay while laughing. I was fine just covered in sand, got up and tried to play it off like i meant to do that, worst part is i had sand in my mouth for the rest of the match. also found sand in my ears later that night. Not my finest moment but gave everyone a good laugh.

my first black eye from water polo

man I got my first shiner last week. Elbow to the face while fighting for position, didn't even see it coming. Coach just said welcome to the club felt like a rite of passage honestly. The funny part was trying to explain it at work the next day, no one understands that elbows just happen in this sport. Kept getting asked if i was okay or if someone punched me. Just had to keep saying no its the game.

anyone else ever get confused by the other OHL

I was just scrolling and saw a headline about a soccer team called OHL thought it was a typo at first, turns out there's a Belgian club named OHL leuven they just beat Antwerp 3-0 in their Europe playoffs . I also found out the initials stand for Oud Heverlee Leuven which is a mouthful, not related to our ohl at all but every time i see the abbreviation my brain goes right to the hockey league first. Weird how acronyms work. anyone else ever get thrown off by this or just me. Catch live matches here https://sportsflux.live

my first 200

I've been bowling in a casual league for about a year now. Average sits around 160 most nights, last week everything just clicked, shot a 212, nothing crazy. no turkeys in the tenth or anything, just spare after spare and a few strikes mixed in. I didn't even realize i was close until the seventh frame when bro said something then i got nervous and almost blew it. pulled the last shot left and left a ten pin but made the spare. I feel like i won a tournament or something.

flipped my canoe

I've been canoeing for a while and finally flipped last weekend. watched videos on self rescue and they make it look easy, paddle float on one side, climb over the gunwale, slide back in. tried it for real and couldn't even get close. The canoe kept tipping over as soon as i put any weight on the side. My legs were flailing everywhere, ended up swimming the boat to shore. anyone have a technique that actually works for a normal person.

need advise

I don't know when this started but I can't stop reacting to fakes. Guy drops his level and my whole body jumps back like i got shocked, even when i know he's just faking. my feet move before my brain catches up, it's like a reflex i can't control. My training partner said to stare at his chest not his hips because hips lie less also heard that drilling defense with eyes closed helps you feel the real attack instead of reacting to every little twitch.

regional weekend was pure chaos

The super regional matchups . Oregon didn't even make it to their regional final. Texas a&m is out too but the biggest one was UFC taking out Florida State. number 9 overall seed gone in the first weekend . Ucla had a scare down 11-7 to Cal Baptist in the fifth and somehow walked it off in the seventh . Megan Grant broke the single season home run record too, 39th of the year, that's just silly. super regionals Alabama vs lSU should be good. Texas vs Arizona state. OU vs Mississippi state. Florida vs Texas tech .

the first time i flipped the boat

It finally happened been rowing for a few months and managed to stay dry until last week. I was in a single on a calm lake, took a stroke a little too deep and next thing i knew i was in the water. I didn't even have time to think just sploosh. The worst part wasn't even the cold water, it was trying to get back in, every time i tried to climb back over the gunwale the boat just rolled away from me. must have looked like a seal trying to get on a rock. after like five tries i just swam the boat to shore.

my backhand is useless

I've been playing for years and I still can't do anything with my backhand. Passes wobble, shots just float. I watch other guys whip it like it's nothing. Coach says to get my top hand out away from my body and roll my wrists but when the puck comes i just panic and shove it. Also not sure if i should be dropping my bottom hand at all or keeping them close. Some guys say to choke down, others say keep the hands together. i've tried both and neither feels right. anyone have a drill that actually made your backhand click. also do you look at the puck or the net when you shoot.

hitting the ball into the floor on hard drives

When I'm just rallying I keep the ball low just fine but as soon as i try to put some mustard on it I drive the ball straight into the floor. Sometimes it hits before the serve line sometimes it hits the front wall first but then bounces twice before my opponent can get it. Either way it's a bad shot. Guys tell me to make contact when the ball is lower and to stay down through the shot but when I'm swinging hard i tend to pull up. Also heard that keeping your eye on the ball longer helps but i always peek to see where I'm hitting it.

same teams running away with it again

feels like the same three teams are at the top every year. Big spenders get all the good players. Smaller clubs just try to survive. The final four feels decided before Christmas. i get that the quality is great but it gets boring. Remember when anyone could make a cup run. Now it's just the same names every season.

last day is gonna be chaos

Milan and Roma are tied on points. Como and Juve right behind them. Juve lost at home to Fiorentina which is just bad. Roma won the derby with two headers from the same guy. Milan squeezed past Genoa with a late rocket. Como is just hanging around waiting for someone to slip. last day is gonna be wild. View upcoming events from https://sportsflux.live

the food fight was kind of fun

I wasn't sure what to expect with a name like food fight but that wwr+ show at the worcester public market was a good time. No idea if there was actual food involved or if it's just a name but the crowd seemed into it. Laynie Luck and Allie Katch vs Sammi Chaos and Amity Levay was probably the match of the night. Amira beating Notorious Mimi was nice to see. Mimi has that wwe id buzz but Amira is just as good. Kylie Alexa going after Shannon Lavangie's jaw was cold. Lavangie just came back from that surgery too. Gabby forza finishing Valentina with a spear and jackhammer in the main event was a strong ending, not a perfect show but a fun one.

did not see that coming

I watched the may 14 impact and my head is still spinning. Cedric Alexander beat Leon Slater to win the x division title. Slater was literally two weeks away from breaking the record for longest reign, that's rough then Fabian Aichner shows up after the bell and just points at the belt. Guess they're planting seeds for slammiversary already. Willow returned. Jeff Hardy in the face paint again. happened during the sacramento tapings and nobody saw it coming the crowd popped hard. Kinda wild how much happened in one episode. TNA feels like they're actually building toward something, just hope they don't drop these stories before the payoff.

falling as an adult hits different

I watched a kid eat it hard yesterday and just bounced right back up like nothing happened. I tripped over a rut last week and my hip hurt for three days, took me like a full minute to get back on my feet. My friend who plays hockey said adults fall harder because we're heavier and slower to react also our bones aren't as bendy anymore. It makes sense but still annoying.

one more win

man i was sweating during game 5. Habs go down 3-2 early and Dobes lets in three straight. I'm thinking here we go again then the dude just flips a switch, stops 32 in a row. just insane. Suzuki had a goal and two helpers. Demidov got his first playoff goal. Hutson is just different, kid had two more assists. Carolina is sitting there waiting, swept both series. haven't lost a game yet that's scary but first we gotta close this one out. Bell centre is gonna be loud tomorrow night.

Castle just passed Luka for a record

watching the spurs close out the wolves and stephon castle just went off, 32 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and he made his first five threes. Dude is 21 and just passed Luka for youngest player ever with that stat line in a playoff game. The wolves looked defeated all night. Edwards tried with 24 but shot 9 for 26. Gobert had zero points in 22 minutes . That's rough. Spurs are heading to the conference finals for the first time since 2017 they face okc

expanding again or not? I'm confused

I've been following the pac-12 rebuild and i can't figure out what's happening with expansion. A few weeks ago Oregon state's ad said they want to add at least two more schools quickly, made it sound like things were moving but now I'm seeing reports that Washington state and Colorado state are hinting they might just stay at eight football schools, something about not wanting to add anyone who doesn't bring value and they don't see good options right now . The new logo about "open seats at the table" made everyone think expansion was coming but now Im not sure

.
