[Weekly Megathread] Guild Recruitment / Looking for Guild!
Hey everyone! If you're recruiting for your guild or looking to join a guild, please utilize this thread. This is now a weekly thread to account for any changes to GB dates, and as guild recruitment numbers are dramatically down, this also gives guilds more chances to recruit.
Each guild is allowed one post per megathread. Posting more than once will result in all posts being removed.
For guilds recruiting members, please follow the below format. If you are on mobile, you can copy and paste this from the stickied comment in this thread:
- Guild name:
- Guild ID:
- Approval Process:
- Members (how many ?/30):
- Focus:
- Required Power/Requirements:
- Placement in the last Guild Battle:
- Introduction to your guild:
For players looking for a guild, please do one of the following:
- Reply directly to a guild you're interested in.
- Write a comment with information about your account, including power level, how to contact you, and anything you might want to share about your play style.
---
If posting on PC, you can use the formatting tools to match the above.
If you're posting from mobile, here are some formatting tips:
- Two spaces after each line will create line breaks. This will make each section its own line instead of a wall of text, and will prevent you from having to put two big gaps between each line.
- If you put "- " (slash and space) before each line, it'll automatically make that those lines bulleted.
TIL that in the music video for "I Feel Like Dancing" by Jason Mraz, they play Cards Against Humanity. Wrong. It's otherwise a certified bop.
It's been a wonderful run, Best Guess Live. Thank you Hunter, Howie, and all of the BGL team!
reddit.comMatPat is gonna be a contestant on the Taskmaster charity stream
Saturday, September 5th, 5pm BST. This should be great.

My custom tokens
*(Six images in this post in reverse order of creation.)*
I'm working on a massive set of tokens. I started about in the middle of June and I'm now up to 54 tokens which is enough to nearly 6 full pages. My idea pool is running thin, and now that I have 54 of them, I officially have a "full" deck (52 playing cards + 2 jokers) so I'm going to print them for myself. I do intend to keep going though, so if there are any tokens you're like to see, please let me know! Anything that can be produced by a card effect is fair game, whether it's commonly used or not, officially available or not.
**These are completely free to print out for yourself for personal use. Please enjoy!** I also have an [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/rpgsdoodles/) if you just want to follow along, and a [Ko-Fi](https://ko-fi.com/robplayingames/) account if like what I'm doing and want to grab me a drink :). The Ko-Fi account has the high res individual images to download if you want to print them - again, completely free.
For those curious about the idea behind these: They're inspired by the crappy doodles you may have done in your notebook when you were a kid. Every single card has the "Cool S" as a unifying factor. If the card has a color identity, that S is colored in that identity. Most of them have references peppered in - some subtle, some much less so.
Got a video of of my sister's chickens (safe in a coop) being startled by a hawk grabbing a small bird outside of the coop. r/funnyandsad is gone.
Any appropriate sub for this? Doesn't seem hard enough for r/natureismetal
Just gonna put this out there: Do MinuteCryptic every day and you'll pick up these kinds of word clues quick. 🥳🥳🥳
u/TheUncleBob's pick 2 folder idea visualized and expanded.
u/TheUncleBob thought of a two-sided card folder for "Pick Two" rounds. Read from left to right. We can take it a step further with a tri-fold.
This can function for pick 2 rounds and pick 3 rounds. It eliminates the confusion over which order they should be read, it prevents them from being mixed up when handed to the card Czar, and it wouldn't take much space. Just don't use the 3rd slot for Pick 2.
CAH could sell these as a 5 or 10 pack which would cover most groups and if you need more you can just order more than one. DIYing these would also be incredibly easy.
u/TheUncleBob, this was a brilliant idea that I'm totally going to use for my group.
If you live in NY and want to waste your money, all of these personalized license plates are available. (Everything except 1, 4, 7, 8, 14).
Just figured I'd share that information.
None of the numerical versions (FF7, etc) are available, but nearly all of the roman numeral ones are.
Edit: Someone I know grabbed FFX, sorry folks.
Safe area / Cut Area
Good afternoon all. I'm trying to wrap my head around around Safe Area and Cut Area on tokens I've been working on. I've been following this guide but accidentally used the sizing for 2.5 x 3.5 for my Safe and Cut areas, and used the correct sizing for the overall image which is 63x88mm.
Because I did that, I need to adjust all of my cards by a few pixels to put the edges back within the cut area, which isn't a big deal. What's more of a big deal is if I have to put everything within the "safe" area, which is a decent amount smaller. For some of my cards, I don't think I can do this without re-drawing the whole thing.
Is the "safe" area really just for when you're printing in bulk, in case the machine cuts it wrong? If you're doing small batches on your own or individual cuts, should the "cut" area be good enough? I.e., the safe area is more for printing services that you don't really have control over?
The bait and switch for M&Ms vs Skittles was cruuuuuel
"Succinct Cover Letter" - M&Ms on the package.
"Has a richer celebrity look alike" - Eminem
"Won't get the blues" - blue wasn't in the original lineup
