I would tell my dad to buy Intel stock.... Hold it until early January 2000. Sell. Wait until 2002, then load up all the gains on Apple. Hold Apple until 2015, then sell and invest everything into Nvidia. The exact timing doesn't matter except for Intel and the Apple buy. Because I was a genius, I am sure he would have listened to me.

As long as Apple lets Geekbench know how to optimize the next Geekbench version before each release?

At this point, Geekbench needs to show us how they code cross platform benchmarks and whether they are coding to enable Apple specific accelerators.

Any cross platform Geekbench scores now get "Possible Fake News Warning". They really seem to have embarassed themselves writing custom benchmarks just for Apple products.
