Clomiphene and Testosterone After Stopping

My testosterone level is around 600. My doctor initially did not want to prescribe clomiphene, but I kept requesting it because I wanted to try it for a rare condition that I can’t mention here because it’s debatable and not well proven.

I asked my doctor whether we could try clomiphene for 3 months just to see whether it helps. After discussing it repeatedly, my doctor finally agreed and prescribed it.

Now I’m worried about what happens after those 3 months.

If I take clomiphene for 3 months and then stop, will my testosterone eventually return to my natural level of around 600, or could it go below my previous natural level?

Also, what are the possible side effects of clomiphene, especially when used for 3 months?

I’d really appreciate experiences or medically informed opinions from people who have used clomiphene.

How to choose the right psychologist?

How do you choose the right psychologist for a complex, long-term problem?

What should I check—qualifications, specialization, actual experience, research/publications, treatment approach, and registration?

Also, what common mistakes should I avoid when choosing one?

Looking for Amit Kumar – GEBBS, Airoli (around 2018)

I’m looking for a person named Amit Kumar. We worked together at GEBBS in Airoli, Navi Mumbai, around 2018.

At that time, he was in his early 30s, used to live in Mulund, near Wagle Estate, and was bald/had very little hair.

I’ve lost his contact number and really need to get in touch with him. If anyone knows him or can help me reconnect with him, please DM me.

If you have his Instagram ID, please share it with me privately. Thank you!

What should a psychologist do when they encounter a case they’ve never seen before?

I have a complex psychological problem, but I don’t want to share the details here.

I first went to a government hospital, took the psychiatrist’s medicines, but they didn’t help. I also had 4 psychologist sessions, which didn’t help either. The hospital psychologist told me they can provide only 4 sessions. The psychiatrist also told me not to waste time and money on psychologists because they wouldn’t help with my problem.

I then saw a private psychologist because their fees were affordable. After hearing my problem, they said, “I’ve never seen a problem like this. I don’t know how many sessions it will take, and I’m not sure whether it can be solved.”

This left me confused.

For psychologists: If a client comes to you with a problem you’ve never encountered before, what do you normally do? Do you learn/research about it and try to help, or refer the client to someone with relevant experience?

I want to see another psychologist, but experienced psychologists are expensive and I can’t afford many sessions. At the same time, I’m worried that an affordable but less-experienced psychologist may also say they’ve never seen such a case.

The government hospital isn’t an option because they limit therapy to 4 sessions.

What should I do? How can I find someone with relevant experience without spending money on multiple psychologists just to find out whether they can help?

Can NIMHANS provide me on-call therapy with a clinical psychologist for free? I’m a bit confused

I’m trying to understand whether NIMHANS can provide ongoing therapy sessions with a clinical psychologist over the phone/teleconsultation, preferably for free.

I found information saying NIMHANS supports tele-psychotherapy, but I’m confused about whether I can directly call and start regular sessions or if I need an assessment/appointment first.

Has anyone actually used NIMHANS tele-psychotherapy with a clinical psychologist? What is the current process?

Is it possible for a psychologist to be booked until October?

Is it possible for a psychologist to be booked until October?

I messaged a psychologist explaining the specialization I’m looking for, and they said they’re busy until October.

Is it really possible to be booked that far in advance? They seem to match exactly what I’m looking for, so I’m wondering whether I should wait or search for someone else.

I’ve already seen two psychologists who couldn’t help me, so I don’t want to waste more time. I’m also worried that if I message again in October, they might still be unavailable and give me another month.

What do you recommend—should I wait or look for someone else?

Need advice about finding an affordable psychologist and whether NIMHANS follow-up can be online

A little background about me: I’ve tried many psychologists, but unfortunately no one has been able to help me so far. I also tried several psychiatric medications because my doctor thought they might indirectly help me, but they didn’t help at all. I’ve spent most of my money on treatment and I don’t have much left now.

I don’t want to waste more time. I want to get this psychology problem under control so I can move forward with my life. Once I’m able to overcome/manage this problem, I want to focus on my education and prepare for government jobs. I really don’t want to lose more years because of this.

My first question: I found a psychologist near me who is a PhD topper from NIMHANS, and honestly, I feel this may be my last hope. However, the fee is showing as ₹5,000 per session. Is it possible for a psychologist to reduce the fee in cases like mine? If yes, how should I respectfully approach them and ask for a concession?

Even if the fee is reduced, I may need to first find a job and earn money to continue therapy. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

My second question: Since I currently don’t have a job, I’m also considering going to NIMHANS Bangalore for an initial assessment/session. If I travel there for the first session and then continue the follow-ups through phone/online consultations, would that be reasonably effective, or is it much better to attend every session in person?

I’d really appreciate advice from people who have experience with NIMHANS or long-term psychological therapy.

What is the most complex case you have handled and successfully treated?

For psychologists/therapists here: what was the most complex or challenging case you have worked with that eventually showed significant improvement or recovery?

You don't need to share any identifying details. I'm mainly curious about:

What made the case particularly difficult?

How long did treatment take?

What approach or therapy helped the most?

What was the outcome?

Would be interesting to hear about real-world experiences from Indian psychologists/therapists.

QEEG is too expensive. Any alternatives?

I'm unable to afford a QEEG, but I can get a standard EEG done for free.

Is it possible to convert a regular EEG into a QEEG later if the raw EEG data is available? Or is that not how it works?

I'd appreciate any advice or experiences.

How immediately did you give a urine sample after a prostate massage?

For those who had a prostate massage (EPS/4-glass or 2-glass test), did you give the urine sample immediately afterward?

If yes, how immediately? Within a few seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, or longer?

What did your doctor recommend regarding the timing?

I'm trying to understand what timing gives the most accurate results.

Anyone got Guanfacine ER in India or managed to import it?

I'm looking for Guanfacine ER (extended-release) in India. Last time I asked, quite a few people mentioned that they had managed to import it.

If you've been able to get it:

Which pharmacy or importer did you use?

Was a prescription required?

How long did shipping take?

Approximately how much did it cost?

Any issues with Indian customs?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience. Thanks!

I'm curious about people's experiences with atomoxetine and urinary retention.

If you experienced urinary retention, how old are you, and did you have any pre-existing urinary problems (such as an enlarged prostate, overactive bladder, urethral issues, etc.)?

If you didn't experience urinary retention, please share your age and whether you had any urinary conditions before starting atomoxetine.

I'm trying to understand why some people develop this side effect while others don't. Is it mainly related to age, pre-existing urinary conditions, dosage, sex, or something else?

I'd appreciate hearing about your personal experience.

Security job agency asked me to pay ₹3,000 upfront for a uniform. Should I pay or is this a red flag?

I recently went to a security job agency, and they told me I need to pay ₹3,000 in advance for the uniform before they can place me in a job.

I'm not sure if this is a normal practice or a red flag. Should I pay or avoid it? What steps should I take to verify if the agency is legitimate before paying? Are there any documents, receipts, or checks I should ask for? Has anyone here had a similar experience?

I'd really appreciate any advice on how to avoid getting scammed.

Urine sample after prostate massage: initial stream or midstream?

My doctor asked me to give a urine sample for bacterial infection after a prostate massage. Should I collect the initial urine (first part of the stream) or a midstream urine sample after the massage?

If you've had this test done or know the standard procedure, I'd appreciate your advice.
