I have 2 boxes of frozen meals someone donated i have no room for them on freezer come take what you want the woman said they are only good for about 2 hours outside i also have a lot of brand new clothes outside and girls clothes
I am running the Maspeth/Ridgewood Mutual Aid Table. We are always looking for donations new or gently used. Please share with all of your contacts. There are a lot of people in need on the Maspeth/Ridgewood border. Most donations do not last long on the table. Thank you to everyone who has donated.
Some of the people who I help with my table. A woman who comes looking for clothes when she can't afford to go to the laundromat. A social worker who looks for food on my table when the insurance companies delay her payments. She is also a vegan, and she can't afford to go to CTown all the time for fruits and vegetables. I am also getting a lot of grandmothers who are helping to raise their grandchildren looking for baby and young children's items. I also get kids coming and going to PS 153 and PS 290 look on my tables for toys and snacks. Their parents look at the food and clothes on the table and take what they need. A few people come looking for food and things they need on my table who have health issues and can't make ends meet and have no family to help them.

CLOTHES
TOILETRIES
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
DIAPERS FOR BABIES & ADULTS
TOYS
BACK PACKS, LUNCH BOXES & POCKET BOOKS
Books really don't go on my table, so when I get a donation of them I wait a few days then I bring them down to the Little Free Library in PS 153's school yard.
Donations can be dropped off, and you can take what you need 24 hours a day & 7 days a week:

I am flabbergasted tonight. I was doing something for my mutual aid table, and I was looking up the NYS Senators, and I did not see mine Gianaris. I typed in my address in the Find My Senator tab and it says that seat is vacant. I asked a few people what happened to Gianaris and Raga who ran for his seat in June replied that he resigned on August 7th. NY 1 reported it. I get the local papers and none of them had it on the front page. I just looked through the August 13th issue of the Queens Chronicle they had nothing about it inside either. We won't have a State Senator until January 1st when whoever wins the November election.
My sister went to Dollar Tree on Metropolitan Ave in Middle Village yesterday. She wanted to get some bunches of artificial flowers to keep for when we go visit the graves. Dollar Tree wants $5 now for a bunch of flowers that used to cost $1.25. Dollar General on Myrtle Ave in Glendale same price. Where can I get nice bunches of artificial flowers for under $5?
