Western & Atlantic Railroad #49 "Texas" is a 4-4-0 "American" type steam locomotive built in 1856 for the Western & Atlantic Railroad by Danforth, Cooke & Co., best known as the principal pursuit engine in the Great Locomotive Chase, chasing the General after the latter was stolen by Unionsaboteurs in an attempt to ruin the Confederate rail system during the American Civil War. The locomotive is preserved at the Atlanta History Center.
She loves to sit on top of the 8ft fence and scan the neighborhood. Does anyone else’s Calico do this?! ❤️

Has anyone experienced this before? Ive had this plant for about 4 years growing in the same location. It survives winters in zone 7b each year coming back bigger and with more flowers. This year I noticed this yellow bloom with pink pedals. The same plant normally produces pinkish blooms (as seen in picture 3). I’ve never had this happen before. Any one else’s plants mutate in such a manner? Absolutely stunning IMO! 🤩

Sonoma County’s Charles M. Schulz Airport in Santa Rosa could well be the fastest-growing airport in Northern California since Southwest Airlines started flying there this spring, and more service just keeps on coming. Southwest’s initial operation at the airport includes flights to Burbank, San Diego, Las Vegas and Denver — although the Denver schedule offers only one flight a week, on Saturdays, greatly reducing the possibilities for connecting to Southwest’s many flights there. But that’s about to change. The North Bay Business Journal reported this week that Southwest told airport officials it plans to boost Santa Rosa-Denver service to five flights a week next month and then to daily service starting March 11.
That’s just part of the expanded service at Santa Rosa. The airport’s largest operator, Alaska Airlines, plans to introduce new routes there in November to Phoenix, Salt Lake City and Boise. And Delta is set to jump on the Santa Rosa bandwagon Oct. 6, launching twice-daily Delta Connection/SkyWest service to its big Salt Lake City hub. According to the North Bay Business Journal, passenger numbers at the airport in June hit 92,759, a gain of 24.5% from the same month a year ago, and airport officials said the 12-month total should reach 950,000 to 1 million by year’s end. That’s up from 780,000 in 2025.”
