Can I use a quote from Tolkien as an epigraph at the start of my book?
I was going to use the "Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement, for even the very wise cannot see all ends." quote from Gandalf, because that sums up the theme of my book.
Also, the girl who I'm dedicating my book to LOVES Tolkien.
Does this legally fall under fair use?
