It's not just bike lanes... the suburbanites are also asking the court to hold DOT in contempt for... *checks notes* installing daylighting. They hate everyone. They hate you, pedestrians, and just the general idea of safety
This isn't one route necessarily, but the LIRR shutdown morning rush has produced a solid wall of cars for about 65 miles around the city. Proof once again... the people that benefit the MOST from bike lanes and transit are DRIVERS.
If nothing else, NYC may get another graphic reminder that cars don't scale out of this LIRR strike. There's currently a 23 mile traffic jam building as rush hour beings...
People are going to clown on this, but I went out to Long Island yesterday and the only thing stopping me from riding my ebike was the fact that drivers would kill me... not distance.
