This shit so fucking dumb lol, I don’t mind playing D, I don’t mind that upsets can happen, but im quite literally the best team in the country. They’re scoring in four/five plays every single time. What the fuck is actually wrong with this game?

Personally I’m a ‘not too bad’man myself. Wondering what everyone else usually goes for as their generic reply?

What’s the move for everyone? I’m a Jets fan so personally excited to boo Belichick and hopefully see him lose (although obviously I want a good game), but no idea what to do on the day itself.

All the ‘tailgating’ pubs are in Temple Bar and I’ve got absolutely zero desire to pay €10 for a watered down pint, but I also want to be amongst the craic so I’m not sure what to do. Might just sink a few cans and sip a pint to be in the crowd, although I do find sipping pints a difficult challenge.

I posted on the Tar Heels subreddit and a fella from the Dublin Rebels was saying there’s a tailgating event on in the Sandymount Hotel i want to say? Can’t remember, but if you’re in this thread feel free to mention where it’s at!

But yeah, any craic? I’m proper looking forward to it, never been to the Dublin game before but I have been to college games in the states before. I do think there’s a good chance TCU absolutely batter them though.

Any predictions too? I reckon ultimately TCU handle them easy enough, 38-21 im saying.

What a complete non-issue. I assumed from the comments and posts on this subreddit that Eric went complete dickhead mode and Andrew was saying the most ridiculous shit ever. Genuinely what is wrong with you all? What’s with ALL the posts about this? It was the most innocuous, whatever conversation ever. They have this conversation 40 times a week, why the fuck are you all freaking out about this?

Eric was fine, Andrew was fine, Nick/Gavin/Geoff were fine. Why are you all so unbelievably dramatic about this? The comments on the posts are making it sounds like Andrew basically said alt-right level material.

The cast also basically didn’t react, it was so unbelievably innocuous and just a normal, regulation conversation. This subreddit sucks.

I have my issues with Eric and how he conducts himself in the pod at times, but the top post on the sub right now is ‘Eric lost his temper in a way i always wanted to’

Yeah the timing meter exists, but that’s pure cheese and also doesn’t work a lot. As far as the actual separation goes and how receivers get open, I’ve never seen a football game that has less receivers get open.

I’ve played football games since 2003, and Madden has always deeply opposed the deep ball, but this year’s CFB feels like it’s impossible to throw deep unless you green the catch meter. I want separation, I want my 99 speed WR to beat his defender in man. But they fucking stick to them, every single time. I play on Heisman, I’ve got my sliders going, everything else feels okay but the deep ball. I just cannot throw the ball unless I green the catch meter. But every single deep throw shouldn’t be contested.

It’s like they looked at CFB 25 when you could abuse verts and said ‘Let’s never ever let that happen again’. Last year felt really balanced on me for deep balls, this year I’m relying on crossing routes, slants and outs more than ever.

My WR1 is basically always covered too. Unless I can scheme against the D, my WR1 is never beating the man by himself. I can beat zones no problem, but the AI feels so OP in man.

Watched District 9 and Children of Men over the last two nights, two absolutely unbelievable movies with fantastic world building that feel alive, but also feel so realistic that the premises seem entirely realistic.

Are there any movies along the same vein? Anything with that terrific world building or even just some dystopian that feels like it could happen?

Edit: Starship Troopers is another example along those lines, another fantastic movie.
