Halo project ekur cancelled leaks

- After making a few recent project ekur leak videos that were getting buzz online, 3 halo studios current devs reached out to Rebs just a few days back and confirmed that project Ekur is now cancelled.

- The Devs revealed that Ekur was 100% real and was actively worked on til summer of 2025. It's development stalled after the ce remake was running into some development issues, and a large portion of the Ekur team were forced to move across to ce to help.

- It's unknown whether it was cancelled cause most Devs moved to ce, or that they just happened to change plans for future games and Ekur was cancelled.

- This doesn't mean there aren't still multiplayer projects being built. Expect late this year to have a reveal for the next mp game.

- This next part is rebs own speculation: He thinks now that the next mp game will be a more classic Halo game.

Leaks on Halo and Halo Studios going forward

This is from some posts from Idle Sloth's X account. He just reiterates some leaks from a day or two ago from a reputable source's X account(that source is banned here idk why, their track record is incredibly accurate).

- Some studios are shutting down to move more funding to some major Xbox ip's including Halo.

- Xbox is evaluating how halo studios is run. They aren't being shut down but Xbox is putting more money and focus into this studio to "fix Halo".

- There will be a lot of outsourcing Halo games to other studios, Halo studios will be more of an overseer than the main developer. Ce remake is an example of this. Abstraction studios have built the ce remake.

- Potential involvement from Call of Duty studios to build Halo games. Whether treyarch or infinity Ward do end up making Halo games or not, it's already confirmed that other studios will, example being the ce remake.

- Halo studios will be consistently evaluated.

- Clear push to have more Halo games coming out much more often.

Halo MMO leak in the vein of Destiny

Tldr: That one random leak by u/HTD_Blog on this subreddit a few weeks back isn't the only source that has either leaked or heard rumblings of this halo MMO. Technical Halo has heard some things but apart from it being an early prototype, he has nothing really else to report.

-----------------------------------

The post comes from Technical Halo, a reliable leaker who has also leaked info about the project Ekur standalone Halo game and other things. He says he has heard some rumblings of a Halo MMOFPS similar in nature to destiny that is in early prototype stages.

He has said nothing else regarding details of the game. He also referenced a post here a few weeks back about some alleged Dev who has insider info on the MMO. That Dev who leaked that info also claimed sea of thieves android release is in early 2027. Technical Halo has stated that if that does happen it will give a strong reliability to the devs insider claims.

Essentially, technical Halo has heard some rumours, nothing super clear and concrete. It shouldn't be treated yet like the project Ekur leaks which have been 100% confirmed as the next Halo mp game. If this sea of thieves leak comes true next year early 2027, it will give that Halo MMO leak a lot more credence.

Christian apologists pretend to act like they view the Bible through a historical lens and methodology until it comes to actually analysing it like a scholar or historian would do for any other historical text. Then they just ignore the facts after the evidence is against them.

This can also be applied to just about any religion but we'll discuss Christian apologetics because that's what I'm most familiar with.

I won't go on and on here I'll keep it brief.

Apologists pretend that they are viewing the gospels, the epistles, and in general, the Bible overall through a historical lens. They'll mention all these papyri found, mention these dates they were written, etc. but when actually pressed with clear scholarship and historical evidence about various topics, they'll then just completely ignore and dismiss it.

Essentially, they'll cherry pick certain data points that fit their belief but when shown evidence on the contrary, they just dismiss it.

I'll give some examples, beginning with Paul's epistles. It's concencus by scholars and historians(yes there are some people who refute, primarily conservative Christian scholars) that roughly half of Paul's epistles weren't even written by Paul. When presented with data from a vast array of scholars who go into methodology and evidence as to why this is believed, such as Paul contradicting himself between books, and much more, instead of analysing this with no bias and looking into it, almost all Christians will just dismiss it. Instead of looking into this dilemma, they'll try to make any reason up to justify their belief.

Another clear example of this is for people familiar with Sam Shamoun. A while ago he made some video on a supposed letter that King Abgar received from Jesus. This letter has been proven to be a complete fraud, he even mentioned how all scholars and historians say its fake. But instead of trying to provide any evidence for it being true, he just copes and says "of course they say its fake they just don't want Christianity to be true". Here, we have clear evidence that Sam and apologists in general try to play the "I'm using the evidence" card until the evidence actually shows it's not true, then they just dismiss it.

Rebs Gaming follow up video to the project Ekur leaks

- Confirms the "super big team warfare" mode

- says halo studios have worked on this longer than CE remake, back to 2023 after taking over from certain affinity who made the prototype

- says they will almost certainly reveal this at halo fest 2026 and expects a 2027 release

- only thing he can't say for sure is whether Ekur is a mode within "halo 7" or a standalone mp game

- supposedly it has a live service model

Is this game just completely cooked now after the layoffs?

Bungie losing over 55% of their staff, and whole cinematic team is gone. This just makes it even harder for Marathon.

Any reputable leaks/rumours of a supposed Halo MMO?

Seen some bumbling of a Halo MMO in very early prototyping stage. Some leaker, I can't remember the name who has a fairly strong track record claiming there was some very very early development of a prototype. Is this straight bs? Haven't really seen anything else.

I have a feeling this guy is gonna beat max

Logically, it makes no sense, he's been out of the game for half a decade, hitting the slopes all year round for years, yet I somehow think that crack head energy will prevail.

Got perma banned for asking someone on the marathon sub if they're having a blast. What has the world come to, can't even ask a fellow blast haver if they are having a blast.

Review of the Halo 5 campaign(just beat it for the first time)

I have read the lore and story for 5 before so I did know what happened in the game before playing.

This game is odd, it doesn't really pick up much from 4, and now after playing it, it doesn't really have anything to do with Halo infinite. It's a trilogy with 0 correlation between games. It's been spoken to death, I won't bother going on and on about that.

Nothing is really explained how we got here or why things are happening between 4 and 5. Like why is Buck a Spartan? I get it's probably explained in a book but we never see how, he's just randomly a Spartan now. This problem infects basically every plot point of the game, why is this happening at all? How did we get to this point in halo 5 after 4? It feels like there's a game missing between 4 and 5.

Pros: Honestly, not much I can say here.

- It was cool seeing the arbiter

- locke actually could have been cool but they really didn't introduce him well at all if he was meant to be the new face or at least become a major character.

- Cortana turning evil isn't necessarily inherently a bad idea, it's just done poorly and then we know in infinite that it's basically unimportant until the end where it's lightly referenced.

Cons: - chief is barely in it

- the "hunt the truth" promo for this is basically false advertising and would have been a much cooler story

- I absolutely hate the art style of 4 and 5, it's extremely over designed but simultaneously very generic sci fi

- the elites and almost all the covenant look horrendous

- Prometheans are a trash faction, and are so boring to fight

- the music is really uninspired and there's not one theme I can remember

- having to kill the warden eternal 7 or whatever amount of times was so boring. I get that he's in many bodies but it's just boring and repetitive

- the Cortana sad moment at the end where she's about to cry after she has chief in that freeze thing, just doesn't land because the story telling up to that point is so bad. It's meant to be a sad moment but it's just not, you don't care at all

- having no introduction to the blue and Osiris teams with all these new characters is poor story telling imo, we should have had a little intro to them in 4 for us to care about them. They really serve no purpose to the plot, especially when they do absolutely nothing to help U in the campaign missions. They just walk around and barely shoot.

- no missions really stand out, there's no missions that I want to replay just for cool moments and scenes.

Could go on but that's what quickly comes to mind after just finishing it.

Feels more like really bad fan fiction than a genuine game.

Score: 2/10

Were the forerunners originally hinted to be human? At least pre 343 lore.

This isn't a shit on 343 post. Just within the bungie only lore, I know 343 guilty spark says that chief is a forerunner and there were some other hints in lore that humans were forerunners. Is this actually confirmed? Or was it ambiguous?
