It's pretty interesting that the weird route and the normal route Noelle are the same person in different conditions.

The normal route is about healthy coping mechanisms vs very unhealthy ones. It's written as she was in a bad state of mind, potentially suicidal thoughts, normal route helping and uplifting her, while Weird route feeds into her ̶ ̶T̶R̶U̶T̶H̶ delusions.

Weird route is just Noelle being enabled to do the impossible, things she wouldn't dare to do normally because of social pressure and cowardliness, being Noelle doing Noelle things. Same person, same insecurities, same buried anger, just one route gives her a lifeline and the other gives her permission, to grow wings and #####.

Honestly, I find it crueler to subject Noelle in the normal route not realizing she's an NPC enslaved to the prophecy than in the weird route... The theory is that she was actually supposed to be a protagonist beside Kris in chapter 1 but Susie came too late to class and had been told to get chalk when Noelle was supposed to go, then we followed.

So in the normal route she's just sidelined, given comfort but not agency. The Weird route at least treats her like she matters, even if it's in the worst way possible... hehehe...

I had to play my Pacifist Save File first for the weird route to see the Festival differences to feel impactful and now my hatred for Susie knows NO bounds.

I witnessed Noelle's true potential. I unlocked her power. I watched her descend into the depths, beyond all rules, beyond the game itself.

Then I returned to the pacifist route. And I was condemned to watch Susie wade through ankle-deep water with MY doe in her arms. Safe. Predictable. Undeserved. Noelle blushing at that lizard like she hung the stars.

She snatched MY childhood friend. She sabotaged MY connections with Ralsei, Berdly, Mew Mew. She ruined MY date. She took MY father figure, MY secret world, MY everything, then left ME to walk home alone after spitting in MY face.

SHE TOOK IT ALL. LEFT ME WITH ASHES AND A BURNING INFERNO OF JEALOUSY.

If it weren't for them in the weird route, we wouldn't have been able to bypass the game boundary with Noelle because I suspect Onionsan was a way to prevent you from going any further into the river but NormalNPC with the assist preventing that Onion-bitch by sliming them out and even turned them into takoyaki. ❤️
