You see Kris, I just know Noelle is still yearning for power, I didn't do the violence route so I could get ALL recruits besides the weird route victims and gather them all in ONE PLACE for Noelle to GRIND and BECOME STRONGER.
What would be crazy is that this could be the third mysterious route we've all been waiting for, we finally get the twisted sword and equip it on Kris or Noelle, what's interesting is that it LOWERS TRANCE(+16, Trance Down) which is the opposite effect of Trance Up which made Noelle easier to control, like will it reduce our control over Kris or will it make Noelle who finds out everything was real turn batshit insane if you equip the Twisted Sword? I'm just speculating.
As for keeping the Thorn Ring, you'd have to abort the Chapter 2 Weird Route to hang onto it. But since there are aborted versions in Chapter 4 and probably Chapter 5 (if you fail to cross the lake), maybe Noelle will join our party again in Chapter 6 just so we can temporarily unequip the ring? to craft the sword.
Honestly, I'm just coping at this point. Toby said it will only focus on the narrative aspect...

Let's be honest, we were expecting Chapter 5 Weird Route to be like Chapter 2—continuing our progress on making Noelle stronger.
So I'm playing a violent route, right? But all the Flower bosses require you to ACT to beat them. If you just purely fight, they keep healing each other. So the only solution is Noelle's last hit Ice Shock or Snowgrave.
Just like how "boring" a game gets when you mindlessly kill everything, punishing you by locking you out of fun events, and then at the end you break Kris' mind by tragically Snowgraving Asgore, then somehow the game skips you to Chapter 7 Side B, like that cause you were never supposed to do that which breaks the game. But yeah the Lake scene is definitely better narratively for whatever Toby Fox is cooking for the Weird Route, I'm looking forward to it.

I understand it would be pretty generic if it was just genocide route all over again. The way Toby's writing it is pretty refreshing and new. But the fact we only got to use Snowgrave to permanently kill Darkners in Chapter 2 is lame...
Hey wait, if you aborted Chapter 4, she'd still have Snowgrave in Chapter 6 if she's going to be in our party, right? But eh, I don't know what to expect from Toby Fox since he literally skipped an entire chapter for the weird route.
Anyway, I just hope there will be some talented fan who could make a fanfiction/fan animation/fan game of a what-if violent Weird Route for Chapter 5 and in the future Chapter 6. (Remember the Weird Route abort jingle sound never played once if you fail to cross the river.)
