What are some good mini split brands on Amazon/Walmart etc? I cant afford a brand name, and i am sure there is a small handful of unknown brands that are decent.

I got a ticket for a loud exhaust. Officer claimed my car had after market exhaust, and gave me a ticket. My exhaust is OEM. I wish to fight the ticket. I work night shifts, so I wont be missing work, it wont cost me more missing worm, i feel this could be an intresting experince. I have never done this before.
When i enter a non guilty plea and I goto my court date, I make my plea and tell my story to the judge, what happens if the judge says "nah, your guilty...nice try". Do i have to pay more money for wasting court time? Can demerits be added by the judge?
I plan to bring in proof with pictures,part numbers to prove I have oem exhaust. This post is not intended for people to tell me "just pay the 162 bucks and move on"... i want to do this, i see it as an intresting experimce, and i am innocence.

I have 3 Miniplugs US Gen 4. This is my first time using shelly products. Each mini plug is hooked up to a lamp, drawing 7watts. Working over wifi with a strong mesh system. My home assistant automation is very simple, Light switch on = turn on 3 mini plugs. Light switch off = Turn off 3 mini plugs.
I dont believe my home assistant has anything to do with it, because the 3 mini plugs dont all randomly turn off at the same time. So the 1mini-gen4 in my light switch box is not the culprit.

I turned on the log feature via the web interface to see if I can see any info, currently waiting to see what I can catch when it happens. It happens once every couple hours and at different times for each device. Before I throw these in the garbage and try a different brand, can anyone think of any obvious reason why these would do this?

I got pulled over last night for loud exhaust. I drive a 4cyl car with factory exhaust. Officer asked me to rev my car to 2000rpm, and told me it was too loud. Considering my car idles at about 1200 rpm, I dont see the significance of 2000rpm and he didnt use a db meter. He just went by his opinion, i guess?
I am not sure what to do. I am planning to plead not guilt. ( I work night shifts, so I wont be missing work for the task of going to court ). I honestly dont know what I would say to the judge. "I drive a 4cyl car that is nearly brand new, the exhaust is mint, no leaks, its factory exhaust. Aside from adding multiple mufflers, how can I avoid this in the future? What is the suggested modification to make my toyota quieter for the officers 2000rpm test?" .
If I drive past this guy tommarrow, he could give me another ticket. He could ticket me every single day on my way to work even if I welded 2 more mufflers in a row. Nothing stopping him, because he doesnt have a db meter, its based on his mood and opinion.

I have always used oem parts but I tried every toyota and subaru dealership in my area and cant find anything online for oem (canada). They are all 1-2month wait times.

Is there a trust worthy after market brand you guys suggest? Or perhaps a website that is canada friendly ?

I haven't owned a car worth cleaning in 25 years. I finally could justify purchasing a new machE because the fuel/maint savings justified it.
When i was a teenager, I would spend hours using a mother's clay bar to clean my cool car, semi annually. Today, my back would never allow for that. Google is showing me a cloth/towel that has replaced this method. It looks faster and easier. But i dont have a clue what to buy. I dont want it to ruin my paint by buying the wrong thing.
Do i use soap with it so it glides smoother?

First highway trip of 1400kms, we averaged 9.3L/100km, air conditioning was on for the entire trip. This was thru BC, so lots of mountain passes. We have all weather tires (not factory rubber )

I noticed at home depot that the sumps they sell have holes at the bottom. Mine does not. Would having holes allow water below my foundation to seep in and get pumped away? Basically, I am thinking my sump is keeping the water at the elevation of the weeping tile, if i drill holes in the bottom, i can slowly drain the entire area 2 ft below my weeping tile.

I wish to run a #8 cable thru my garage attic (attached garage ) for a heater. It has blow in insulation in it. The roof is a very tall pitch, so I would like to run the cable at about a 6ft height ( 3 to 4 ft above the insulation) for ergonomics during install, to not have a tripping hazard under the insulation, and to not disturb the insulation. I would like to use cable straps to fasten the framing. The length is about 40-50ft in the attic space.

I have inceiling speakers that keep my kids awake at night time at any volume level. They are installed into drywall.
Are there any products that allow me to remove the speaker, fold up or squish a solution that stuffs into the hole and rests above the speaker that will help reduce the sound level?

Installing a ductless mini split in my garage. The exterior wall surface is concrete/stucco.
I wish to mount the heat pump on the wall so its not on the ground, as the ground is a tight path that my snowblower and lawn mower fit perfectly thru.
Is this a bad idea? Is there a reccomanded bracket you guys use? Will the vibrations make my stucco Crack?

I planned to shop around and purchase a hard tail ebike in 2026. I have tried out a couple bikes, haven't found something I quite like yet for the price.
The other day, late at night, the one bike shop in the area posted a kona remote 130 for 3300CAD ( 2500 usd ) in my size. I impulse bought it because it was a 3000cad ( 2300 usd ) discount. It was the last model.
I know nothing about, unsure if its good or not. I know it looks cool and its WAY more bike then I expected to purchase initially. I am allowed to get refund before I take it home, so I look forward to test riding it.
Do you guys like this model? Did I get s good price?
