BTC: $65K Is the Key Level.

BTC has made a new low twice this year after retesting a broken uptrend. Now we’re seeing a pretty similar setup, with $65K as the key level to watch.
VanEck analysts say 8 out of 12 BTC capitulation indicators have already triggered, suggesting the crypto winter could end this fall but there may still be room for one more move lower.
Keep an eye on $65K.

The world’s biggest oil companies are sitting on a record amount of cash.

That’s up about 600% from the previous quarter.

China’s economy is slowing down, and investors are piling into government bonds.

China’s 5-year bond yield dropped 7% in just one day to 1.339%. At the beginning of 2024, it was around 2.52%.
The reason is pretty simple: investors just don’t see many good places to put their money right now. China’s property market is still struggling, demand is weak, and the stock market is still well below its all-time highs.
So people would rather park their money in government bonds, even at just 1.339% a year, because they see them as a safer place to keep their money while the economy is struggling.

Donald Trump’s plan to make money off his own posts just hit a major roadblock…

Trump Media recently launched Truth API, a paid service that gives ultra-fast access to posts from 10 of the most influential accounts on Truth Social basically a Bloomberg Terminal for Truth Social.
The subscription costs around $1.2 million a year. In return, traders and hedge funds can get posts milliseconds before everyone else.
Today, The Intercept and the Freedom of the Press Foundation, backed by CREW, sued Donald Trump over the sale of early access to Truth Social posts.
They’re calling it an “extortion scheme” and arguing that a president shouldn’t be allowed to sell early access to his official statements. The lawsuit claims this violates the First and Fifth Amendments.
The First Amendment protects freedom of speech and the press. The argument is that selling early access to presidential statements gives paying customers an unfair advantage over journalists and the public.
The Fifth Amendment covers due process and equal protection. The plaintiffs argue that charging huge amounts of money for faster access to government information is illegal and discriminatory.

Bitcoin Is Getting Scarcer.

As of August 2026, more than 20.07 million BTC has already been mined about 95.6% of Bitcoin’s maximum supply of 21 million.
CZ estimates that 10–20% of all existing Bitcoin may already be permanently lost or inaccessible, and that number will likely keep growing over time.
With the supply strictly capped, he calls Bitcoin a “deflationary asset.”

Bitwise says HYPE, UNI, and AAVE could be undervalued.

The main reason? The market still isn’t fully pricing in the connection between how much money crypto projects actually make and the value of their tokens.
More and more protocols are using their revenue to buy back and burn tokens.
For example, Hyperliquid uses around 99% of its fee revenue to buy back HYPE and has already bought back and burned about $1.3B worth of tokens.
Uniswap is using roughly $100M a year for buybacks, while Aave, Pump.fun, Lighter, and other projects are rolling out similar models.
Bitwise’s CIO says that if this connection between revenue and token value keeps getting stronger, valuations could double or even go higher as the market starts catching on.

Something unusual is happening in Japan.

Japan’s 5-year government bond yield just climbed to 2.17%, the highest level in 31 years.
The 2-year yield also hit a 31-year high at 1.66%.
Basically, investors are demanding higher returns to lend money to the Japanese government. That could be a sign of rising inflation and growing concerns about Japan’s massive debt.
And here’s the bigger risk: if Japanese money starts flowing back home from overseas markets, it could put pressure on stocks and crypto around the world.

Gen Z is choosing sports betting over investing.

Gen Z is increasingly treating sports betting like an investment strategy.
Over the past seven years, the sports betting market has grown 40x, from $430 million to $17 billion. In 2025 alone, Americans legally bet more than $165 billion, up 11% from the year before.
More than 25% of Gen Z say they see sports betting as a better investment than traditional markets. The real problem is that more young people are starting to see gambling as a way to build wealth, risking not just their money, but years of potential investment growth.

Ackman changes his portfolio

Bill Ackman just made his biggest portfolio shake-up in years, adding Netflix (NFLX), Visa (V), Mastercard (MA), Alcon (ALC), Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), and S&P Global (SPGI). He’s betting these companies can deliver strong earnings growth over the long run.
He’s also still holding Microsoft (MSFT), Uber (UBER), Meta (META), Amazon (AMZN), Fannie Mae (FNMA), and Freddie Mac (FMCC).
So far, though, Pershing Square USA has been lagging the market. By the end of July, the fund was down 3.5%, while the S&P 500 was up 13%.
