Kobra X with only ace 2 pro?

Probably a dumb question but can I omit the top holder complete and just run the Ace 2 on the side (or a wall shelf next to the printer)?

Kobra X with Ace 2 Pro or without

Trying to decide if I it is really a necessity for the Kobra X combo vs without.

thoughts? My printer is in the basement year-round, however I run dehumidifiers quite a bit and my humidity rarely ever gets above 50 in the basement.

Ecobee geofencing and away mode.

A few years ago I had my Ecobee setup perfect that when everyone left the house Homekit would kick my thermostat into away mode. It seems somewhere along the line Away mode no longer works and I have been just using Heat/AC at a manual temp when people leave the house as a temporary "band aid".

Lately we in my area we have been back and forth with hot/cold days. Yesterday I accidently heated my house to 76 because my heat was still on vs AC.

My question, is there ANY way to utilize the away function in Homekit?

Question about Kobra X height

So I’m thinking of getting a cobra X but the printer with the filament on top is about 28 inches from what I’ve heard. I only have about 24 inches until it goes into some closet shelving that I don’t want to move or get rid of is there any way that I can mount the filament holder above that shelving?

Edit: Can someone with a Kobra X maybe just give me the measurements of the bars that hold the filiment? (The width mostly?)

Maybe I can put them between the tines?

Kobra X vs Kobra 4 combo?

I'm confused I see the 4 combo is available for preorder but at a glance it looks like the Kobra X is better and available for $100 less.

The only thing the Kobra X doesn't seem to have is the built in filament drier.

Am I missing something?

Air quality sensor not showing up in home view?

I bought the air quality sensor from IKEA (the matter connected one) and it added to homekit just fine, however it only shows up if I go into the living room section of my home and on the top "summaries" area. Is there a way that I can get this device to show up on my main home screen (in the living room section of course)

Outdoor spigot cracked and leaked water through downstairs bathroom (drywall)

I noticed/cleaned it asap and put in a fan and dehumidifier which will be running for a week or 2 straight.

I don't see any sagging or weak spots, just a little discoloring around where the HVAC vent came out and the exhaust vent.

Am I probably ok since I caught this and hopefully dried this ASAP?

Can light in bathroom question.

I’m not really sure where the best place to post this is but since it’s a ventilation question, I’m thinking this is the best. I recently replaced a can light above my shower stall in my bathroom with another can light manufacture and it seems this one doesn’t press really tightly against the ceiling like my other one did it’s nice and snug inside, but just not completely pressed against the Drywall. Am I gonna have steam related issues into my attic? I mean, I do run the bathroom exhaust fan regularly during showers of course but just worried about a little bit escaping.

New setup color light installed as white ambiance rather than color.

Has anyone ever had this happen, the box says color, but in the app it says hue ambiance rather than color ambiance.

Could just be pure coincidence but it seems my wemo plugs have been working better than ever since Wemo dropped support.

I have always had my switches (6x 3 way) and 4 (plugs) hooked up via Homekit. For some reason they would all work great for about a month then they would be unresponsive in Homekit, which I would have to flip the breaker to "reboot" the 3 way switches. They would then work again in the homekit app (for another month).

Another thing I could never seem to do is add a device using homekit ONLY! I would typically have to add via the wemo app first then add to homekit after.

Regarding the first issue, I have now gone Jan-May without any disconnects.

Regarding the 2nd, I accidently factory reset one of my switches hoping for the worst, nope, I removed the plug from homekit and readded by scanning the QR code on the side and it reconnected like magic.

Anyone else experience better than ever products now?

I'm just looking for something small that can make (under 3 cups) of rice (or oatmeal). Nothing too complicated like a 10 in 1 pressure cooker.

Can someone explain why I would want something like a Zojirushi vs a cheap $30 chefman? (or something similar)?

So I used to do this for many years on a Bosch dishwasher and never had any issues, I mostly went back and forth, (rinse aid to white vinegar). I have not done this in many years for whatever reason. Was going to start maybe doing it again but reading very mixed reviews on people saying this will ruin your dishwasher.

Is this true?

I really hate the My link hub and would like to move to a Bond bridge. Am I able to keep my "mylink" on and active while setting up the Bond bridge? In other words can i actively run 2x RTS hubs at the same time?
