Had the team been informed that the comic was ending ahead of time and that the Freedom Fighters were unlikely to return, how do you think the Archie Sonic run could have ended?

[Credit: Aliencon] The Behemoths and The Spiketooth: Posthumans of the Pleistocene Epoch

>both are descendants of Tundra Dwellers (ancestors of the Giants) and are in a small group I call Behemoths (in spite of evolving separately).  The story is during a mini ice age caused by the Yellowstone eruption, populations of Tundra Dwellers began migrating southward into the Americas and Africa.  Characteristics of both species is being predominantly quadrupeds due to large size and clawed hands for grasping plants and defense.  Here are the species:

>Slothman:  Resembling Ground Sloths and Gorillas, the Slothmen evolved from Tundra Dwellers that migrated down through North America and became drawn to South America's abundant food sources.  To survive their warmer environment, the Slothmen reduced their levels of insulating fat and their fur became specialized in keeping cool as opposed to retaining heat.  Though primarily quadrupeds, they can stand on their two hind legs, standing up to 6.1m (20ft), to reach plants high in the trees and ward off predators.

>Elephantman:  More resembling the long extinct Ancylotherium than their namesakes, the Elephantmen underwent the most drastic changes to survive their grassland environment.  They lost virtually all of their fur and drastically reduced their insulating fat, and evolved shaggier, darker skin and large ears to help radiate heat.  They are slightly smaller than the Slothmen at around 2.2m (7ft 3in) at the shoulder and rarely ever rear on their hind legs.

>Spiketooth: The ancestors of the Spiketooth, the Woodland Dwellers, hunted Tundra Dwellers as they traveled south through North America during a mini ice age.  Some of them followed the Tundra Dwellers all the way down to South America and as their prey got bigger (evolving into Slothmen), so did the Woodland Dwellers.  Along with a larger size, the Woodland Dwellers evolved 12in long saber teeth and sharp claws to pierce through the thick hide of the Slothmen.  The end result is an apex predator with a morphology combining characteristics of saber toothed cats and short faced bears*.  Like bears, they can run on all fours at speeds up to 35 mph as well as stand on their hind legs, reaching up to 12ft tall.  Spiketooth normally hunt in groups of up to 15 individuals in order to take down Slothmen though individuals can easily pursue small prey if compelled.

Predicting what bit of internet horror will become a movie next because it's too hot to go outside and I'm bored.

Trevor Henderson's working with Zach fucking Cregger to bring Siren Head to life. We got Alex Kister making a Mandela Catalogue film with the help of STEVEN SPIELBERG. What comes next?... Honestly could be anything, but let's try breaking down the most likely examples.

  • Slenderman... again

As some may tell you, Sony attempted to bring Slender to the big screen in 2018. Sony absolutely failed with what may have been genuinely the most boring, aggravating thing they have ever made. And apparently, they still own the rights, but being entirely honesty I wouldn't be surprised if they either tried again or gave it up and some other studio got hold of it.

The Slender Mythos goes surprisingly deep, though I doubt it would be enough for one movie. But plucking in bits and pieces, and maybe actually showing someone lose their minds to him and become a proxy could make for a good psychological thriller. You'd just need someone who actually knows wtf they're doing.

  • The Rake

Apparently a movie based on Rake already exist? But apparently it sucks and no one talks about it. Honestly I feel like a found footage Rake film would be really easy to make. The monster isn't hard to design (it's pretty much like any other pale, skinny humanoid we've seen dozens of times already) and it would mostly take place in a random woods area with maybe a bit of the monster following the character home because it seems to be the master of breaking and entering.

  • Jeff the Killer

Oh geez lol

Jeff still has some popularity... for all the wrong reasons. Frankly finding that original image has become more popular than his actual story ATP, and while some good rewrites have arrived I feel like most people who hear of Jeff nowadays still view him as a complete joke. IG there's some interest but you'd have to work really hard to make people actually like this movie.

  • Eyeless Jack and Laughing Jack

Honestly I'm just cobbling these two together because I feel like they're in the same boat.. namely, the fact that nobody really seems to GAF about them at this point. Beyond a few Creepypasta retrospectives, nobody seems to remember either Jack existing. Film with them would probably do super poorly. Moving on.

  • More analog horror?

I feel like most analog horror stuff just isn't popular enough to carry an adaptation... save for a select few. Vita Carnis, Gemini Home Entertainment and maybe Midwest Angelica (though I don't think the last one is quite as popular as the other two, though it should be!). Stuff revolving around monsters chasing us down if not straight up cosmic horror stories. They'd be a bit more VFX heavy than the norm though, so I imagine they wouldn't be made for cheap.

And last, but certainly not entirely least.

  • SCP Foundation

Ah yes, the most obvious one that is... probably not happening for the sole reason of how the website operates.

You see, when you make an SCP article, it, and basically every other one that stems before it, enters a Creative Commons License. Effectively, it's all public domain. So, getting everything in order to even use the characters sounds like a big mess. I don't think it's happening anytime soon, unless EVERYONE involved works something out. (and quite a few notable SCP creators have nothing to do with it anymore) Even then, it feels better done as a series than a movie.

I will never not chuckle at how Tibbles snuck his way into the show's final shot. IG he just had a redemption arc off screen lol

Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken released three years ago this week. Having a $70 million dollar budget and grossing a mere $45.6 million worldwide, the film was a box office bomb and currently holds the title for worst opening weekend of any DreamWorks animation movie at $5.5 million.

I know Nintendo said Spikers was cancelled because it got too violent, but in all honesty I'd still totally play a Mario wrestling game without the volleyball stuff.

[OC} A Written Document of Homo Titaneus: The People of Titan.

Hello everyone!

As I try to make more of a mark on the subreddit, I'm taking certain ideas I have in my head and want to jot them down. While they're likely be rather sporadic and more of an anthology instead of an overall connected narrative, I've been on a rather big speculative evolution kick (probably because I reread Dougal Dixon's books lately) and combine that with my love for alien life, figured it would be appropriate if I found a mesh between the two.

Titan was always an interesting place for complex life to develop, and I love the idea of humanity's offshoots developing into their own beings after millions of years pass. My artistic skills admittedly still need some work, but I can still easdily make fictional written documentations. The was these were written was mostly inspired by The Future Is Wild's documentary.

I hope you enjoy, and feedback would be greatly appreciated!

******

When mankind set out to the rest of the universe, it had to start small. The Moon had proven to be easy as technology developed enough, but with its lack of atmosphere it could never be a permanent home. Mars was cold, but with enough generations, the suits needed for them to survive would no longer be needed, and the same went for the ones who landed on Venus to brave its heat.

There was only one more obstacle left to conquer afterwards: Saturn's moon Titan.

It had taken decades to perform, but eventually it was a success! When a first colony dropped, more would follow in their steed, bringing food rations and wildlife until the moon could have a stable population while their counterparts on the solar system's resided and moved forth on their own. Other members of man stayed on Earth and evolved on their own terms, or moved even further out into the universe, away from our home system entirely. But time moved forth, and not all could stay the same. And once life had fully adapted to the systems that were once not their own, evolution had kicked in drastically, only vaguely resembling what had came before.

So, what had become of the men and women who had traversed to the rock encircling the gas giant? 15 million years later, Homo Titaneus had been born.

Titaneus still carries the overall human shape, though are much taller and lankier. Bone density was key to survival, and the skeleton had become increasingly thick as a result. They regularly stand with a bit of a hunch, making their arms dangle near the ground though not at the point their fingers touch the soil. The skin has become pale white, and they eyes much larger to better adjust to Titan's tidally locked twilight. The sclera has turned black, but their irises can come in various colors, from blue, brown, light green and occasionally gold.

Before their evolution took place, infants that were born were immediately placed inside spacesuits to help them survive. Since they had learned to balance and walk without the use of toes, and with the helmets constantly covering their hair, those had been rid of once they could fully leave their gear behind. Instead, their feet have morphed into odd, horse-like hooves, though if one looks closely you could tell that all five toes had simply merged into one form.

In ways, Titaneus does act much more animalistic than their predecessors, often hunting akin to cavemen and even running and bellowing like lions; but that does not mean they've lost their intelligence, far from it. Titaneus' have been recorded to have their own type of language, seemingly built while analyzing the ones before it, though it's hard to decipher with the low tone they all speak in. In addition, they're still quite aware of their heritage and hold Homo Sapiens in high regard. Remnants of human life remain in their day to day, including babysitters to help the children when parents are busy and some even engaging in soccer, or at least a similar type of sport, in free time.

Ultimately though, Titaneus still constantly yearns to wonder and wander beyond their own home. Communication with the people on Earth, Mars and Venus was once possible, but the outdated tech combined with the different path each went had made it incredibly difficult. Building a spaceship to get to them that also used hyperspace to get their fast as they wanted was no possibility with the machinery they were granted. And with how primitive they had become, would they still be accepted?

Perhaps in a few more million years, Homo Titaneus will become a true animal, leaving every trace of human mind behind them. Or, perhaps, they would take to the stars yet again, and finally have a reunion with their cousins they craved. Perhaps one day they could be the ones who brought man back together after eons apart.

Perhaps one day....

They act incredibly smart and philosophical, but in reality they have no clue what the hell they're talking about.

Friend Owl (Bambi): He tries lending the kids advice, but it frankly all sounds terrible and it was probably for the best they mostly ignore him afterwards.

Xavier (Xavier Renegade Angel): The dude consistently talks like he knows the meaning of life and seeks to give others guidance with his knowledge. In reality, said advice nigh CONSTANTLY made things worse, and he regularly gets beat up as a result.
