Combining Games?

I played Mappa Imperium with the last two D&D games I ran to do a bit of worldbuilding and get some ideas for the game and it's world. We've also taken a page out of *Dimension 20'*s book and incorporated a little bit of Good Society into one of our arcs.

Have you guys ever combined TRPGs or TRPG elements together?

What’s your dream “Mix and Match” unit?

Every few months I see someone post “What would be your dream Deathwatch unit” with the caveat that it has to be “A completely new unit, no mixing and matching existing kits”.

Well I wanna know the opposite.

What’s your dream Deathwatch unit that would just be made up of existing Space Marine* miniatures? Or what models would you want as options for existing units?

My dream would be to have the old Firstborn kill teams that I’ve forgotten the name of back, but primarisfied. So everything that you can put in Fortis plus Outriders and Terminators.

Or let Fortis, Spectrus and Indomitor teams take weapon options from the Decimus kill team.

Lastly, my absolute dream would be to add a model from a non codex-compliant chapter’s units to another kill team. Like a Sanguinary Guard model in a Talonstrike Kill Team, or a Hound of Morkai in a Spectrus squad?

What Detachment? What to Add?

Hello!

I'm pretty new to list building and I'm working on putting an army together I clearly need to add a few things, but I'm not sure what.

I'm not really sure what detachment would be best to use either, but I think maybe I should wait until I have a fuller list. I've had a cursory glance at the detachments but I don't feel like I currently have enough specific units to justify using any of them (i.e. not enough [FLY] units to justify using Chorus of Condemnation, not enough [PENITENT] units to justify using Penitent Host etc.)

I like to use up spare parts so I'd like to use my leftover parts to make ...

  • Another Novitiate Squad (or 2!)
  • Another Battle Sister Squad

I'd like to add:

  • Celestian Sacresancts as a bodyguard for the cannoness or Greyfax.
  • I'm a Deathwatch player at heart and I'd kinda like to add a Deathwatch Veteran Squad in the same colours as my sisters.
  • I would love to add some more Repentia, Retributor and Seraphim squads because they were an absolute joy to build and paint.
  • I would like to add some Paragon Warsuits.
  • I would like to add Saint Celestine but idk if that fits well with this army?

Any advice from more veteran players

Which Reiver Helmet?

Eventually I want to add some Reivers to my army, I know they’re terrible but I like their design.

I got bored and wanted to pick out some helmet colours but I’m torn and want to see what the hive mind think.

A1 - A3 are my ideas for standard reivers. I’m torn between A1 (black and white) or A2 (black and silver) but I added A3 (black and bone)

B1 - B4 are my ideas for the sergeant. The question is do I go with matching skull colour but do the helmet in red (Reiver squad may actually end up being green or blue rather than red) or keep their helmets black and do the mask red instead?
