I am looking for a perfume for my wedding day!

I’ve looked in places like ulta and Sephora and I don’t enjoy scents that are floral, citrusy or sweet smelling.

I enjoy woodsy smells or almost manly smells (without being too manly if you know what I mean)

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced brand of perfume that suits this? Also, is there anything that falls between a perfume and a body spray? Body spray is faint and perfume feels too pungent sometimes - giving me a headache.

This was a great journalistic true crime podcast.

I actually listened twice.

BUT I was curious if anyone had a similar recommendation?

Would prefer more investigative style podcasts instead of just regurgitating info if that makes sense!

DAE hate play dates?

My son socializes a lot with a multi age daycare, cousins and other extended family, and my close friends - who have a bunch of kids.

I feel bad and don’t want to make it about me but I absolutely hate play dates lol

Maybe it’s because we are busy as it is or my social battery is drained…but the days I’m with my son I just want to be with him.

We’ll go out places and do activities but I don’t really want to do play dates. At least often haha

Is this shitty?

Been doing desk/computer work for 16 years. I’ve never liked it but pushed through because…you know…bills, benefits, adulthood.

I am getting to a point where I physically and mentally cannot take much more of this style of work. I hate this lifestyle. I work out when im off but for me, it makes me feel disgusted to be sitting staring at a screen for so much of my life. Despite being active when i can, I’ve still accumulated issues that I relate to this style of work.

I’m at a point where I’m feeling my mental health depleting and I’m getting scared. I’m burnt out. I am done. And to think, I have thirty more years? There’s just no fucking way.

I need change. I’m willing to make a change. I just don’t know how or where to start…and what will be available to me to make the money I need to survive.

I don’t want to do nursing or work construction or go back to serving/retail.

I just wish there was a way for me to be a busy body and not have to break my body or deal with the general public constantly.

Please send advice. And please dont tell me to suck it up - been sucking it up since I was 18. It’s time to make moves. If you relate to this, please share your stories and drop some tips.

Son is just over 2 years old. He’s been at the same daycare since 8 months.

The younger assistant teachers are great and my son seems to really like them and the other kids!

There are two owner/teachers though who I am struggling with. They are always passive aggressive or snarky towards me. Weird comments/messages or faces and energy towards me.

My husband does drop off and pick ups 90 percent of the time because those days, I work 12 hours shifts and those are the days my son goes to daycare. The days I don’t work, my son is home with me. He goes three days a week.

They never tell my husband any problems. They only bring them to me on the off days I do bring or pick up my son.

About a year ago, we get a message asking us if we’ve “noticed bruising on my sons back”

I responded to them but letting them know that those marks have been there since birth and they are called Mongolian spots. They usually disappear between ages 3-6. He has a pretty big one at the bottom of his spine right above his butt.

The way they presented it felt very accusatory and not coming from a place of concern. I don’t know if this is a daycare protocol or something that they have to take a picture and message the parents...

But today, I dropped him off and my son did not want to go - he was upset and had a tantrum. The one owner/teacher just stood there and watched me try to console him with a smug look on her face.

I’m at home getting my bridal trial done and I get a message from them AGAIN asking about the “bruising on his back” I again told them that this is a mark that he has had always.

They then proceeded to say they are familiar with those marks and they were getting him ready for nap time and noticed it along with “bruising on his shoulders” and sent a picture of that - mind you I’m staring at this picture and I’m like what are they even talking about? I see no bruising at all? Also, why is his shirt being removed for nap time? I don’t understand that…

I responded by saying, no I did not notice this but thank you for informing me. I don’t know what else to say to that.

Granted, my son is a wild 2 year old boy - he’s gonna have cuts, scrapes and some bruises sometimes! 90 percent of the time those injuries are from daycare in the first place when they’re all playing outside. I’m not going to always notice them. Especially if they’re not even there 🤣

Long story short, I’m getting really uncomfortable with these messages - I understand daycare has a duty to protect children but these messages feel like they’re suggesting something? It’s the second time now, along with the way they treat me.

Am I over thinking this or are they implying that they think I’m hurting my child?

Long story short I was overly confident ordering a dress online - everything that came in was junk (even pretty pricy stuff)

So I need to find a dress off the rack/sample because my wedding is at the end of August.

I want something super simple - like a slip dress. It really doesn’t even need to be a bridal shop.

Does anyone know where I can find a good selection of in store dresses off the rack?

I’ve tried:

David’s bridal (I did get a dress from here but don’t love it - if I need to this will be it)

Bridal Garden (they had nothing - and wasn’t a fan of the experience)

Fashion Du Jour (cute shop but didn’t have much for me in my size/style)

Hello everyone!

Getting married in Bloomsburg/Catawissa area in August!

Our guests will have to come in a day early due to check in times at the hotel conflicting with our ceremony! Check in times during busy wedding season doesn’t let you check in earlier than three.

So my fiancé and I are looking to put together a list of things to do in the area to kill some time!

We did venture down to Main Street in Bloomsburg but felt like it was definitely geared more towards college aged kids being that Bloomsburg University is right there! There was some cool bars that people can check out!

But can anyone recommend any other nice main streets to walk around or places to explore to kill a day while they’re up here?

Thinking like shopping, coffee shops, restaurants, ice cream, nice out doorsy areas.

Would love to hear about some near by main streets you can walk down!

My fiancé and I are looking for the perfect first dance song! We love going to concerts and we love all types of music - especially me!

But the music genre we share most is emo (think TSSF, Silverstein, brand new) we’re from Jersey so we grew up in this scene!

Looking for a good song in this genre or even something acoustic or folky (like Noah Kahan)
