Seeing as we have such unique teams as "Samurai Outriders", I think its very likely the DLC teams wont match the base roster teams and will be different.
So here is my attempt at the new DLC teams

- Paapa Essiedu
This is a question mainly aimed at African Americans. As a Black British/African, Ive seen people say only African American culture is "Black" culture. I am interested in how many people think like this or if this is a common take.
This is my reasoning of why The Promoter will be joining the roster
Design and archetype: The Promoter has a very unique well put together design. Very much cutesy magical girl looking. Easily fighting game friendly.
Unique character: Her along with Danger, help establish and differentiate this game from other Marvel fighters. Similar to characters like Spiral.
Storyline: If you guys dont know, this same storyline of The Promoter and The Champion exists in the comics. In the comics she puts on a tournament for Thor and Hulk, to retrieve her magical items and the person who retrieved the most earned the right to fight The Champion. What she didnt tell them was she was also a contestant and would use the items they obtained to fight The Champion herself.
This is why I believe she will also have this plot twist in the game. Becoming an unlockable character that will face the champion along with the others once all the quests are finished.
Her fighting style: In the comics they retrieve for her magical items.
- The Tactigon: A weapon that can transform into anything
- The Moonstone: Enhanced her physical stats and gave her armour
- Belt of Tuurgid the Unbeatable: Makes her armour unbreakable
- Eldur's Locket: Allows her to heal from anything
She also has her base ppwers which is teleportation, forcefields and size alteration.
Overall if Marvel Tokon's roster is heavily tied to different parts of the Marvel comics lore. Judging by the fact that The Promoter also becomes a contestant in the comics, its probably what will happen in the game as well.
Japanese inspired take on Blade from Marvel. They combined his looks from the movie and anime, whilst adding their own elements as well.
The fact we have 4 different incarnations with amazing designs in 4 different genres.
Midnight Suns 2022 - Tactical RPG
Marvel Rivals 2025 - Hero Shooter
Marvel Tokon 2026 - Fighting Game
Blade 2027 - Single Player Action Adventure
And yes the 2027 Blade game is still alive and coming. Todd Howard (Director of Bethsheda who are publishing the game) and Jeff Grubb (game journalist) have confirmed the game isnt dead. Todd actually said the game is looking really really good.
Theres only 6 women in Tokon, yet we have 2 black women. Whilst in Rivals there is 19 women and only 1 black woman. Funnily enough Tokon has more black women than East Asian or White women.
((Theres also as much black characters in Tokon as Rivals. And the roster is less than half of Rivals))😷
Im thinking Tokon. I prefer Tokon's glasses, outfit and hair more. Rivals Blade may have the better face model though.

Personal opinion: Love the picks though very similar to Marvel Rivals. So I guess having Shuri in there is a nice switch up ( I miss T'challa tho😭). Im happy they went all out and designed these chsracters pretty well. With Storm and Blade being the stars of their teams. Both Storm and Blade have so much versatility and thought put into their kits in comparison to Marvel Rivals. Im really happy with this.
Anime Blade + Wesley Snipes = Perfect combo.
He joins the Samurai Outriders. He looks extremely good and his voice is cool af.

Assuming Amon doesnt do traditional waterbending and instead he does non-bending + blood bending. Who would you want to be the water + blood bender of the game ?
Personally I think I prefer Hama since she could do water, blood and plant bending too.

Its clearly Blade. His design is interesting.
