My local Coptic church actually does have some very nice people and community and I’m getting involved with them again, but mostly for cultural reasons and as said the people. There’s an older woman who’s very nice and has been very good to me. I have started to attend meetings and the first one was actually nice. Despite the meeting focusing on the Bible and such, the people were welcoming and the environment was friendly.

However, i am still reluctant to join liturgies and she has been encouraging to attend. She thinks the reason that I’m hesitant to go is because I don’t want to confess but I just don’t have the heart to explain that I just am no longer religious and have no plans to return to Christianity.

Are there any other closeted nonbelievers who are in a similar position where they attend church to be with other Egyptians/copts but don’t actually take the religion itself? Ty

I have met too many queer people who were misogynistic, racist, biphobic, lesbophobic, ableist, etc. Yeah, they might be queer and they might’ve left behind their conservative communities but many don’t leave behind their bigoted views and as long as they suffer no personal consequences for them, they won’t do so. Truth be told, they are just upset that the leopard ate their face when they least expected it, otherwise they probably still would’ve remained conservative bigots.

I am 28 years old. His argument is that I wouldn’t know what to do in an emergency and that he has to be near the house to come home if needed. Like I get my disability makes it harder to do things but I’m not THAT mentally incapacitated! When I ask him, he can’t even offer a reasonable argument for why he thinks this. He has always treated me like I am mentally handicapped and not capable of taking care of myself then he’ll unironically turn around and get angry at me for not being as ‘in step’ as others my age! Even my NT sister who is less responsible than i am is treated with far more dignity! It is ridiculous.

I am calling my doctor to request slow release tomorrow because I can’t eat any sort of fruit or vegetable anymore without shitting my guts out on the toilet. I’m literally typing this from the bathroom rn 😭

I’m planning to replace our toilet lever but want to keep the old handle. Would it be somehow possible to take the old handle and put it on the new lever when installing? Ty!

I have been eating healthier for the past two weeks. And as a result? Diarrhea. So much unexplained diarrhea. And it’s been so much worse for the past few days. I am also on metformin which might explain it but I don’t think even that makes you poop literal water 3 times a day. I’ve been trying to take probiotics since yesterday but I feel more tired and slightly nauseated which I attribute to them. I am so sick and tired and have no idea what to do anymore. Screw this.

Yes, I know it isn’t good for me but it was so worth it. I have no regrets!

Anyone else want this too or am I just weird?
