🚨 Google is killing Android freedom. 🚨

In 2027, Google plans to roll out mandatory developer verification globally. Apps from developers who haven't registered with Google will face restrictions on certified Android devices → including apps installed outside Google Play.

🚩 F-Droid and other independent app stores will become harder to use
🚩 Sideloading unverified apps will require a special “advanced” process
🚩Independent developers and hobbyists will have to deal with Google’s registration system
🚩 Google is becoming a gatekeeper for software running on Android devices

This undermines one of Android’s defining features: the freedom to install software from wherever you choose. 😤

Android is supposed to be open, and your phone should be yours → NOT GOOGLES.

It’s time to support open alternatives like GrapheneOS, CalyxOS and LineageOS. ✊

🚨 The EU cannot allow Google to dictate how Europeans exercise their privacy rights online.

The European Commission wants to remove the ANNOYING COOKIE BANNER that you navigate every time you visit a website, but Google is lobbying against this. 🍪🙄

Now, EU Member States like Germany & France also want to keep it.

WHY?

Big Techs like Google & Meta make HUGE profits tracking you, so of course they don't want it to be easier for you to refuse consent. 😡

It is time for the European Parliament to advocate to keep their proposal (Article 88b) & remove the cookie banner.

Because it's people like you who are directly impacted. It's time to make your voices heard & #KILLTHECOOKIEBANNER. 🍪

Big Tech won't stop collecting MORE of our BIOMETRIC DATA 😡

Meta, the company behind Facebook, just announced new "Facebook verified" badges. To get the badge, you have to record a short video selfie, which Meta will then check against your existing profile photos to confirm it matches.

This is just another excuse to collect more of our data😤

Find out how to stop Facebook from collecting your data: 👉 https://tuta.com/blog/what-does-facebook-know-about-me
