Is this common knowledge?

I left a 2-star (I believe it was) review two weeks ago for Cineworld Wolverhampton. I just ordered all reviews for the place by Most Recent and it's gone and the only ones that really seem to be on there are 3 stars and above. My review was fair and polite - there was no reason for it to be deleted.

What is the point of leaving reviews on Google Maps if the company can simply delete the ones that aren't high starred?

This feels seriously underhanded

During navigation, there are three audio alert options: Muted, Alerts, Unmuted

I never use Unmuted as I find turn-by-turn voice navigation irritating.

However, an issue I have with the Alerts toggle is that it is either ALL alerts or NO alerts.

For example, it would be nice to get audio alerts for important things like lane closures, mobile police cameras etc but as I never speed, having it constantly beep for static/permanent speed cameras is irritating.

My only solution is to turn off audio alerts, unfortunately.

It would be nice to pick and choose which audio alerts you get when you are in Alerts 'mode'.

My S24 Ultra needs to go in for a warranty repair before its 2-year warranty expires in November, and I cannot be without a phone for the week or so it will be with Samsung, so I may as well use this opportunity to upgrade before it goes away.

My options are:

• Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 (refurbished) £900
• Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra (new) £900

The Fold 7 is from Giffgaff, the condition is 'Excellent' and it comes with an 18-month Giffgaff warranty. No idea if Samsung would honor their own 2-year warranty if I am buying it refurbished/used.

My issue is the Fold 7 will be a camera system downgrade from my S24 Ultra.

S24 Ultra (Jan 2024):

• 12 MP, f/2.2, 13mm, 120˚ (ultrawide), 1/2.55", 1.4µm, dual pixel PDAF

S26 Ultra (Feb 2026):

• 200 MP, f/1.4, 23mm (wide), 1/1.3", 0.6µm, multi-directional PDAF, OIS
• 10 MP, f/2.4, 67mm (telephoto), 1/3.94", 1.0µm, PDAF, OIS, 3x optical zoom
• 50 MP, f/2.9, 111mm (periscope telephoto), 1/2.52", 0.7µm, PDAF, OIS, 5x optical zoom
• 50 MP, f/1.9, 120˚ (ultrawide), 1/2.5", 0.7µm, dual pixel PDAF, Super Steady video

Basically, if I go with the Fold 7, I would have to accept that.

I guess my decision is that I would have to trade camera quality (to that similar to the S23 era) for the larger screen.

I know that is a personal decision but does anyone have any general thoughts?

Preferably in a way that will keep achievements intact.

I use 'Refresh metadata' quite often e.g. when I add a film to Jellyfin so I can watch it downstairs yet do not want to wait for the app to do an automatic scan.

This is easily accessible in 'My Media' view (screenshot below)

However, I far prefer the 'My Media (small)' view and this menu does not work in that view (screenshot below).

I have tried ironing them flat when I iron the tops but they almost always end up lifting.

I bought this Aux DFR2-B6 / DF 07K 7,000 BTU portable air conditioner last week and got it installed in my home office yesterday (tube through the wall to the outside installation).

The room reached 25C today, so I closed the windows and door and turned the unit on (Mode: Cooling, Fan Speed: Low (which is the lowest setting and still very loud). Using Sleep mode changes Fan Speed to Auto and it's even louder).

Initially (as soon as it was turned on), I felt the air pressure change and my ears started to ache.

The room dropped 2C in about 20 minutes.

After the 20 minutes, I noticed I felt lightheaded / dizzy, my throat was a little sore and my right ear (which was pointing in the direction of the unit) started to feel really uncomfortable (even though the fan was not aiming at me) so I decided turn it off.

My symptoms did not really improve for around two hours afterward.

A BTU calculator online suggested I needed a 3,500-4,000 BTU unit for this size room but 5,000 units are extremely hard to come by, so I had to buy a 7,000 BTU unit (which, in itself, was hard to find). I was hoping I could use it on a low power setting but as I stated above, I believe I had it set to the lowest and it was really loud.

Are my symptoms because the unit is too powerful for the size of the room?

I have scanned 3,000 or so family photographs from the 1960s to the 2000s.

I have added EXIF datetaken information to each photo.

However, with a good amount of the photographs, I only know the rough month, or even just the rough year.

In such cases, the EXIF datetaken has been set to, for example, 01/01/1986 (if the photo was circa 1986), 01/01/1998 (if the photo was circa 1998). This has been done to at least place them in some decent order when viewing in an app like Ente.

As you can imagine, though, it makes the top bar in Ente quite pointless, as only around 25% of the photographs have exact/known dates in their EXIF data.

Is it possible to, in a future update, have an option to hide the '21 years ago', 'through the years' etc bar?

I recently bought a Treedix TRX5-0816 (USB Cable Tester III) from Amazon UK (link), in order to seperate my better cables from the cheaper ones.

However, I have since discovered information within USB-C e-markers can be misrepresented, which makes the e-marker pointless, in my mind.

Is there a way, on a budget, to test how much data / power a USB-C cable can handle?

I am using Canon IJ Scan Utility v1.5.0.69 with my Canon CanoScan LiDE 400 (2018 model) in Windows 11, using the following settings:

I have placed a page in the scanner, and there is around 3-4mm on each side long side (left and right) of the paper.

As you can see, there is a small amount missing from both the left and right sides, even though it easily fits within the scanbed, with a few mm to spare on each left/right side.

I would expect there to be slim white lines on the left and right of the scan, as there are at the top and bottom.

Any ideas?

I use the display a secondary monitor for my PC, and it has been working for a long while.

I recently had to factory reset the TV and now, after a short time, I get a screen that alternates between a "To turn the screen back on, please press any button except for the power button" message and an analogue clock.

Google was not much help.

How can I disable this message / clock?
