July 4th coupon-Is it really one item only?

Can I buy 2 things with it or do I have to go and come back/visit a different store. Wanted to buy the underhood light and the extra lamp.

Anyone with a Crown Shades canopy know what these parts are for?

Not clear in the instructions. I don’t even see them mentioned.

Adding a third physical deck. CDJ3000 vs more economical solutions.

Question:

30 year hobby for me.

What would you advise someone to do if they were in a situation where they would like to start playing around with a 3rd deck, have 2 technics 1200's, using an Audio 10 DJ and an X1 as an effects controller, and are thinking about trying to play out more often-Seeing the standard being the CDJ3000.

Would you advise to acquaint themselves with the new industry standard or get a simple controller (Z1?), or maybe a cheaper CDJ so long as it carries most of the bells and whistles for traktor. Being a turntable DJ all these years, I do like to retain the tactile feel of a deck and platter.

Should I just go for the 3000? I'm torn. The idea of being unfamiliar with gear when it comes time to throw down makes me anxious. I like to be prepared.

PIoneer CDJ 3000 are listed as sold out at Pioneer Store.

Does that mean they're no longer selling them or will they come back in stock?

What am I doing wrong regarding extending a trip credit?

Have some expiring trip credits. I'm doing everything I've read to do in order to extend them. Book another flight that is slightly more so I'm paying with a CC, Economy fully refundable etc. But the two times I've done it already the credit comes back with the same date. Is it because I'm cancelling too quickly? I've waited a day but should I wait until I'm closer to 48 hours?

Confused about running NI Maschine as a plugin.

Everything is set up right, but I can't seem to record a pattern, so no way to then export that as audio into Logic afterwards (I've read this is the best way over drag and drop so I don't affect audio quality.)

I've followed videos that explain how to use slice with detect, then apply, but then there doesn't seem to be any way to record. Nothing happens when I hit record in Maschine. Anyone have tips or a good video to share?

Quick question from a middle school art teacher

So I generally spoil my kids and give them the fresh clay-Problem is, by the end of the year I have many, many bags of reconstituted clay scraps that I just throw in the closet and they just get drier over time. Occasionally, I'll wedge them into large blocks and drive a dowel through the center, fill with water and they come back just as good as the fresh stuff, but it's a lot of work/prep time. I'm trying to develop better practices for next year and I vaguely remember clay studios I've been in having a big barrel for scraps. Is this a good idea for the classroom? Do I just line the inside with a large trash bag and keep it tied? Many thanks.

My locking pin actuator is done. Warranty?

Hi All, I have the TSB in hand and will be checking with VW. Car is a 2019 and has 65K miles on it. I am the 2nd owner. I've tried all the tricks with silicon spray, tapping on the area around the port, turning the car on without starting it and then plugging it in-No joy. The pin makes 5 attempts to push out, I see it struggling a few mm, and then the red light.

I would be capable of doing the repair myself, but I really don't want to (am slightly nervous about the warning in the TSB over deadly currents though).

Is this covered under the charging system warranty-8 years or 100,000 miles? Will VW give me a hard time? This couldn't happen at a worse moment. I'm a teacher going into the last week and a half of the school year and this is my transportation.

Thanks in advance.

Bruise from a pinch or did a nymph deer tick possibly bite me?

Today, I vaguely remember pinching my leg against something (just can’t remember when or what). In the last week I had been working in the yard trimming trees and lugging them into the woods behind the house but have taken precautions (socks tucked in pants, clothes in dryer and shower every time I came in) and am generally hyper aware of monitoring for anything crawling on me. I did not see a tick at any point. The purple color and lack of a bite mark has me thinking it’s related to the pinch. Thoughts appreciated. Only had one other tick experience where one was embedded (a deer tick too) and I removed it (was probably attached 12 hours) and luckily tested negative for Lyme a month or so later. I was startled by this mark and it had me wondering.

Rebuilding brick step

https://preview.redd.it/hwn0nfh5ji6h1.jpg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b4a8cf8a34d8815f5c0b88000438bd3ab5f92e44

So when I moved into our home back in 2014, I ended up having to repoint some loose bricks. More recently, I had neglected a step that needed some work and the winter was not kind to it. I have an idea how to go about this with a chisel and some mortar, but I'm wondering if what appears to be sand-Is that just old mortar? Should I just clean all this up first by chipping away until I have nice clean edges to work with? Thanks in advance.

Hardie (where to buy as a homeowner)?

Where to buy Hardie products (TrueGrain) as a homeowner who will be attempting a DIY install for a small project? I'm in MA where there is a manufacturing hub for the company.

Question about West Harlem

Hey All,

I helped my brother move into his place this weekend, corner of W 134th and Amsterdam. He's going to be at a year long program at Columbia. I suggested he might think about getting a bike to commute rather than taking the bus, but I want to make sure that's the right advice to give being that he would be doing urban biking for the first time. I read a post about community resistance to bike lanes in West Harlem specifically, but just trying to get a read on how safe it would be or if there are alternate travel paths through parks or by the Hudson River that might be a little less hectic for a novice rider. I do think having a bike would be the best way to get around and see more of the city if it was me personally, but I'm also hyper vigilant on a bike.

Thanks for any local knowledge.

▲ 5 r/DJs

Hey all, I use Traktor with DVS and am looking to incorporate a 3rd deck (and also get a feel for the layout of the CDJ3000.)

I spotted a used one (with deck saver, no box) in excellent condition on FB and the guy is willing to let it go for $1900.

I could get a refurbished one from Pioneer for 2100 + tax (3 month warranty) and a new one with a teacher discount for 2300 + tax (12 month warranty).

I'm not a working DJ but have been at it for 30 years and have been thinking about returning to putting out mixes and playing out. I'm a cheapass historically, and always hesitant to spend money. What's the move here?

One big question I had was, IF I were to run into problems with the used one, I've read the most I could be looking at for repair would be $500, putting me right around the cost of new. Is the cost savings worth the risk?

Thanks.
