War Journal a story that gave him his own supporting cast. Didnt require for him to compete for page time and dialogue bubbles with any one else was loads better

Even though Lost Army didnt get to be written to its completion according to Cullen Bunn. That book was loads better when it was just John leading his own little crew of GLs

Same for his time alone in Mosaic. The characters infinitely better when the writers just focused on him and not another group of GLs. Or with making the other core four look important. I enjoy his solo stories also way more.

Id love an ongoing thats just John being a space cop/soldier on his own. Meeting new characters and making his own supporting cast without being weighed down by the GL mythos requiring him to play second fiddle/cheerleader to Hal, Mullen, Kid Lantern, other Justice Leaguers or Kyle.

If I had to pick a specific writer to make a series where its just him exploring space. And the stakes are way lower. (No world ending nonsense. Or Lantern battery bullshit)

Id probably pick someone like Ram V with art by Momoko or Evan Cagle. Just John being the lead and MC in a space opera
