After almost 4 months with it, the S26 Ultra is a joke

After having it for almost 4 months the only conclusion I cam give is: it's a shit phone

The camera in an interior environment is trash, the fingerprint sensor is a joke, the screen is amazing yeah but I can bearly see it in sunlight but honestly the privacy display is a nice feature, the front facing camera is a joke too, the battery life is decent but I was expecting better (my Pixel 9 Pro XL had better battery life), the s pen is so small it is barely usable, the charging is absolutely horrible if under 26% it stops charging every percent and I have to replug it back in and some mornings because of that I would wake up with my phone at 5%. But the worst part about this phone is the software. Oh boy the software is bad

OneUI 8.5 on this phone feels worse than running Windows 11 on a PC from 2005. The lag is horrible, the keyboard feels painful to type on, the animations are ass. At has happened to me 3 times now where I unlock the phone and all I get is black screen for 5 seconds then the phone just suddenly reboots. I wanted try wiping the cache but Samsung became such an Apple like greedy peice of shit that they removed the wipe cache option from the recovery menu.

Honestly I really regret selling my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL for this peice of shit. I don't care how many times the SD Elite Gen 5 is more powerful that the Tensor G4, thr Pixel was a way smoother and way more refined phone. And the software was just miles better than ShitUI 8.5.

The worst part about this is that I got this phone on a bring it back plan with my carrier TELUS so I'm stuck with this peice of shit for another 20 months, unless I try to cancel it which I would probably owe a massive amount. I mean if I canceled the contract and then sold the phone on eBay it might pay off most of the balance (and honestly I'm seriously considering doing that when I have the money and I would go buy a Pixel 10 Pro XL which will probably be less expensive by that time since the 11 will probably have came out). I think the S26U might be the worst phone I ever had, even worse than the Galaxy A51 I had a couple years ago.

This phone is very disappointing, especially at this price point. I don't know wtf Samsung did but they fucked up bad, because even the base model S24 I had before the Pixel was solid.

Another successful upgrade to the P15 G2 (Screen upgrade)

Successfully upgraded the panel from the stock 1080p 60Hz to a 1440p 165Hz (BOE NE156QHM-NY1). The anti glare coating is also way better. The install was not an easy job since there are no tutorials online but I managed to do it successfully, tho it's not perfectly leveled it's barely noticeable.

Are Rickenbackers worth it?

This summer I'm gonna have enough money to buy myself a Rickenbacker 4003, my dream bass. I really like their unique tone and design. I played one back in last November in Halifax at Long and McQuade and I really liked it, but do you think they're actually worth it long term?
