I saw this video on the nosey neighbors fw tiktok and wanted to know if anyone had any context to this mess?

On October 26, 2022, the judge ruled that Walden's contact with Land should have ended when it became clear that Land was not sleeping in the park or in need of assistance, and that the city was not responsible for Walden's actions.

On November 22, 2022, the city settled the lawsuit for $30,000.

The U.S. remains the only nation in the world where civilian-held firearms outnumber the total population, with an estimated 120.5 guns per 100 residents, and 32 bullets per resident. The closest runner-up is the Falkland Islands at roughly 62 firearms per 100 people, which is only about half of the U.S. rate.

These guns floating around will greatly increase (1) the effectiveness of civilian resistance to zombies relative to less-armed countries, and (2) deaths in conflict among humans both during the initial outbreak and in the long run. We'd probably see increased gun-related accidental and suicidal deaths. I just wonder whether the benefit of (1) outweighs the cost of (2).

In the long run of a zombie apocalypse, and assuming that humanity is able to eradicate (or at least contain) the undead menace, what effect do we think all those extra guns are going to have on what comes after?

Edit: Please don't read this as some kind of anti-gun agenda piece. I too am an American with guns and ammo, so I'm doing my part!

Anyone else think this is a more measured and dignified response than what we would see if the officer had instead shot the child they were looking for?

Anyway, I'm assuming this is genuine and not over-the-top sarcasm here, but I've been fooled before.

It quickly became my favorite zombie show. I definitely enjoyed the first season more, but was disappointed Netflix canceled it on a cliffhanger. Never got into Z-Nation (stopped halfway through s2), but it's really too bad that of these two shows based in the same universe, the better one (in my opinion) only got two seasons.

Story.

A video recorded at a gas station in Lake Worth, Florida, shows an ICE/Border Patrol agent demanding ID from a U.S. citizen. When the citizen asks why, the agent explicitly responds, "Because you're an immigrant." Before even verifying his identity, agents grab his hands and place him in handcuffs. Bystanders immediately step in to question how someone can be arrested without even being identified first, but the agents ignore them and walk the man to their vehicle.

The Supreme Court has established that roving Border Patrol agents must have reasonable suspicion based on specific circumstances to stop and question someone regarding their immigration status—and apparent ethnicity alone is legally insufficient. Requiring someone to prove their citizenship before being handcuffed, based solely on an arbitrary claim, demonstrates a concerning violation of constitutional rights by federal agents acting without accountability.
