Leaving my hometown for a fresh start

22M, run an online business (fully remote), thinking of leaving my hometown for a better social life, friends, hosting people, eventually a serious relationship.
Which city would actually work for this?
Pune???
Anyone made a similar move in their early 20s purely for lifestyle reasons, not a job? Where'd you go and how'd it actually work out?

Thinking of leaving my hometown for a better social life

i’m 22, live in Hisar and run my own online business, so i can pretty much work from anywhere
life here has started feeling a bit too repetitive… same place, same small circle, not much really happening. i’m thinking of moving out mainly to build a proper life for myself — make new friends, have people over, actually have a social circle, and eventually meet someone for a serious relationship. not really interested in casual dating.

ideally i’d want somewhere good social scene for someone in their early 20s, but not necessarily hardcore nightlife
reasonably affordable, i don’t want rent to eat most of my income
decent area/flat where i’d actually be comfortable having people over

has anyone here made a similar move in their early 20s purely for lifestyle/social reasons rather than a job?
where did you go and how did it actually work out for you?
looking for real experiences

Why is everyone hating Jaipur??

I am not from Jaipur

everywhere I see on reddit, every post, everyone is saying, jaipur is shit, shitty place, shitty roads, shitty infra, shitty people, shitty everything.

whyy???

I have visited jaipur 2-3 times, and i have felt that Jaipur is very very good.

like the roads, i felt were great, the traffic system was good

the overall vibe i felt was very good and rich, which i liked

Even if i want to relocate, i consider jaipur to be one the best places

why so much hate ??

or has it really become this bad now?

Sometimes all it takes is one person

for decades people believed that running a mile in under 4 minutes was basically impossible.
then in 1954, Roger Bannister did it in 3 minutes 59.4 seconds.
he didn’t just break a record.
he broke a psychological barrier.
and just 46 days later, someone else did it again.
after that, more and more runners started breaking the 4 minute mark.
the human body didn’t suddenly change.
the belief did.
sometimes the first person to do the “impossible” doesn’t just prove that it can be done.
he gives everyone else permission to believe they can do it too.

he didn’t just break the record.
he broke the belief that the record couldn’t be broken.

and honestly, i think this is what Abhijeet Dipke and CJP have done in India.
whatever happens from here, they’ve shown people that things which seemed impossible can actually be challenged.
i keep seeing people say that the government will finish these people as soon as elections are over or they are planted by someone else or these children can't do anything or whatever.
i genuinely don’t know what will happen.
but regardless of what happens politically, i think what they’ve managed to do psychologically is remarkable.
they gave people hope.
and once people start believing that change is possible, you can’t really put that genie back in the bottle.

personally very proud of Abhijit, Saurav, Ranka and everyone involved in CJP 🫡.

Why does chatgpt write essays in every answer??

I am fed up with chatgpt.

why doesn't it converse normally

I have tried some tricks I found online, but then it replies in 2 lines only, and becomes un-talkable-to.

any solution??😭

visited my school today

honestly had a weird little moment today

i’m 22M and went to my school today, not to meet anyone or anything, my younger brother studies there now so me and my father had some work in the CBSE cell
the last time i had been there was in class 10th
and bro… i don’t even know how to explain the feeling 😭

the school looked so different to me today. there’s a whole new building now, the whole place somehow felt HUGE, and i was just standing there thinking… damn, i actually studied in this massive school?? 😭😂
the playground was neatly trimmed, everything was so clean and well maintained, and it all just looked… bigger than i remembered
i didn’t meet most of the teachers i knew, but i saw a few of them around
and this is the part that kinda got me
the receptionist ma’am was there, and she looked old now. i remember seeing her all the time when i was a kid and now i’m looking at her thinking… wait, she’s gotten old

saw one of my class teachers too. she’s old now, walking a little bent. which is honestly crazy because i remember her very differently 😭
and yes, i absolutely hated her back then because she used to target me all the time 😂 but still… seeing her like that did something to me
then i saw one sir who used to tech me and bro has lost all his hair now 😭
saw another ma’am who used to travel in our school bus. never really talked to her, but i recognized her immediately… and she looked old too

and suddenly i had this weird realization
like… these people were just adults when i was a kid
and now i’m an adult too
the school is still there, the buildings are still there, the teachers are still there… but i’m not that kid anymore

i don’t think it was exactly nostalgia
it was more like this sudden feeling of
“damn… i actually grew up”
idk, maybe i’m just getting emotional for no reason 😭 but seeing my old school after all these years really made time feel real for a second
kinda weird feeling tbh
