my first tattoo. based on my chinese bazi (type of elemental astrology), I lack water element. I also liked the meaning of water in irezumi so wanted it to be the subject, even though i understand its typically used for background.

had Matt at Seventhson in SF do this for me.

This was right before the final touchup session.

im just a homeowner who knew nothing about bathrooms. I posted my question about grout/caulk last week. Well turns out not only did notwe fail inspection and GC forgot to schedule the drywall inspection process, after showing the pictures , purple drywall was used over shower areas and apparentyl thats not allowed. Hydroban membrane was used over the purple drywall.

Looks like the city wants to see some ESR rating to see if this configuration is even acceptable.

Please help me out as a clueless owner, was this done all wrong as the inspector said and best course of action is to gut it out and redo? or is this ESR thing really an acceptable solve? it isbecoming so stressful as it took over a month , thanks

I read online that where the tub meets the tile it should be silicone caulk, is this something that was done wrong and should be corrected? is there a reason why they did this? Ive only paid 50% . thanks

edit: its the same grout between the tiles (it was wet and looks dark when wet)

the GC left it like this after replacing the window. was going go up to touch up some paint and saw this gap. was this intentional or halfass work? thanks

Its clear my GC didnt do my raised unvented roof the right way.

I live in sf bay area close to the beach where its around 40-45 in winter and mid 50-65 other months, but always with high humidity. They added insulation on top of the roof deck where the TG ceiling is, with r30 batts (instead of rigid which I just recently learned this is correct way), then closed it with in this order:

12 inch raised to fit the r30 insulation
plywood
densdeck coverboard
TPO

I posted in the roofing sub and read a lot of convos from it being ok due to marine climate to its gonna rot in a couple of years.

im debating what recourse I can do. Either sealing all the seams inside with stretch caulk to further minimize air leaks, to adding a drywall ceiling with canned lights covering it to reduce more air leakage.

GC doesnt think this is an issue given the sf climate, but ive heard TG is not a good air barrier at all, and that warm 70F humid area can easilt go through that ceiling and insulation and then hit dew point under that 12 inch plywood and rot out.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks
