Taylor Sheridan Accused of Stealing ‘Yellowstone’ From 2016 Pitch in Copyright Lawsuit
In the court documents, obtained by Variety, Salkin alleges that she pitched her own sprawling Western drama, “Sovereign Nation,” to Sheridan’s management company, Elevate Entertainment, in 2016, only to be told: “Taylor thanks you very much for your interest. Unfortunately, he’s unavailable for TV projects.” The suit then claims that “Yellowstone” was greenlit at Paramount “within months” of her rejection.
“Sheridan, however, was not ‘unavailable for TV projects,’” the suit reads, “Instead, he and others used Salkin’s copyrighted works to develop Yellowstone. On June 20, 2018, Paramount Network aired its first episode.”
The lawsuit lists several “specific expressive choices” that “Yellowstone” allegedly lifted from Salkin’s “Sovereign Nation.” Those elements, the suit states, include “a tribal casino functioning as the institutional center of political and development power; a signature confrontation staged in the tribal chairman’s casino office over expansion beyond reservation boundaries; the use of trust land, the absence of zoning restrictions, and a 99-year lease structure as the concrete mechanism for that expansion; and recurring master-plan imagery deployed to dramatize the struggle for territorial control.”
Salkin’s lawyers also claim that she “proposed” Danny Huston and Gil Birmingham for “Sovereign Nation” in her pitch deck. Both were later cast in “Yellowstone” and played “materially parallel structural roles: Birmingham as the tribal political leader whose authority and development strategy run through the casino, and Huston as the outside development power broker who supplies the political or commercial path for that expansion.”
The suit later states, “When the works are objectively compared, the same coordinated design repeatedly appears: casino-centered institutions organize political power; the same unusual land-development mechanisms propel the conflict; parallel scenes perform the same dramatic functions; and the same actors appear in materially parallel roles. These are not merely convergences of a shared genre. Taken together with access and timing, they support a strong inference of copying.”

Down 200k on SpaceX, -35.52% on my Roth IRA for 112k, another 80k loss via options in my regular trading account
So my Roth IRA is down 25%, I went and made a few options trades in Robinhood that also went the other way. The first was a 150/160 call I placed a couple weeks ago, that current value is in the second screenshot (down 50k). I placed another 135/145 trade today which is down 30k.

Congress Declares New National Anthem
In an effort to increase civic pride, the Senate on Wednesday voted to approve changing the national anthem from "The Star-Spangled Banner" to the 1989 hit single by Technotronic "Pump Up The Jam". Polls had shown a steady decline in patriotism over the last few months, and the switch is expected to "pump up" national loyalty in all Americans. "We realized the previous anthem was a bit slow and overly stoic, so we wanted to give the American public something more fun and upbeat," explained Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), "and we were able to move this forward with amazing bi-partisan support and obviously a lot of enthusiasm." Even some who have criticized the switch have been unable to deny the appeal of the new anthem. Majority whip John Barrasso (R-WY) decried some of the lyrics as objectionable and "overly sexualized," but later admitted to listening to "Pump Up The Jam" repeatedly while exercising. "It's so catchy and energetic!" admitted the Wyoming Senator. The new anthem is slated for use at the start of the new NFL season, which begins Wednesday, September 9th.

THEY WILL NEVER stand up to this president. Ever. They still have time to do the right thing the TPS statuses will be removed and the deportations can begin next week. This is sickening.

"Deer Fatalities on the Rise as Deer Continue to Jaywalk
Deer deaths are on the rise as the animals continue to disregard the designated safe crossing areas. State officials have continued creating marked crossings for deer to use safely in heavily trafficked areas, but the animal continues to refuse to use them. This has lead to safety hazards for everyone on the road; drivers, motorcyclists, the deer themselves. Local city planners all over the country are at a loss of what to do, hoping to find a middle ground between the free will of deer, and road safety for all.
At a meeting held in Hamilton, MT, local Fish and Game and the Department of Transportation were discussing ways to let the deer know about crossings put in designated spots deemed safe for their travel to the other side of the road, as nothing has been working as of late.
"[The deer] aren't listening, they simply don't care about traffic laws or what's best for everyone. They just do their own thing with reckless abandon," the game warden said on the matter. "Maybe since they aren't listening to us, they will listen to each other better. We just have to find good leaders to be the example."
While it may sound crazy, a project has been in the works for selectively training deer to cross at the designated, marked areas, and only at these locations. Officials are hoping the other deer pick up this habit, and the death toll lowers.
Deer Claim CWD (Cars While Driving) Leading Cause of Fatalities
In the ongoing debate of how to handle the problem of vehicle related deaths of the animals, the deer are arguing that the sheer amount of deaths are unprecedented in their frequency, with one deer even stating:
"I blame cars while driving. This didn't used to be an issue at this level until about 30 years ago. Stop blaming us, if the cars weren't driving so fast this wouldn't be an issue. We used to roam wherever we pleased."
