There are two fictional Mary Anne & Dawn duos out there!

There is something that I've realized for quite a while that I've been waiting to share until now. Ever since I first got myself into The Babysitters Club franchise, I've known very well about the friendship between Mary Anne Spier and Dawn Schafer, but then I recently did research on a movie I've seen in theaters many years ago as a child that's called Strange Magic, and I just realized that the two sisters in that movie are very similar to The Babysitters Club characters.

The fairy with brunette hair and brown eyes is also named Marianne (except it's spelled differently than Mary Anne), and her younger sister, the fairy with blonde hair and blue eyes is also named Dawn.

Except, The Babysitters Club duo went from friends to stepsisters after they learned that Mary Anne's father, Richard Spier, and Dawn's mother, Sharon Schafer, used to date back in high school and they sort of push them back together, and Richard and Sharon eventually get married later on in the series, leading the two girls to become stepsisters, along with Dawn's little brother, Jeff Schafer, becoming Mary Anne's little stepbrother.

The Strange Magic duo on the other hand are fairy princess sisters by birth and who live with their father.

Babysitters Club Mary Anne is a shy, sensitive, empathetic, compassionate, and loving yet occasionally passive-aggressive girl who went from having braided pigtails to straight long hair to a short pixie cut, adores cats, and enjoys sewing, babysitting, classical movies, and adores sewing. She has had a boyfriend, Logan Bruno, for quite a long time in the series, but they broke up in a certain book due to him being too controlling, but then she gets back together with him five books later because she misses him so much, but then they break up for good in the Best Friends Forever spin-off.

Strange Magic Marianne is a brash, outspoken, snarky, and bad-tempered yet kind, loving, loyal, and somewhat romantic tomboy fairy princess who enjoys singing, flying, and swordfighting, and had a fiance, Roland, whom she loved so much until he cheated on her and saying a powerful song to, leading her to kick him out of the castle.

Babysitters Club Dawn is an easygoing, laid-back, chill, mature, idealistic, and outgoing yet occasionally bratty, judgemental, and self-righteous girl who enjoys surfing, babysitting, going to the beach, and caring for the environment, and she's not exactly much into fashion and romance, but there was a certain book where she had a crush on a guy and made herself look more fanciful to please him.

Strange Magic Dawn is a bubbly, giddy, kind, loving, compassionate, and empathetic fairy princess who is obsessed with boys, romance, parties, fashion, and weddings, who has been very supportive of Marianne's relationship with Roland until Marianne tells her that the wedding is off as she cries after learning Roland cheated on her.

Babysitters Club Mary Anne and Dawn have gotten along just fine as friends before and rarely ever argued, but they argue a little bit more as stepsisters.

Strange Magic Marianne and Dawn mostly get along just fine as sisters, yet they might occasionally argue over Marianne's fierce overprotectiveness and Dawn's boy-crazy, flirtatious nature.

Coincidence much? I think not!

Does anyone remember this (Vtech) Disney Princess: Magical Learn & Go Game?

I remember having this device when I was little and had a lot of fun with it back in those days. This game had three modes featuring Belle, Aurora, Snow White, and Cinderella:

Princess Explore

Where you press different letters to learn different words.

Princess Activities

Where you get to choose between four mingames to play:

  1. Shape Bridge: Where you need to help Chip find the correct shape for Belle.
  2. Puzzle Box: Where you need to help Aurora organize stuff in her boxes.
  3. The Royal Ball: Where you need to help Suzy dance in the same moves as Cinderella.
  4. Letter Bubbles: Where you help Snow White pop letter bubbles.

Be a Princess

Where you get to play all four activities altogether and then type your name and character design as a princess.

There is also a music icon where you get to listen to classical music and watch the princesses dance with their friends, and there is a letter icon where the princesses send you messages and you get to send messages back to them.

When you turn the device on, it shows Vtech animations of Belle, Aurora, Snow White, and Cinderella, and when you turn it off, it shows you a castle with fireworks at night as it says goodbye on the screen before shutting off completely as Aurora with the blue dress on the device glows up yellow.

Does anybody else remember playing this game growing up?

If the American Girl Historicals Lived in the Same Dollhouse Headcanons (Kirsten Larson)

If Kirsten lived in the same dollhouse as the historicals, she would be besties with Josefina, but she would also get along well with Samantha, Addy, Nellie, Emily, and Julie.

Her friendship with Molly would be a bit of a rocky start for some reason, but Samantha would find a way to help them be friends and warm up to each other.

She would be shocked when she meets Kaya for the first time and would probably mistake her for Singing Bird before Kaya corrects her on it.

Kirsten would remind Julie and Ivy of Laura Ingalls from their favorite show, Little House on the Prairie, and Kirsten would watch the show with them and see some certain traits of herself in Laura.

She, Elizabeth, and Caroline would teach each other new sewing tricks, and they would totally teach Felicity how to sew correctly too, even though Felicity would probably not that much into it as they are.

Kirsten and Addy would help Kit get chores done in the dollhouse, and they would both help her know how to cook as well.

Since Kirsten has trouble learning English at times, Addy and Samantha would help her learn English.

Is it okay to pray for people who passed away, or is it sinful?

When my dad passed away a couple of years ago, I used to cry and pray for him a lot, and I feel absolutely confident that he went to heaven, but then I've seen a few videos talking about how it's sinful to pray for people who passed away, because God's judgment is final on whether someone goes to hell or heaven. So this made me stop praying for my father, and I actually repented to Jesus, apologizing for that.

But honestly, is it true that it's sinful to pray for someone who passed away?
