I’m considering getting my first paid AI subscription and I’m currently deciding between Claude Pro, ChatGPT Plus, and Copilot Premium.

I would mainly use it on my Windows 11 PC for a mix of personal and work related tasks.
My main use cases would be:

-Gaming and troubleshooting game related issues.
-PC hardware, BIOS, drivers, configuration and troubleshooting
-AI and ComfyUI, especially creating and fixing workflows
-Coding and development
-Solving various technical problems
-Work and productivity
-Personal organization and everyday tasks
-Product research and buying advice
-General research and questions

One particularly important use case for me is ComfyUI. I’ve already tried Gemini and, at least in my experience, it was terrible for this.
It generated workflows that didn’t work, couldn’t properly troubleshoot the errors, and ultimately caused me to waste more time than it saved.

How well do they handle very long conversations without losing context or becoming repetitive?

If you currently use one of them, what do you use it for and why do you prefer it?

How restrictive are the limits in real world daily use?

If you could only keep one subscription, which one would you choose?

I’m looking for a good UPS for my gaming PC.
My main goal is to prevent unexpected shutdowns during power outages, especially while I’m working or during situations where losing power could cause problems, such as a Bios update.

My PC specs:
Ryzen 7 7700X
RTX 4080 Super
32 GB RAM
1000W 80+ Gold PSU corsair rm1000e
MSI 322URX 4K 240Hz monitor

I’m located in Italy, so ideally I’d like something that’s available to order and ship to Italy. I’d also prefer not to spend more than necessary if there’s a good option that meets my needs.

Currently, I have both my PC and monitor connected to a surge protected power strip.

I also have a few questions:
Roughly how much runtime would I have after a power outage to safely shut down the PC?

Is the VA rating enough to determine whether a UPS is suitable, or should I mainly look at its maximum wattage?

I’ve read that a UPS with a pure sine wave output is recommended.
What exactly does this change and is it important with a modern 1000W Gold PSU?

Could you please list a few specific models you would recommend for this setup?

I’m undervolting my Ryzen 7 7700X and I’d like some advice on how to get the best possible results while keeping good gaming performance.

At the moment I’m running:
Curve Optimizer: All Core Negative -20
Thermal Limit: 85
Gaming at 4K

Compared to stock settings, I’ve reduced temperatures and power consumption while gaining around 2–3 FPS in my games.

I also tried -30. Temperatures and power consumption dropped even further, but strangely I lose a few FPS compared to -20. I’m not sure why.

I also tried Ryzen Eco Mode, but I had to remove
those settings because I experienced boot failures.

What would you recommend trying next?
What settings are you running on your ryzen for gaming?

I’m looking for some advice on finding the sweet spot for undervolting my 4080 super.
I have an MSI Ventus and I game at 4K.

I’ve done some testing so far:
2700 MHz 945 mv: crashes.
2550 MHz 915 mv: seems stable so far.
Power consumption dropped significantly, to around 250 W or less, but I lose about 5–7 FPS in my games.

2700 MHz 960 mv: seems stable so far, but power consumption is higher.

I’m currently testing 2640 MHz 940 mv to see if I can find a better sweet spot for my 4080s.

Which undervolt would you recommend for my Gpu?

Would you recommend overclocking the memory as well, or is there a risk of damaging the Gpu?

If I get more crashes, would you recommend lowering the MHz or the voltage?

What undervolt are you running on your Gpu?

I’m currently running a Ryzen 7 7700X and I’m trying to find a good balance between performance, temperatures and power consumption.

My current settings are:
PBO Enabled
Curve Optimizer -20 all core
Thermal limit 85°C
So far, I haven’t had any crashes or stability issues.

I mainly use my PC for gaming at 4K and occasionally for Comfyui.
Would you recommend keeping my current settings, or would you change anything?

I’m looking to undervolt my RTX 4080 Super to reduce power consumption and temperatures without losing too much performance.

I’ve seen several users running undervolts around 2550–2750 MHz.
I tried 2700 MHz at 945 mV, but I experienced a crash in Crimson Desert, so that profile doesn’t seem to be stable for me.

I’m running a Ryzen 7 7700X and gaming at 4K.
My 4080S is an MSI Ventus.

What undervolt would you recommend as a starting point?

And what frequency/voltage are you running on your 4080 Super?

How do you usually test whether an undervolt is truly stable?

Hi, I’m testing CachyOS as a possible replacement for Windows, but I’m getting significantly lower FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 and Crimson Desert.

My specs:
RTX 4080 Super
Ryzen 7 7700X
32 GB RAM
CachyOS KDE / Wayland
4k 240hz monitor

In Cyberpunk with DLSS Performance + Path Tracing + DLSS Frame Generation:
Windows: ~96 FPS, mostly stable
CachyOS: ~73 FPS, dropping to around 40 FPS in heavy combat scenes

The GPU is around 98–99% usage on both systems and around 2700 MHz on Linux, so it doesn’t seem to be a simple GPU utilization or clock issue.

I’ve also tried Proton GE 11.1, Experimental and Proton-CachyOS, with basically the same results.
Crimson Desert shows a similar difference: around 90 FPS on Windows vs 66–70 FPS on CachyOS, dropping to around 50 FPS during combat.
Linux also shows lower GPU power consumption: around 268 W vs ~300 W on Windows in Cyberpunk.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Hi everyone, I’m new to Linux and I’d like to know if it’s possible to mod Cyberpunk 2077 to achieve essentially the same heavily modded visuals you see in YouTube videos running on Windows.

I’m talking about things like LUTs, visual overhauls, ReShade style effects, lighting mods, etc.
Is the modding process basically the same on Linux, or are there important differences or limitations?

Have any of you actually managed to replicate a heavily modded Windows setup on Linux and get essentially the same visual results?

Hi, I’m using the Ludusavi Playnite extension with automatic backups.
In Ludusavi I set:
Full backups: 3
Differential backups: 7
After several automatic backups of DOOM The Dark Ages, I still only see one backup in my backup location, which gets overwritten.
Should I expect to see multiple backup versions, or am I misunderstanding how Full/Diff retention works?

Also, should I enable override settings in the Playnite extension, or are the retention settings configured directly in Ludusavi enough?

I just got the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 and I’m setting it up with reWASD on Windows 11 Pro. I’m trying to find the best balance between low input latency and full access to the controller extra features.

Here’s what I’ve noticed so far:
Bluetooth: rewasd recognizes it properly as a Pro controller, giving me access to remapping and the extra controls.
2.4 GHz dongle / wired: it is detected as an Xbox 360 controller through XInput.

For those using the Ultimate 2 with rewasd:
Which connection and controller mode do you use for the best overall experience?

Do you notice any meaningful latency or polling rate difference between Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz and wired?

How do you handle the back paddles and extra buttons? Do you configure them through the 8BitDo software first, or map them directly with reWASD?

Are there any specific reWASD settings or configurations you recommend for the lowest possible input latency while keeping full remapping?

I’m looking for recommendations for 10× 120mm case fans.
My setup will be 6 intake and 4 exhaust.

My priorities are:
As quiet as possible
Good airflow and cooling performance
Low power consumption
Preferably white, but I’m open to other colours if there’s a better option
Good price to performance, I don’t want to spend a fortune on 10 fans

I’ve been looking at the Noctua NF-P12 redux and the Arctic P12 Pro PST White. Are these good choices, or is there something better you would recommend?

One important limitation: my motherboard has a maximum rating of 1A per CHA FAN header, so I’m also trying to keep the current draw per fan as low as reasonably possible.

I previously had an issue with a fan hub where I couldn’t control the fans with PWM and they would run at 100% all the time.
Has anyone experienced this with PWM hubs?

I’m also considering the Arctic PWM Fan Hub for all 10 fans. Would you recommend it, and does it work reliably with PWM control?

What fans are you using in your own PC, and what would you recommend for a 10 fan setup like mine?

I tried LoreRim and really liked how it looks, but it’s too complicated for me.
I noticed there’s a lighter version called NGVO.
What do you think about it?

I’m currently using Google drive 200gb, but I’m starting to run out of space. I’m trying to decide whether I should simply upgrade my Google Drive plan or move to another provider such as Mega.

I use it on PC and iPhone, On Windows I access my cloud either as a mounted drive or through rclone.
I mainly use it for Photos, Videos and Game save backups.

I already own Fallout 4 on Steam and I have a stable Vortex modlist that works well.

The only thing that keeps bothering me is Steam updates. Even after downgrading the game and trying to prevent updates, Steam keeps reminding me that an update is available, and I know that if I accidentally update, I’ll have to downgrade everything again.

I’ve seen several people recommend buying the GOG version instead because you can keep a specific version forever and completely avoid automatic updates.
For those who have switched:

Was it worth buying Fallout 4 again on GOG just for modding?

If possible, I’d like to reuse my current Vortex modlist on the GOG version without downloading and rebuilding everything from scratch?

Overall, do you think GOG is the better long-term choice for heavily modded Fallout 4?
