I need 10 fans. What would you buy?

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for recommendations for 10× 120mm case fans.
My setup will be 6 intake and 4 exhaust.

My priorities are:
As quiet as possible
Good airflow and cooling performance
Low power consumption
Preferably white, but I’m open to other colours if there’s a better option
Good price to performance, I don’t want to spend a fortune on 10 fans

I’ve been looking at the Noctua NF-P12 redux and the Arctic P12 Pro PST White. Are these good choices, or is there something better you would recommend?

One important limitation: my motherboard has a maximum rating of 1A per CHA FAN header, so I’m also trying to keep the current draw per fan as low as reasonably possible.

I previously had an issue with a fan hub where I couldn’t control the fans with PWM and they would run at 100% all the time.
Has anyone experienced this with PWM hubs?

I’m also considering the Arctic PWM Fan Hub for all 10 fans. Would you recommend it, and does it work reliably with PWM control?

What fans are you using in your own PC, and what would you recommend for a 10 fan setup like mine?
Thanks

Elite Series 2 rubber grips peeling off, Shell replacement recommendations?

Hi everyone,
the rubber grip on my Elite 2 is starting to peel off...
I was thinking about gluing it, but I'm afraid of damaging the controller.
Can you recommend any complete kits to replace the controller shell?

Is it easy to change the shell and buttons?
Thanks

Stable Skyrim Modlist for a Beginner?

Hi everyone,
Could you recommend a stable Skyrim modlist that isn’t too large, isn’t in beta, and still allows some customization?
My main concern is crashes and overall stability.
My setup: 4080s, 7700x, 32gb RAM, 4k 240hz monitor.

I tried LoreRim and really liked how it looks, but it’s too complicated for me.
I noticed there’s a lighter version called NGVO.
What do you think about it?

I’ve also been looking at KirbyKings modlists, specifically the NSFW version and the Lite version.
Has anyone here tried them?

What I’m mainly looking for is:
Stability
Good graphics
Armors
OStim support
Some freedom to add a few mods of my own.

I’m not really interested in huge gameplay overhauls or completely changing Skyrim.
I mainly want a stable and good looking base that I can customize a little without constantly worrying about crashes.
Thanks

Should I stay with Google Drive or switch to MEGA?

Hi everyone,
I’m currently using Google drive 200gb, but I’m starting to run out of space. I’m trying to decide whether I should simply upgrade my Google Drive plan or move to another provider such as Mega.

I use it on PC and iPhone, On Windows I access my cloud either as a mounted drive or through rclone.
I mainly use it for Photos, Videos and Game save backups.

For those of you who have experience with Google Drive, MEGA, or other cloud providers, which one would you recommend for my setup and why?
Thanks

Should I Switch to Windows LTSC?

Hi,
I just discovered the Windows LTSC version and would like to install it to replace my Windows 11 Pro.
I have a few questions:

Is it safe to download from Massgrave?

Is the LTSC IoT 24H2 version available in Italian, or only in English?
Is there a way to change the language?

Have you encountered any bugs or anomalies in the LTSC version?

For gaming, is the LTSC version recommended, or is it better to stick with Pro?

Is O&O ShutUp10 useful on the LTSC version, or is it unnecessary?
Thanks

Bitdefender vs Kaspersky?

Hi everyone.
Which antivirus do you recommend between Bitdefender and Kaspersky?
(I'm in Italy; Kaspersky is available here)

What are the differences between the Standard versions of both?
Which one is better in terms of PC performance, virus detection, and false positives?

Do you think it's worth paying for an antivirus?
Many say that Windows Defender and uBlock already do enough.
What do you think?

A while ago I got hit by an infostealer; today I'm much more cautious when browsing the web, but that past experience made me a bit paranoid.
Thanks.

[Fo4] Is Fallout 4 GOG worth it for heavily modded players?

Hi everyone.
I already own Fallout 4 on Steam and I have a stable Vortex modlist that works well.

The only thing that keeps bothering me is Steam updates. Even after downgrading the game and trying to prevent updates, Steam keeps reminding me that an update is available, and I know that if I accidentally update, I’ll have to downgrade everything again.

I’ve seen several people recommend buying the GOG version instead because you can keep a specific version forever and completely avoid automatic updates.
For those who have switched:

Was it worth buying Fallout 4 again on GOG just for modding?

If possible, I’d like to reuse my current Vortex modlist on the GOG version without downloading and rebuilding everything from scratch?

Overall, do you think GOG is the better long-term choice for heavily modded Fallout 4?
Thanks!

Vertical tearing in game on CachyOS

Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing vertical screen tearing in Resident Evil Requiem on CachyOS and I’m trying to understand what could be causing it.

My setup:
RTX 4080 Super
Heroic Launcher
Fsync active
Proton enable Wayland enabled
Proton upgrade dlss enabled
Game mode active

The game runs well overall, but I occasionally get noticeable vertical tearing.
Has anyone experienced the same issue on CachyOS?
Is there any specific setting I should check?
Thanks

Cachyos: avoiding AUR, update stability and Flatpak

Hi,
I am using Cachyos and I am finding it very good,
However, there are still some things I haven't figured out...

I read that the AUR has been infected again.
How can I completely avoid the AUR?
I disabled the AUR in shelly and currently I only download via Pacman or Flatpak.
Is this fine, or is there anything else to avoid?

Is it true that CachyOS tends to break easily with updates?

I am using Flatpak, but I can't quite figure out how it works.
I understand it isolates the program from the system, but I don't really get how to manage permissions.
OpenRGB asks for udev dependencies, I installed them but it keeps saying they are missing; same problem for Fan Control.
JDownloader cannot find the links I paste.
Flatseal didn't help me with permissions in this case.
Thanks

How to fix Translucent Windows breaking apps

Hi, I'm using Windhawk; I like it, but I'm running into some issues.

Translucent Windows makes certain apps unusable, for example, Afterburner...
How can I fix this?
Is there a way to include only Explorer?

Also, with File Explorer Styler, the toolbar disappears completely.
Meanwhile, if I disable it, there's no way to make it transparent along with the Translucent theme.
Do you know if there's a solution?
Thanks

Is Amethyst a good alternative to Vortex for Skyrim and Fallout?

Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me if Amethyst is a solid replacement for Vortex or MO2?
How does it handle massive modlists for Skyrim and Fallout?
Have you run into any crashes or other stability issues with it?
Thanks

Windows Explorer transparency issue

Hi everyone,
I’m using Windhawk and really liking it so far, but I ran into a minor issue.
When making Windows File Explorer transparent, the top toolbar disappears along with some text elements.
How can I fix this?
Also, if I have two user accounts on the PC, do I need to configure it on both accounts, or is setting it up on the main one enough?
Thanks

LACT GPU undervolting curve

Hi, I’m using LACT on CachyOS.
I’m trying to undervolt my RTX 4080 Super, but I can't figure out how to flatten the curve.
On Afterburner I run 2700 MHz at 945 mV, but Shift + Enter doesn't work here like it does on Windows.
how can I flatten the curve in LACT?

Also, can I use LACT to manage case fans like FanControl, or is there another tool for that?
Thanks

Pragmata performance issues and heavy stuttering on CachyOS

Hi, I downloaded Pragmata and I'm launching it through Heroic.
Everything works fine except for the game itself, which suffers from severe stuttering and pretty poor performance for an 4080 Super...
CPU 7700x and 32gb RAM.
I tried adding various launch options and environment variables as recommended.
Now Ray tracing is activated, but performance remains bad whether it's turned on or off.
I'm using Proton GE / latest CachyOS Proton.
Thanks

How to permanently disable RAM RGB without background software?

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if there's a way to completely turn off RAM RGB?
Right now, I'm using software at boot to disable it, but I’d really like to find a way to keep it off without having any RGB programs running in the background.
I already tried disabling Asus Aura in the BIOS, but it didn't work.
Since I run a dual boot setup with Windows and Linux, I ideally need a solution that works for both systems.
Thanks

First time on CachyOS, Looking for tips and app recommendations

Hi everyone,
I just switched to CachyOS and I have to say I'm really liking it so far. This is actually my very first Linux experience.
My setup is an Nvidia RTX 4080 Super and a Ryzen 7 7700X.

What initial tweaks, settings, and must have apps would you recommend for a beginner?

How should I manage Nvidia drivers here on Linux without GeForce Experience?

I'm open to any advice! In the meantime, I'm just exploring and experimenting.
Thanks
