Can't hear the metronome
I literally can't play to a metronome. I cant hear it because my drums drown it out, but then I have to turn it up so loud I get hearing damage. DING DING DING DING.
How do people rectify this?

I was watching an interview with Claudio where he says the big muff is his favorite distortion pedal, but that pedal doesnt work at all for Coheed tones
Anybody else notice that?
Edit: Why y'all downvoting my comments? Lol
Anybody know what they used as far as compression, mixing board, etc....
That bass is unreal
When I export my video out of OBS, 1 minute is about 30mb
When I bring that video into Reaper and add audio to it, it becomes like 400mb and also reduces the quality of the video
I'm using MKV format, MJPEG encoder @ 95%, 1920x1080 30fps
I dont know why OBS does such a good job of rendering video at a small size but Reaper can't?
Anybody else think the vocals are mixed a bit too loud in relation to the instruments?
The Sciences is a great sounding record but I wish the vocals were a little lower in the mix
I watch a lot of album rankings videos and they mostly just follow the RYM ratings. Probably because they just want people to like their video. Real fans of bands aren't like that. I know a 60+ year old Rolling Stones fan whose favorite stones album is Dirty Work, which is one of the worst rated Stones album. But its his favorite because it came out during a great time in his life, and thats how he remembers it. It's a weird take but its more interesting that someone who just says "Exile" or "Sticky Fingers"
I actually started that conversation by saying "Whats your favorite Stones album? Exile?" and he looked at me like I was crazy and was like "No way! Gotta be Dirty Work"
What do yall think about that?
I know a lot of their song ideas start with Brent or Bill or even Brann riffs on guitar.
Anybody know if any songs are riffs started by Troy?
Is it just me or Dax is pretty lifeless on stage?
Hey which band do yall think is better Converge or Dillinger Escape plan? In your opinion
Forever going 35 in the 45's even in low traffic conditions
Dont yall have anything you want to do with your day
I work as a vendor but am thinking about going to work for a store because im getting older and dont want to do 50+ hours a week of physical labor anymore.
Because I work as a vendor I get insight into how many different stores run and from what I can see, stores are employing minimally. This means if you work in a department (meat, produce, etc), you are doing a lot of work every single day. Because working in a grocery store is sort of like delivering mail, it never stops. So the less help you have, the more work you need to do or you get buried. I see the size of the pallets these frozen food guys are pulling out of freezers is insane. I see meat department managers complaining about having to break down the deliveries themselves because they have no help. I see night crew managers throwing freight overtime to get loads completed because they have no crew. It goes on and on.
I feel like cashiers/front end dont have to deal with much of this. Yes, it sucks having to deal with customers, but that's all they have to do is check people out. They don't have multiple pallet loads bearing down on them every single day with minimal help to work it. The physical aspect of the job is far more bearable in the front end. I understand front end pays a bit less, but is a few bucks more an hour worth the physical toll?
What do yall think? For someone older (40+) looking to go back to store work what is the best department to get into?
That's crazy right? This just popped up in my feed. Check out those backing vocals! 14!
Has anybody put one of these together before?
Not sure what updates Motorola rolled out but my phone is just garbage now. I get that it is a budget phone but it was working fine, now it is slower than shit when trying to do anything. Even restarting the phone is a process where I have to wait forever, then unlock into my phone, and then wait forever again while it sets everything up. It honestly feels like some heavy ass spyware running on my phone and I dont even use it for shit.
I have a problem with those phone where when I have the shot framed, I snap the photo, for a split second it looks exactly as it should, but then the phone basically alters the image to look for worse. It throws the focus and colors off. Its like its taking two pictures, and discarding the first one (the one I framed) and taking a second one a split second later with focus and colors looking different.
Its like some kind of built in auto processing or something. Does anybody else have this issue? Moto 5G
I tried switching to Pro mode, which should disable all auto processing, but the camera is super aggy in that setting.
It feels like the phone is trying to do too much.
My buddy and I are talking about starting a doomy sludgy band
From what Ive heard, it seems like single pedal will work for the vast majority of beats, but a lot of fills seem to use double kick, which I wont be able to do with a single pedal
What do yall think about playing doom/sludge with a single pedal?
Y'all ever listened to Candlemass before?
Not sure how clear it is but due to space constraints I have my drums on the platform and my stool isn't. So to compensate I add a few inches of height to my stool to bring it up to the height I need while my feet are in playing position on the platform. I don't feel anything weird but figured I'd see what others think.
Every few days a new album drops on this YouTube channel. It's either someone superhumanly prolific, reposting other peoples work, or AI generated?
How close in sound are these cymbals? I had been interested in the Meinl's but recently learned about the Zultan. They appear to be better bang for the buck being lower price as well as B20 vs B12 for the Meinl.
