starting to taste spicier?

Im one of those people who has always thought sriracha hasnt been the same since the shortage. Ive been feeling that it's been way less flavorful and has wayyyy less heat which was very disappointing.

I got my new batch today and realized it actually has some spice??? I love it & this is what I've been missing from huy fong and I'm glad it's coming back.

am I crazy? or has anyone noticed this?

"application processed" but no contact

Hi, I applied for a seasonal temporary job & my status just changed to "application processed" yesterday on government jobs, but have not received anything like email or a phone call.

Should I move on? Does this mean anything?

WIBTA if I don't give up my inheritance?

Hi all, Im in my mid twenties and feel like Im in a complicated situation. None of my friends around my age have been through this, so I'd appreciate some advice.

My mom passed away a few years ago, and my grandfather passed about a month ago. He didn't leave a will, so his estate was automatically split between family members. (NOT from US, from South Korea)

Since my mom passed before my grandfather, my dad and I inherited her share. Now my mom's siblings are asking us to give that money up to my grandma.

Before my mom passed away, she'd borrowed a decent amount of money from her family (mostly grandpa I think) and wasn't able to pay it back. After her death, her siblings approached my dad about it during the funeral, and he kinda told them it wasn't his problem since he wasn't the one who borrowed the money. They cut us off after that, and we hadn't spoken in years.

Then my dad got a message from my aunt asking his and my signature to give up our portion of the inheritance & that's how we found out my grandpa died...

Apparently he passed away a month ago, so around May & we had no idea and missed the funeral. The only reason why they reached out was because they needed us to sign the paper saying that we'll give our inheritance to our grandma. I don't even know how much inheritance/debt he had tbh.. they didn't send us any document or anything.. just asked for a signature.

At first I was going to sign the paper since my mom owed them money & it was for my grandma. Then when I asked for my friend's advice, she told me to take the inheritance since I was not the one who borrowed the money, and she feels like they'll exclude us with inheritance by making grandma sign a will.

I don't know what to do I have no idea what the right thing is & I've never been in this situation and I'd really appreciate your advice.

Possibility of getting funded phd for arts as an international student?

Hi, my friend is interested in coming to the States for phd in fine arts (funded). Is there anyone who did phd in fine arts as an international student? or how likely would she able to come to US for phd? would she be able to get EB upon graduating?

What was the most unhinged travel plan you've heard from tourists?

When my friends from overseas came to LA, they wanted me to drive (since I'm the only one with the car) to Grand Canyon and come back within 1-2 days (including traveling). I told them fuck no.

What was the most unhinged travel plan you've heard?

i just threw up eating spicy food

I'm so traumatized...

I thought I was alright at eating spicy food. Nothing insanely crazy obviously, but decent at it & I enjoy it. I can deal with serrano / habanero / thai pepper etc..

Just ordered dave's new mozzarella & ordered it reaper since it's been awhile since i ordered reaper

o boy that thing was just straight up not even enjoyable.. didnt wanna waste food so I took 2 bites but I couldnt eat after that

made me lose all my appetite bc it was so spicy and 30 mins after, I threw up :/

I thought my stomach ruptured or something.. I felt miserable it was so bad.. man that was not a fun experience

no more for me
