Vegan violin

I Wanted to learn violin, but when I started looking to buy violin, I found that it’s very expensive to get a vegan violin even in 2026. I Found a vegan
Violin maker but he was in Europe and he was a very professional guy who is charging about £8000 for making the violin which is very expensive. How should we as vegans deal with this when there are simply no alternatives to some of the products we use. Other examples are the cricket balls and tennis rackets.

Coal is dirtier than you think

https://ember-energy.org/latest-insights/coal-is-dirtier-than-you-think/

This is a very beautifully designed webpage. It explains methane emissions from coal mining with very simple, clear visuals. Looking at this data completely shocked me.

Some figures from the link:

  1. Methane is known as a short-lived climate pollutant. It remains in the atmosphere for only about two decades, but during that time, its impact is extremely high due to its heat-trapping ability.
  2. More than half of global methane emissions from coal mines could be reduced using existing technologies. The biggest gains could come from controlling emissions from highly polluting mines, either by shutting them down or by properly managing their emissions.

Read point number 5 again: ‘More than half of global methane emissions from coal mines could be reduced using existing technologies.’ We should make this an electoral issue. We should demand action from our leaders. If there are any metallurgy students or engineers in here, please share your thoughts on this post.
