I’ve been watching the later season episodes as they’ve been uploaded to youtube (I’m so glad the full episodes are back) and I noticed that once the B Team got fired the producers seemingly started forcing Jamie to be much more animated than he was before

He’s still definitely a counterbalance to Adam and much calmer, but it feels like they made him perform much more “excitedly” if that makes sense

My guess is that they thought that would help fix the gap left by the more “goofing off” thing that the B Team had going on a lot of the time?

When the donut is fresh it makes it a sickeningly sweet sludge fest that tastes like I’m eating sugar glue and I immediately need to wash my hands because a napkin is just going to get stuck to them

When it’s not fresh it creates a hardened layer of cement around the donut that makes me feel like I’m eating sugary gravel with a little bit of bread in it

I don’t need a little alarm in my mouth that is yelling “HEY! THE THING YOU ARE EATING IS SWEET!! IT TASTES SWEET!!! YOU ARE EATING A SWEET THING!!!”

I would gladly eat 5-6 unglazed donuts for every one or two glazed donuts I eat, the main appeal of the donut to me is the milder flavor compared to other sweets like chocolate or cookies, so WHY, are you COVERING IT, in a GOOPY SUGAR SAUCE, to make it the SWEETEST THING ON THE PLANET

I’m sorry if this doesn’t fit here I’m just really fucking bummed about this and I feel like this community would get me

I posted to another community earlier with a clip from a show, and I added a content warning that one of the characters says the r word a couple times - it was the humor of the time, unfortunate but what can you do

The post within minutes got downvoted to oblivion and people started spamming reaction images and making fun of me like I had said “Content warning: Spaghetti” or something

It immediately reignited memories of when I was a kid and people would call me that word because when I was on the playground I was more interested in trying to find the most unique wood chips than having someone tackle me as part of some stupid game

It was really such a deeply cutting gut punch, I knew that it was getting renormalized, but I didn’t realize we were at the point of people actively getting mad at you for saying “Hey there’s a sensitive word in this if you don’t wanna hear it that’s fine”

I feel ill

Honestly with how much he loves yapping about boxart it feels weird he never really touches on it

To me the boxart and discard are two sides of the same coin, they can sometimes be literally the exact same thing but when they’re not they’re often really interesting to me

N64 cartridges are also interesting in the same way the vast majority of them have wholly unique cartridge art

One of the big things I kinda dislike aesthetically about the switch systems are how most of the game cards are just the game logo and nothing else, the DS and 3DS carts have the same issue to a lesser extent

As a fellow “Lover of everything about video games with the games themselves being roughly number 5 on the priority list” it’s really weird to me he doesn’t seem to talk about the discs like ever

I think he mentioned once the weird split the Wii discs have where early on they started off aesthetically like jumbo GameCube discs but by the end of the system’s life they were more traditional looking but that’s all I remember

I know AI images are already banned but like 1 in 4 things I see posted lately are screenshots of ChatGPT or Google AI and I’m tired of it

So I’m a physical game collector and a big fan of Touhou

I want to have every Touhou game in my collection and as I’m sure most of you know there are 5 Touhou games exclusive to the PC-98

These games are INSANELY expensive, like… genuinely contenders for the most expensive games ever from the handful of times I’ve seen them sold online, sometimes going for over $5k

As much as I love Touhou, I do not want to spend that much 5 times over on the games

However I still want them to be in my collection, so I want to try to create physical reproductions of them

The problem I’m having is that I can’t seem to find proper info on what the PC-98 uses and how difficult it is to do this kinda thing on it

Is it as simple as writing the roms to a floppy disk? Or do I need special equipment for it?

I’m getting a friend to force me to get on call with them and not be allowed to yap about anything until I’ve applied to at least 5 jobs

I wanted to be gone by June but a bunch of shit happened and I’m now still stuck here

I’ve been in a constant cycle of finally getting ready then having something happen then I’m not ready anymore

I can’t keep letting that happen

So far the “Marios” have been Red and Yellow and the “Luigis” have been Green and Purple

Red and Yellow are Warm colors, Green and Purple are Cool colors, so the third set would have the Mario be Orange and the Luigi be Blue, right?

Well…. Red and Yellow are also primary colors, with Green and Purple being their respective complimentary secondary colors, so that would indicate that the third Mario would be Blue and the third Luigi would be Orange

This bothers me far more than it should

I’ve noticed lately that ever since the discourse the other day every single post regardless of subject matter (but especially if related to trans women) has been getting mega downvoted

So I have a lot of stuff I need to get diagnosed but among them is adhd

I’ve been at least 90% positive I have adhd since I was like 12

Well you see here’s the issue… when I was ~14 my girlfriend at the time was getting so overwhelmed by my mental stuff that she called my dad and begged him to take me to a therapist, he is one of those “Mental health isn’t real it’s just the devil working against you and you have to fight him” types, but he reluctantly agreed

The facility he took me to was one for juvenile delinquents specifically, and one that could not help me whatsoever, to the point that when I was rambling on and on about this girlfriend not one of the 4 individuals I spoke to there once even thought that maybe this is an unhealthy relationship when it was the only thing I could talk about and think about despite having been with her for 2 years at that point

So naturally when I mentioned I might have adhd, the “therapist” said I probably didn’t, when I said I wanted to be tested anyway, she had my parents and my teachers

My 2 step parents had the same views on mental health as my dad

I had made it clear my parents weren’t trustworthy with this kind of thing

So when the papers came back she said that it was an even 50/50 split between the parents and the teachers and therefore she could not diagnose me with adhd

First off, maybe ask me to fill it out and not a bunch of other people?

Second off, I’ve told you my parents don’t believe in this stuff why are you trusting them over me

Anyway it’s been about 4 years since all of that, and I’m getting ready to move out, and once I do I plan to go in for a full psychiatric evaluation alongside specialized ones for the things I’ve suspected for a long time, but I’m concerned that this whole ordeal of me being distinctly marked “Not diagnosed with adhd” will make things harder for me

Things like autism and such I’m not worried about because there isn’t any previous paperwork about it, but adhd distinctly has “Not diagnosed” somewhere and it makes me nervous that it’ll make it harder to get diagnosed

I was in a restaurant with a bar and some guy started being an ass to me trying to get a rise out of me and I just kind of froze and didn’t react and eventually he escalated to punching me and knocking me down into the floor and a bunch of other people started laughing at me and then a cute girl came up and started yelling at him and then she grabbed me and dragged me away to a table and asked if I was alright, I asked via the notes app on my phone if I could use it for a bit and we chatted that way and eventually we agreed to go to the park together the next weekend :3

We have decided for the sake of transparency to make a list of websites that we do not allow links to in this subreddit

This is rarely an issue but we have had to remove posts of this nature a few times, and we want to be as upfront as possible with you all

So far we have Twitter and The Babylon Bee banned, and we are leaning towards banning all Meta apps (so threads insta fb etc, though this isn’t decided yet, there is seemingly a perfect split between the mods)

We are doing this in an effort to reduce traffic to harmful individuals, we know that it will not stop things, but we want to reduce it

We also still have a ban on anything to do with A.I., so that would be included in this as well

We are trying to make this community a safe one, and while again it likely won’t effect much, we want to know what other websites should be on the blacklist.

ETA: Seemingly the consensus is the former bird app and far right news organizations, I will discuss with the other mods and then we will add a new rule. Thank you to the handful who were respectful about it I did not expect this post to bring so much negative emotions to the forefront

This has been going on for almost 2 years at this point throughout updates to both the phone (currently ios 26.6.0 on an iPhone 13) and the app (currently 1.2026.33101)

They usually will turn invisible for a bit when I close the app and then come back after a few days, it only happens when adding a lot of images at once

No issues with loading the file, no issues with loading older images within the file, and on all other devices (both my own and friends’) it shows up perfectly normal, even when adding images in the exact same way but on other platforms it functions perfectly normally

It happens completely independently of the type of image or the file sizes of the images, I’ve seen it happen with jpegs, webps, and pngs, and at a range of 5kb-1mb

The only consistent things are that there are a lot of images added at once (I’ve seen it start everywhere from 20 images to not until 600 images), and that it only ever seems to happen on this phone

I hope this is enough info to figure things out
