Location: upstate New York

Our small three-unit building in upstate NY has six--SIX--cameras on the 8'x10' front porch watching the street and two entrances to our apartments. They can see into the both apartments when the doors are opened. Four of them can see into the apartment windows in the unit below, and all have audio recording. There is another camera in the locked laundry room in the basement so they can watch and listen to us doing laundry.

The landlord (paranoid cop who lives in another state), and creepy boot licking maintenance guy are monitoring them 24/7 because they have referenced conversations and phones calls I've had inside my apartment. They talked to us about groceries and stuff we've brought in and out of our apartments. There is another camera with audio recording outside of my bathroom window (pointed away from the window, but the microphone isn't directional).

It's creepy to the n^th degree.

I asked the landlord to disable the audio as a compromise. He told me not to talk within the range of the cameras if I don't want him to hear anything

They need someone other than that weirdo Howard Manges mentoring these kids. The awkward, out of places hand gestures are so distracting. Yech!
