But if Ritalin is only a re-uptake inhibitor, while Adderall already did that plus introduced more dopamine, then what are my chances that this switch will work? Isn't this like a downgrade?

Doctor said Vyvanse is like Adderall XR so the switch to Ritalin would be better. What should I expect?

Post I've been meaning to make & inspired by the other dentist thread to finally make it now...

I didn't floss my teeth for decades. Every dental cleaning appointment was a 1/2 hour of tartar-scraping hell.

My bottom teeth are "tight" so flossing was especially time consuming and not fun.

One day, for some reason unbeknownst to me, I flossed. I had bought an off-brand floss off Amazon that advertised as "thinner" than regular floss so I figured I'd give it a go. I'm sure I am ingesting carcinogenic microplastics but hey, at least I'm flossing.

And the most amazing thing happened: I became hyperfixated on the little bits of food I found hiding along my gumline. I couldn't believe all the stuff I got out that I couldn't see in the mirror when just brushing. Now at night, when I'm too tired to brush or floss, I look closely at my gumline and in between my teeth and will notice something that looks like a tiny bit of food and get to work and find so much other crap between multiple teeth.

It has become so satisfying to find this stuff and getting it out that even when I don't feel like doing it when I'm exhausted right before bed, I actually get in that hyperfixation frame of mind and get to work on those bits of food.
