Absolute masterclass by Brandon McNulty, he took a risk, timed it to perfection, banked on all the biggest names watching each other, and time trialled like a beast for, what 30km? Totally deserved. What a ride!

VdP is just absolutely phenomenal and absolutely fearless.

Michael Matthews is so underrated for how consistently he's finished at the sharp end of the worlds over the years.

Seixas' performance was absolutely incredible considering how much development he has in him. I can see him being a hilly classic powerhouse for a long time, alongside GTs.

Matteo Jorgenson did an incredible ride, particularly for such a big rider on a brutal course. Incredible teamate. This victory is his as much as McNulty's!

At various points, at least Van Aert, Healy, van der Poel, Roglic and Remco were dropped and kept fighting their way back onto the wheels.

I have enormous sympathy for Pogi, both because his crash was horrible and because he must be incredibly frustrated not to be there, but nobody will convince me that the race wasn't tenfold more exiting result. Every time I thought the race was over, it came back together and exploded again. One for the ages.
