Wishing for an improved first party output for next gen

Back in the PS3 days, Sony had something for everyone. You had Uncharted, Killzone, The Last of Us, God of War but alongside that they released games modern Sony would no longer do. LittleBigPlanet, Motorstorm, ModNation Racers, Wipeout, Buzz, echochrome, Super Rub a Dub, Everybody’s Golf etc.

They also had PlayStation Home which was one of Sony’s greatest live services. Nowadays their definition of live service is soulless trash shooters like Concord. And their output has really slowed down to almost one or two cinematic single player games a year and nothing else.

Can we please get more variety in the upcoming generation like the good old days and end the trend chasing of live service?

Next day pickup, but Sunday for home delivery??

Literally everything shows Sunday as the earliest possible day for home delivery despite having Prime, but if I choose pickup then it arrives the next day, how does this make any sense?

Vodafone significantly degraded

I used to get good 5G signal (funnily enough only in my house, it’s 4G only everywhere else) with more than 200 Mbps speeds. But since late last month the service has significantly degraded to such abysmal speeds. It’s also on 4G now most of the time.

The network checker used to show a whole patch of green for 5G but that’s now been reduced to a small patch of red with some areas that showed 5G before now showing no coverage at all.

What are they doing over there?

Adult Swim at 3pm?!

I’ve been visiting San Francisco this week and have been browsing around the hotel TV channels including CN but am shocked to see Adult Swim airing so early in the day! Surely this can’t be right?

eSIM query

Hi, I'm travelling to the US tomorrow to attend the upcoming Apple event. So will be landing at San Francisco. I've been looking at eSIMs and came across Tello which seems to be the best fit for me.

Is it better to wait until I reach the airport to purchase and activate it? As I'm assuming it won't install properly if I do it outside the country.

Has Sony forgotten how to make games that are not one of these two categories?

It’s always either:

- A single player cinematic story
- A live service shooter

They will remaster Last of Us and Horizon thousands of times since they’re cinematic but will never touch IPs like Sly and LittleBigPlanet.

Yes the single player games may be good but we want more variety like in the Sony Computer Entertainment days…

RIP Sony

All they know nowadays is linear cinematic movie games, live service shooters and nothing else.

Bring back Sony Computer Entertainment

Worse RSSI but more stable?!

My WiFi router was previously on a channel where the Ring would get -72 RSSI but the video streaming would be extremely poor, dropping as low as 0.1 Mbps. I rebooted my router which picked a new channel and even though the Ring app complains about the RSSI being -80, it’s somehow way more stable! Now the video stream can reach as high as 13 Mbps bitrate.

My guess is the previous channel was too congested despite the better RSSI value?

What can I do to improve this?

For the past 3 years, I have been mostly getting only 5 - 10 downloads per day and everything I’ve tried so far to improve this has not worked. Additionally, my social media posts barely get any views. I’ve only been successful promoting it on Reddit and it also got featured on 9to5Mac and a popular YouTube channel but they just cause temporary spikes. The 9to5Mac feature increased my downloads and proceeds to unprecedented levels but few days later has dropped down to the usual 5 - 10 a day. I also only get about one in app purchase every 2 days.

The app itself has been rated really positively so it’s mainly a matter of trying to get more users.

I’ve seen competitors boasting about their stats which are like 10x better than mine but the apps themselves are lacking in some aspects e.g. no iPad and Mac support.

Frankly I’m not very good in marketing and would like some advice in what I can do to get better consistent results, ideally organically.
