Strange problem when charging Apple Watch with Ugreen 65W power brick

My Apple Watch is cycling between charging and not charging continuously when connected to my Ugreen 65W brick via usb-c. At the start of the video an usb-c to usb-c cable is also connected to my iPad and a Usb-a to lightning is not connected to anything. It only stops cycling when I disconnect and reconnect the apple watch cable. Why?

Beats Fit Pro not charging to 100%

I bought these Beats Fit Pro from CeX in excellent condition, but they were completely discharged. I can see they are under the official warranty till the 6th November so they are less than a year old. I can also see they were sold to CeX on 7 July so at most they’ve been flat for a month.
I charged them when I got home and both case and headphones charged and showed 100%. I used them for a couple of days with no problems. Today I’ve just checked the charge status and I noticed they are on 93% (despite having been in the case all night). I have owned an identical model and I had never seen this. Does anyone have any insight?

About to buy Airpods from Cex, how do I know they’re genuine?

How do I know they’re genuine and how did they know they were genuine when they acquired them?

Shipping small personal items from UK to Spain and tariffs

I just arrived in Spain and realised I forgot to carry my wireless headphones, a book and my retainer. I thought of having a friend pick this stuff from my house and dropping it at a post office. The cost of shipping was about £10, but when I started declaring the items one by one I was hit with at least an extra £20 customs handling charges.
I didn’t even declare the full value of the headphones (Beats Fit Pro) as I put £40, £5 for the book and £0 for the retainer.
Surely there must be a way for me not to pay import fees when sending my own stuff (apart from going back in time and stop Brexit).
What if I had to move out of the country and carry my belongings, would I have to pay customs duty on all of them?

Flying a drone filming the ground during the eclipse

I’ll be in the path of totality. Is it worth flying my drone as high as allowed (120m) to record a video of the ground? Will I be able to see the moving shadow?
Edit: there will be nobody around us for kilometres

[Question] Can someone tell me if this iPhone 14 screen is genuine?

I recently sent an iPhone for repair under warranty. Since it was in its second year, this was handled by the seller which sent it to an authorised repair centre. The issue was that the touchscreen had become unresponsive after some water had spilled on it (although I didn’t mention that part). They came back saying they couldn’t pass it as a warranty as it had been in contact with water (fair enough), but also because the screen was not genuine. It belongs to my mother and she’s like 99% sure this screen hadn’t been changed (her previous one might).
The repair centre has provided the first 2 pictures, highlighting the screen as ‘abnormal’, but I wonder if it could show like that because the contact with water. Secondly, they highlighted some markings on the flex.
I have already replaced the screen myself, so this is just me asking out of curiosity and to settle the matter.

[Howto] How to preserve autobrightness after replacing the screen on iPhone 14?

Hello, I have a iPhone 14 that needs a screen replacement, the digitiser stopped working after getting in contact with water.
I have read that after using a new screen something needs to be done with a ‘programmer’ or something to transfer the calibration data from the old to the new screen or something like that.
Autobrightness seems like a fundamental feature to me so I want to make sure it works, otherwise I’ll just sell the phone for parts.
What do I need to do?
The screen I intend to buy is this one

Is it me or the design of the depth stop is stupid?

The only way I found to adjust it is loosening the side handle and then trying to squeeze it, then tightening it again. Am I missing something obvious?

Shorter replacement screen? (iPhone 14)

I just received this replacement screen for an iPhone 14 from Amazon (LL trader brand), paid around £25.
It seems to have a thicker border at the bottom and I guess the usable portion of the screen is shorter. Has anybody ever found this?

Inlet/outlet on vertical column radiator, does it matter?

I’ve just prepared the pipes to have the flow on thw right and the return on the left. I have just unboxed the radiator and found two stickers for ‘inlet’ and ‘outlet’ as per the picture.
I don’t think it should make a difference as I think it’s perfectly symmetrical, but I thought I’d check. Does anyone know?

What kind of motor is this and is it broken?

https://youtube.com/shorts/CbWVHSdca20?is=OTBAPv6jmp0hpiLa

My EgoPower LM2120E-SP lawnmower had stopped being able to self propel; when you pulled the lever, nothing happened. I had diagnosed a fault with the electrical assembly, after having checked all wiring.
I bought and fitted a replacement electrical assembly and it now makes this noise when pulling the lever, but still not moving.
There are only three wires going to the motor; I’ve checked with a multimeter the resistance of each combination of 2 and it shows 0 (it doesn’t measure very small resistances) so I guess no winding is broken.

What would the 12th August eclipse look like from Italy?

I’m going to Spain to see it in the path of totality, but I would like to know what will be visible from Italy so I can maybe give some glasses to a few relatives. I imagine there won’t be any noticeable change in light, but how close to the sun will the moon get? Is there any simulator to give me an idea?

Is this motor faulty?

Motor from an EgoPower lawnmower; I recently replaced the motor controller with a new one. While before nothing was happening, the motor now nudges but it still doesn’t spin. There are only 3 wires going to the motor. Measuring the resistance between each pair of wires with my multimeter I see 0Ω (it doesn’t measure small resistance).
Measuring the output between each pair of wires from the controller I can see some voltage for less than a second (I can’t tell if AC or DC, but my multimeter detects something, it didn’t detect anything with the old controller).
Do you think the motor is faulty?

Almost completed cell replacement

I installed new EVE 2.5Ah cells in my 6Ah Ego battery that had a bad group of cells (consistently self draining). I replaced all cells and it must have taken me 6 hours to remove the old ‘strips’ and install the new ones. I used nickel plates strips over copper. What took me the most was cutting every single strip to the exact length/shape. I wish you could just buy these. I remember seeing a youtube video of someone who had them custom cut to the proper shape, but I can’t find it anymore.
My soldering iron stopped working so I cannot resolder the balance leads; tomorrow I’ll receive a new one and I’ll tell you if the battery works.

Behaviour of Three phase hybrid inverter with zero export

Hello, can someone tell me if a Deye hybrid inverter in a grid tie configuration has both these working modes (info taken from a Solis manual)?
Also, can it also be used in an off grid mode (i.e. disconnected from the grid as long as battery has power, then connected to the grid when battery is depleted)?

How realistic is this delivery date?

I just bought this shower and didn’t realise it said ‘delivery 1 August’. It seems a bit too long of a wait, what are people’s experience with these predicted delivery dates?
